To preface this review: I had my oral surgery at Core Dental in downtown with Dr. Taras and was told to go for follow ups to Dental Studio on the Southside with Dr. Ardakani. I had my wisdom teeth removed from this clinic earlier this year. We started off on the wrong foot when the receptionist had promised me that they administer analgesia through IV to be put out completely for the surgery (I have the worst fear of the dentist and they knew this). When I arrived for my procedure, they tell me they don’t actually administer analgesia through IV, so I was left with oral analgesics in which I would still be awake. I thank Dr. Taras (my oral surgeon and the only positive experience I had with a health care provider here) as he calmed and re-assured me I’d be ok and he’d give me something strong, which he did and I am so thankful for. From here, it all went downhill. After my procedure I developed dry socket and was in alot of pain. Pain I can’t even describe, it was the worst pain of my life. This pain was felt throughout all my teeth, in my whole jaw, and throughout my whole head, causing the worst migraine imaginable. When the pain initially started kicking in a few days after my surgery I initially called my oral surgeon Dr. Taras, but they told me my oral surgeon couldn’t see me right away because of their very limited hours of operation. I then tried calling to see if Dr. Ardakani could see me, but his office was closed. Unable to tolerate the pain any longer, with no help from my dentist office that performed my oral surgery, I then had to pay for an emergency visit to a completely different dentist clinic to help resolve the pain temporarily. After this, I returned to Dental Studio (when/if they were open) about 3 more times for this pain as it wasn’t resolving and the pain meds prescribed were not enough. The third time I went I asked my oral surgeon if he could prescribe me something stronger because my pain was very poorly controlled. He unfortunately couldn’t prescribe because he was new in the province so told Dr. Ardakani to sign off on the prescription for stronger pain meds. The next morning I called to see if Dr. Ardakani had signed my prescription for my pain meds, but it turned out that Dr. Ardakani had left town for the next 5 days and didn’t sign the prescription before he left…so I never got that prescription through the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I don’t know if they thought I was drug seeking or if they were just forgetful and unprofessional? I’m not sure. They could’ve easily looked through connect care and seen I’ve never been on narcotics in my life. I never once got the proper pain control, even for a second throughout my painful recovery. As my visits got more frequent because my pain was intolerable, I felt the staff and Dr. Ardakani were getting increasingly annoyed of me. I felt they thought I was over exaggerating the pain but clearly none of them have had dry socket before. I felt like I paid over a thousand dollars, even with insurance covering, for pain. On top of it it’s VERY hard to get a hold of the clinic since their hours of operation are never consistent and are VERY limited. It was very hard to seek care when needed. To me, this place is a money grab. They took my money and didn’t do anything about my complications after- it was patient neglect. Save your money and go somewhere else where they have consistent times and hours of operation and actually care about patients. Very unprofessional. I will never go to this dental clinic again, as my experience with this clinic has left me traumatized.

My experience here was honestly okay-ish, I didn't have much of a complaint at all initially. It was quite pricey so I decided to shop around and found another office offering lower prices with similar quality. I asked Downtown Core to send my x-rays to the other office I wanted to visit. I received some valid excuses as to why they couldn't immediately send them. No problem. Followed up again a week later. Some more excuses. Hmm, okay. By the time my next appointment at the new clinic came up, they had still not received my x-rays but the new office was really nice and offered me free bitewings just so that they could review and perform the work and not have to delay the appointment. Still no response from Downtown Core. Emailed again, nothing. I tried calling but they're closed more than they are open. I finally called when they were open and nobody picked up. I left a voicemail asking to call me back with a description of my issue. Nothing. I'm honestly shocked, I paid for those x-rays and would like to make use of them! Weeks later and still nothing. They claimed they sent them but the other office never actually received them. I'm glad I'm taking my business elsewhere if this is the level of responsiveness I'm receiving. What's worse, my wife went here too to fill in a chipped tooth. They quoted a firm price over email (made sure to get it in writing) and then over charged for it anyway, for a simple 10 minute fix. The doctor was cranky and rude too. On top of that, 2 months later, the filling is worn out and it looks chipped again! Unbelievably low quality at very high prices. I have no idea how they have such high reviews.

