Why o why, what has happened. I've been spruking this place for years now as i found it had the best value, good quality food in the area. I once ordered $350 worth of food delivered it was that good. Then i place a $60 order and it is underwhelming to say the least. The whole boneless chicken is barely cooked when its usually nicely charred and dripping with marinade. The octopus is also under-cooked and rubbery which i dont understand as ive had this a dozen times and was always really really good. To top it off, the thai vegetable salad was very watery and then i found mealworm on my plate, alive and wriggling. I had eaten a bit before i found it so who knows how many i ate. I rang back and told them, they just said sorry. I've taken a picture and said i can send it to them, also told them to check their veges for mealworms. In all honesty if thier food was at its usual best i would have pushed the worm off the plate and continued to chow down. Someone there must have known the food was no good before it was sent out. Did a trainee cook the food or are you just another in a long line that take advantage of nice people and think nothing of it? As i said on the phone i wont order from here again and instead of spruking i will be denoting.

I know this place probably over 12 years since i lived before in padstow. During these lockdown in Sydney, this place would be my favourite place. Price is not being rip off when you order it through menulog or through their website . Both has the same price and free delivery. The only bad thing i found is their inconsistent to cook with bad taste and sometimes it can be forgotten if you order it again the next time as they will give you better taste. The good thing is their delivery and we dont need to wait long, compared to other thai restaurant in panania that cook too long. Our favouritte menu is the pad thai as it comes with authentic thai flavour. Their bbq pork is good thing to try if you have not tried. Also try the yummy beef salad, love that dressing .

Ate here on a Tues night. Was good. Food was good, but waited a long time for food, seeing we were first at restaurant, others who walked in later got either food first or same time. The money bags were nice, but for 4 for 14 bucks not worth it. The money bags were the size of a teaspoon. The red duck curry was nice, lots of meat, but hubby thought it was too sweet, I agree it was nice at first but after a while gets a bit sweet. Hubby ordered sizzling lamb was very healthy. He said that was nice. Service was as expected, they take the order, they bring food and you pay at the counter.

Have been going to Doytao for a few years now, on my last visit I was very disappointed with the food and service. No customer service at all the waitresses do not smile what so ever. Not sure if they have changed ownership but everything was very different. I was disgusted after paying my bill and walking out one of the waitress chased me outside saying that they had under charged me by 1 drink. We were a table of 10 so the bill was a lot and they made the mistake of undercharging us by $3 very disappointed that they would come out and chase you for that. I will definitely not be returning or recommend anyone to this Thai restaurant.

Food is usually reliably good at all the Doytao shops I have eaten at. This was no exception. Service was area of concern as I moved a table in the window about 10cm so I had the full width of the table to sit at. The person taking our order said you can't do that or we can't access the table. The thing is, there was access from multiple directions, and whilst this might have hindered access in one direction, the place was empty. We were the only ones inside the business. He suggested another table and we accommodated him by moving!!?

This place needs a big reality check. You are no longer the only Thai restaurant in the tri-suburb area and you need to learn from your mistakes. Rude staff, smaller portions, price increases and a dirty environment is just the start. This place has gone downhill over the past year. Either new management or just lack of care. Don't bother, There are plenty of Thai restaurants in Panania and Revesby that are of much better quality and value.

Doytao holds a special place in our hearts, being our family favourite for yonks. Be it birthdays, celebrations or simple catch-ups, we always find ourselves returning here. The food is consistently delicious even after all these years. We've got our go-to order: the salt and pepper squid, chicken pad thai, beef pad see eew, and money bags. Truly a gem of a place!

PADSTOW We have only dined in, the food is very good, fresh, good portions. A little bit $$ than other Thai restaurant but I'm happy to pay because it's worth it. Only down side we found was they have No ice if you bring a white wine, they fill the bucket with water to sit your wine in. The girls seem to not understand when we ask for ice in the bucket they only put a couple of bits. In the end my partner went across the road to the pub and bought a bag of ice, we used what we needed then gave it to them. We were still ok with that Life goes on and food was good.

Food was fine. Enjoyed the Chicken Green Curry, filled with great vegetables. Also Massamum Beef Curry, spring rolls and rice. Service was woefully bad. They need someone assigned to purely looking after customers, orders and payments.

Lots of vegetraian options to choose from. Not sure if any of this is vegan because it was very difficult to communicate with the servers because of language. They were very nice though. The food was decent. Just regular nice tasting fresh amazing Thai food. The seating inside the restaurant is not very comfortable and it's a bit cramped. Some of the items are a bit expensive and not worth what you pay for. It's just a regular Thai restaurant. Pretty much what you would expect but nothing overly impressive.

I'm at Doytao right now, tired of swatting flies away, bemused by the baby roach casually strolling on the table across from us. There was a hair in my fried rice, there's another one in the coconut rice - must be a secret Thai ingredient. The food is OK. Very disappointed. I was hoping it would be a good treat for my family and my in-laws but I'm regretting the decision to come here. So, if you like lots of flies, some hair and a roach while you're having a so so meal, you can't go wrong with Doytao.

I have gone to many thai restaurants in my life but i havent try the padthai from this restaurant in my life. I told them two times not to put sweet sauce in my food they give me the same sweet i was thinking its a desert or lunch. I told them to replace it they said they will fix it after 2 min they bring the same noodles with some oil and lemon juice so this is my first and last experience in this restaurant. And i will not suggest customers to go. Thanks

The food is good quality, the menu has all your Thai favourites and the staff are friendly and attentive but the kitchen can often be overrun by the restaurant's popularity, causing delays. Still, it's one of the best and more popular restaurants in the area, hands down. We've been back dozens of times in small and large groups. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are more than reasonable for the serving size and the quality.