Both of my girls had happy visits and cleanings at the dentist this morning. And this place is so awesome and friendly... W (3 years old) was so happy and comfort she did her appointment on her own and E (6 years old) was waiting with excitement (who gets excited at dentist? lol) for her turn. We love this place ❤️ And I also did my cleaning and check up this week and they were so patient with me and supportive because of my anxiety. %100 recommend them!!!!! Sheena at the front was amazing at explaining everything to me and so welcoming and kind. Hannah did the gentlest hand scaling cleaning I have EVER had and super thorough. Marissa is amazing with my kiddos and super fun and friendly and she did the girls' checkups and cleanings. Dr Alice was also so gentle and kind and great at explaining options for my dental care. I even got to have aromatherapy in the room and watch Netflix. The waiting area is cozy and comfortable and they have colouring for the kids (and netflix and games/internet computer table) and coffee for the adults. This dental experience was a game changer for my family! Great job to Core Dental Downtown

Be careful getting any crown work done here: not only is it expensive--they might mess up the shape of your smile. One of my front teeth needed a replacement. The crown I was given was misshapen and clearly jutted out several millimeters further than the original tooth, which has affected my ability to chew food. When I brought this up to Dr. Ardakani I was met with a condescending dismissal of my concerns. Never mind the fact that now I can't bite down naturally, that's not his concern. Never mind the fact that I'm getting jaw pain because of this crown, he doesn't care. Never mind that I've had years of expensive orthodontic work and that my smile looks crooked now, it's obviously not their fault. For what it's worth the other work I've had done here was satisfactory. Edit: I never said Dr. A did the crown. He was however totally dismissive and condescending when I brought up my concerns, as evidenced by the reply to this review. Total lack of sympathy for shoddy work done at his practice. He doesn't care about your teeth, he cares about your $$$!

This clinic is a money grab. I called in for my first time and scheduled a routine cleaning. Took off work early today to go to my appointment, they got me in did a bunch of check ups and X-rays then send me my way back and said we gonna book you in now for your cleaning when that was the reason of my appointment. On top of that I had to pay 50$ when my insurance covers 100% of the cost. When I asked why, the receptionist said maybe my insurance doesn’t have 100% coverage for all they did, Just to find out when I called my insurance that everything they did was in fact 100% covered but they charge over the dental guideline prices, reason why I had to pay extra out of pocket and they had the nerves to try and put it on my insurance, saying maybe they don’t have 100% coverage instead of telling me the truth and wasted my time by not even getting a cleaning done when the whole purpose of this appointment was for cleaning What a shame.

After reading everyone's review on here I decided to give them a chance, and I'm sure glad I did! The customer service is top knotch ! I've had dentists in the past where they simply have told me if I have a cavity or if something needed to be fixed. What I like about Core Dental is they really educate you on what exactly is going on in your mouth. They do this by taking pictures of different angles of your teeth, followed by x-rays after. Once that's completed they'll show you the results on a big flat screen. From there you visually can see a cavity, chip tooth, or even damages from grinding. Finishing on that note, I definitely give this place and the staff 5 out of 5. Thank you Core Dental

Not sure what happened but my previous review disappeared. Most likely it was too long because I wanted to be sure to mention how impressed I am with Dr Alice and every member of her team. Starting with Sammy who had to make 2 attempts to secure my records from Winnipeg and did so stress free, next Hannah who made a cleaning and scaling a pleasant (and humourous) experience, today Merissa completed a full exam and provided enjoyable conversation throughout. Last but not least Dr Alice reviewed my ex rays with me and made me feel comfortable about future treatment and results. This review is getting long too so I’ll sign off with a plus5 star rating for Core Dental and all its peeps

Downtown Core is such a great dental house to go for any dental concern. I personally don’t have good teeth condition and am in need of so many treatments so I am in constant need of seeing dentist. I have tried couple of different doctors in Edmonton since 5 years ago and was not very satisfied with either their attitude or the actual services until I was lucky enough to find Dr. Ardakani at Core . He is very knowledgeable and discreet as well as experienced and professional. Everyone treats you well and they are all so caring. I am glad I eventually found my dental house in this town . I would definitely recommend this place to everyone to try. It is all worth it.

I am a new patient at Downtown Core Dental and I had my first appointment today. The overall experience was exceptional and the entire team is so kind and welcoming. They offered quality service with genuine hospitality. Dr. Ardakani was very kind and patient and showed a genuine interest in my concerns and improvements I wanted to make and he answered all of my questions. I was very impressed with the range of services they have available. The environment was both professional and homey. Overall, it was the best experience I have had at a dental clinic by far and I would highly recommend their service to anyone and I will be returning in the future!