Thai restaurant located at the corner shop beside Padstow station. There are public parking lots Infront or behind the shoplots. There seats both inside and outside the restaurant. They have open kitchen concept so we are able to see the chefs cooking. Food taste is good, slight sweet but not too spicy. We were surprised at how tiny the bowl of tomyum soup is, definitely not for sharing! They don't accept Service NSW voucher at the moment.

Had a take away, $16.90 for lunch “special” chicken pad kee mao. And there are no vegetable/tofu option, only meat or seafood. The taste is “family level”, It’s overpriced, and it’s not a big meal. I came to this restaurant because the other Thai restaurant are closed. The only thing I’m happy about is they cook very fast.

The food was good but the only compliant was that we ordered Tom Yam Fried Rice with prawns and then the dish came with seafood in it. We told a staff “no seafood but just prawns” straight away. Eventually it came back correctly but they charged us price of Seafood Tom Yam Fried Rice. This was more expensive than what we had expected to order just Tome Yam Fried Rice with Prawns.

*Chicken satay was burnt and chicken wasnt fresh. *Stirfry with chilli (asked for crispy pork) got pork only not much flavour in it. * Masman beef no flavour very bland. * Money bags very yummy, this was the only dish that was worth eating. 2 stars is for on time delivery. Wont go back there!!

Very disappointed with the experience.. lots of extra charges to remove some of the vegetables or swap the noodles. Then to watch the chef and kitchen hand popping pimples on each other’s faces in the open kitchen then go back to cooking without washing hands is disgusting. Thy must have changed the chef. We are regulars & eat there a lot. Tonight I ordered the usual bbq lamb take away and I was so disappointed. The lamb pieces were full of fat and almost un edible. Lucky I have a dog & did not go to waste. Also the chicken satay sauce tasted way different. I will give them one more chance. If fail, bye bye doytao

Good bulk food, welcoming atmosphere. No offense but we recently rated iThai across the road with 3-star out of 5. The food here (Doytao Thai) is more expensive, less refined and less fresh. But (a big BUT) is that it is still good, large prawns (frozen, probably imported) and the atmosphere is inviting with the open doors (no air-con).

Came in tonight for a casual dinner with two friends. The service was above adequate. Food was ordered and we were served within 15 minutes of ordering. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken. Tasted great. Noodles were not sloppy and flavourful. An abundance of chicken. Well presented. Arguably best Thai in the Revesby-padstow area.

Definitely a place to try out when in Padstow. The food has improved a lot since I last reviewed and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Please don’t miss out on Pad Thai with chicken. The beef salad was also a hit in a hot weather.

Have been going to this thai restaurant for the last 3 years on my last visit i was very disappointed. the staff are really rude, bad customer service, Food portion has gone smaller and price has increased, i believe that the chef has been changed. No greetings or welcoming . Definitely Won't be returning with my Family.

We have ordered here a number of times but the last two orders, specially the last order was beyond disappointing. The food was terrible. Prawn cakes were burnt, the chicken was dry and the veg looked like it had been cooked to death. Save your money and go anywhere else. Terrible food for such a lot of money.

It was pretty good food. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Reasonably priced.we have been there a few times. Yesterday we had lunch, nice staff 3 X seafood hot plate and 1 X beef with cashews and rice. Entree was chicken satay skewers, yummy also

Have never had an issue. Would never take a group of more than 6, you would be silly to expect 5 star service with a group that big in such a restaurant. Great for a meal before catching the train into the city for a night out with a couple of friends.

Clean and nice place for lunch, friendly staffs, especially the lunch menu set, only 12.5$ which is awesome: Charcoal chicken with green tea noodle & salad. Highly recommended.

One of the thai restaurant i love in sydney. They have few branches and taste alike. However, the dissapointed part is they discontinued the volcano chicken. For those volcano chicken lover like i do, you just missed the last date available to eat it.

Whilst food is nice, the service and ambience is shocking! Dined on a busy Saturday evening and wish we hadn’t as it was so so noisy plus long wait in between service! Probably wouldn’t dine in again!

Great friendly service, BYO. Banquet was alright, but too many chicken dishes and too much food for four people. Needs to be better portioned and maybe a little cheaper per person. Otherwise very clean and well presented.

My place of choice for lunch when I'm in the mood for Thai. Good quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Friendly laid back staff are awesome. The free carafes of water when going for the spicier options is a godsend.

Pad kee mau doesnt use fresh chillies. And is burned. Pricey. Called on the phone to say , prefer hot spicey. The lady didnt pay attention. And only add more chillies paste ,Refried again when i picked up the takeaway

On God this is the best Thai resturaunt I have ever been to. I love Thai food and have eaten at more Thai places than I can count however nothing has come close to doytao padstow. This place deserves a michellin star

Really nice food cooked there - no mass produced fish cakes or curry puffs. Restaurant is clean and staff are pleasant. Good variety of standard Thai food with some interesting extras. I would definitely go again.

This place is very average, actually below the standard you would expect in the Sydney CBD. The food has been very Westernised and there are much better local Thai restaurants close by that we frequent.

I love this place. I find that thai restaurants have gone downhill in general over the years, with too much salt and sugar, and overcooked veges. This place has been consistent for so long.

We are ordering from here for the last 4-5 years. Recently they changed staff and food quality and customer service has gone down. Wont be ordering from here anymore. Such a shame.

had dinner here on Friday night it was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff are very nice. Food came out fast and the restaurant was very clean but the food was amazing.

I've been eating from this place for a decade but the past couple of years the quality and quantity of the food has declined significantly since 2019 2020 .. disappointing.

Staff were nice and hospitable, however some tables who came after us got their order before us. Otherwise overall, it's a great local restaurant for family lunch/dinners.