Had to get emergency tooth pulled. 7pm on a saturday. These guys hooked us up. Greeted by Charlene at the door with a big smile and it got better from there. Karan took us in to get all set up and it was laughter and smiles the whole time. Nervous about the dentist but this was absolutly pain free. Dr. Aj Seeha came in and walked me through everything and made sure i understood everything going on. I highly 10000% recommend these guys. If you are scared of the dentist, this crew will totally take care of you. Almost sad it was time to leave when it was all done. Dr. Seeha, Charlene, and Karan - you guys rock!!!

I had went to core dental for the first time after not being to the dentist since High school... Yikes, but all the staff at core dental were kind, understanding and accommodating. Dr. Ardakani made sure that I was completely comfortable with each procedure and went above and beyond to ensure that each visit was a good experience for me. Also, the reception staff was diligent with handling my insurance coverage from multiple providers. I will absolutely be returning!!! Special thanks again to all the staff for helping me overcome my irrational fear of the dentist!!!!

My first visit to Downtown Dental Core was amazing. I was given a very warm welcome by Dr. Ardakani when I first entered, and the friendly greeting from Dr. Ardakani was followed up by a great cleaning from hygienist Hatim Ghotme who was as very friendly as he was knowledgeable, answering all my questions and explaining things thoroughly. Dr. Ardakani also was great explaining the x-rays of my teeth to me and thanking me for coming. Big thank you to the entire team at Downtown Dental Core. They will keep my smiling a happy and healthy smile for many years to come!

Had severe dental pain where I had to wait for 3-4 weeks for it to be removed, was about to pull out the tooth myself till someone told me they had someone at core dental that can do oral surgery. Thank god! they took me in right away. Dr. Taras Klitovchenko your awesomeness is radiating to the four corners of the universe, its brining the saints and sages to tears!!! Oh and the hygienist and the clerks were great too, they quickly tried to call the doctor for me to see if he can either see me stat or the next day, can't really complain about the service that day.

I love Dr. Ardakani and his team. Sometimes life happens and I can't come in for a few months but they never hold it against me and always check in to see if I want to book a new appointment which makes me feel valued as a patient. Their office is modern and clean without feeling stuffy or overly clinical. Their thoroughness in trying to give me the price quotes for worst case scenarios is awesome because when the price comes out to less than expected, I always end up feeling like I won something. They're also just really awesome people!

I had called into Core Dental Downtown to get some quotes on some work I needed done. At the time I have to say I was pretty hard to deal with. I ended up talking to the most personable receptionist. She was so sensitive to my needs and made sure she got all the answers I was looking for. I am a true believer to give praise where it is needed. I will now make sure me and my family go there! Had an awesome experience at Core Dental today. Dr. Alice and her team are nothing but phenomenal! My first impressions of this dental office were leading edge technology, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! The staff at Core Dental Downtown Edmonton location are very welcoming and efficient. Nicole and Teresa are friendly and make you feel at ease. They check with your insurance provider to determine what benefits will be covered and the amount the patient is responsible for prior to the dental procedure so there are no surprises. My dentist Dr. Ardakani is very efficient and you know you are in good hands with any dental procedure. I highly recommend new patients to give this location a try.

I have been going here for a few years and after my my most recent visit I must praIse all the staff from front reception, to the dental hygienist and cleaning support. They are ALL so friendly and informative, you can tell they love their jobs! It was such a great experience in client service! As much as I dislike needing to get work done (lol) I am excited to see Dr. Ardakani and his team again because I know I’m in great hands. I will recommend to all my friends and family!

I highly recommend Downtown Core Dental. It's surprising, for me, to say I have a great experience for my dental appointments - I have pretty bad anxiety about going to the dentist, for anything. My anxiety has gone down quite a bit since I've started going to Core Dental - they're gentle when I come in for my cleanings and always making sure I'm comfortable. The office is always clean and all the staff are welcoming and kind; happy and ready to answer my many questions.

I typically dislike the Dentist, but am changing my tune after visiting Core Dental Downtown! Professional, knowledgeable, and unbelievably personable. I felt so taken care of by all staff who performed/assisted with my wisdom tooth extraction. I'm typically very nervous with the Dentist, but felt I was in great hands at every step - from the initial booking of the appointment through to the end of the procedure/onward. Would recommend this office to everyone!

Core Dentals was recommended by another client, I’m very glad I took the advice, with having several different procedures over multiple weeks, everyone has been amazing, they work very hard at making clients feel comfortable and well informed and valued, I am not a fan of dental work, Core Dental has completely changed my perspective, they are a group of great people that truly care and enjoy their work. My husband goes to this dental office. They do good work and are friendly, but they are terrible to work with if you have insurance, and extra terrible if you have two insurance plans to coordinate. They didn't submit the claim to our insurance, and didn't tell us for over a year, and now it's too late for us to make the claim. It cost us nearly $1,000 out of pocket that insurance would have covered. We are not impressed and he will not be going back.

I had an awsome experience last week on Core Dental with Dr Alice. I work near by and I was thinkin since it was a new place and a fancy clinic it could be very expensive, but the other way around they have very competitive prices. I was very happy that they have availability to take care of my problem as soon as posible. My only suggestion is to please show the hours on the front door, since they have different schedule from one day to another.

It was my first time in this clinic. And honestly I was very impressed by the staff. I was offered a coffee when I arrived and while waiting. The staff was very friendly and sparkly. I hated to go to dentists before and I am changing my mind now! Dr. Alice was very nice too. She managed to accommodate my time with hers since the visit took a bit longer than expected. The clinic has a high end technology and painless! Surely, I will go back!

Even though this isn't the exact office that I brought my husband to, the entire Core Dental Group is AMAZING!! I was in contact with Tamara and she did all the leg work to get my man child husband into an office ASAP (Rabbit Hill location). He had a really great experience... amazingly because he hasn't been to a dentist in 9 years, but I don't think I'll have to drag him in the future! Thank you Tamara and Core Dental!!!

My experience at this clinic was amazing! My hygentist Hatim was great my teeth felt very clean after, and he made me feel at ease as I'm not a big of coming to the dentist. Doesn't stop there, Dr.Ardakani and his assistant Mariam were the best, Mariam's bubbly personality made me feel so comfortable and very welcomed. I highly recommend coming to this dental office, one the best environments a clinic can have!

Every time I go to Core Dental it’s not even like I’m going to the dentist. It’s more like a spa for my mouth. It’s ridiculously clean and well maintained with the friendliest staff. Dr. Ardakani is amazing and his assistant Victoria couldn’t be more lovely. Overall I have the best time when I’m there and this is coming from someone who used to hate the dentist.

I've recently relocated to downtown and moved my dental office to Core Dental Downtown. I must say, my impression and experience with this dental office has been nothing but amazing since day one. The staff are very professional, friendly and sociable. My dentist, Dr. Alice, is also very friendly and skilled. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this clinic!

All I wanted was to get my tooth pull out and some cleaning that’s all I wanted. I don’t know what they did I can’t even eat and all the fillers they did it’s falling off and I regret going there and now am in so much pain. The Tooth that I wanted to pulled out it’s not even pull out, please don’t go there I really hate myself for going there.

Really friendly and cheer up girls! I wasn't in good mood but they made everything so easy and explained in details, and made me feel comfortable! If English is your second language, don't worry about it, they are very patient, they will explain and give you time on it. I have to say they are international student friendly! This is a great place, I called in the middle of the night for an appointment and they were able to see me right away. Beautifully decorated and high tech yet very comfortable atmosphere, and super friendly night staff. I will definitely go there again even for a non-emergency. They had other non dental services as well which was cool too.

Ive been going to this dentist for years. I recently had to transfer locations because downtown is closer to home. I absolutely love then. All of them are fantastic and friendly and I could not ask for a better dentist office. Today is the day I got my invisalign, all of them were super happy for me and I couldn't be more excited!!!

The service is excellent. Effective booking/reminder system. Friendly staff. I went for a cleaning and had some cavities filled. Overall was very pleased with the experience. The office has a lot of tech, including a television on the ceiling so that you can watch Youtubr while the work is ongoing. Highly recommended.

Great job done to my teeth. Always friendly staff and accommodating. The only issue is that they are significantly more expensive than the dental price guidelines and many other dentists. Also it would be nice to know which treatments are covered under insurance and which are not before the start of the treatment.

Best clinic ever, I’ve never felt so comfortable on a dental chair. I didn’t even feel the freezing, Dr.Ardakani is very gentle and also has great jokes to make the appointment much more enjoyable! I highly recommend coming here it’s such a modern clinic and everyone there is also very genuine and kind.

What an amazing team core dental is! The dentist is incredible and efficient, and the assistants are very helpful and friendly. I found that Victoria was extremely happy to be there and was very energetic towards helping her patients. I highly recommend more people go visit this dentist!

Needed emergency dental care as one of my teeth broke. Everyone I encountered was knowledgeable and kind. I left feeling much better than when I arrived. I'd definitely recommend their services.
