This review has been long overdue! But it's better late than never. LOL Dr. Sackey's Veterinary Clinic is by far the best veterinary experience I've ever had in this country during my pet-owning life! And that's saying a lot, because I've always had a pet or five for the last 25+ years lol. Unlike many other veterinary clinics in town, Dr. Sackey is always available, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I don't recall ever calling or texting him and being unable to reach him. He is extremely responsive, extremely thorough, and goes above and beyond to ensure that his furry friends are well cared for. I had an 8-year-old poodle mix who had been managing with a pretty bad forearm for years until he got into a fight over a female poodle one fateful evening. I was worried because he was bleeding all over the place. After observing it for a few hours, I decided to look online for a really good vet to take a look at it. I came across Dr Sackey and gave him a call. I told him about my poodle's (Snowy, aka Dr Sackey's bestie) problems and gave him my diagnosis (i tend to do that alot lol). He requested photos, which I sent, and then requested that we bring him in as soon as possible. So we made an appointment for him and took him in. Dr. Sackey performed a quick examination and determined that the arm needed to be amputated. The surgery took about 2 to 3 hours, and the aftercare was estimated to take about 2 to 3 weeks for the site to heal completely. Snowy however, had other plans, so the joke was on us!! Snowy wouldn't calm down and kept reopening his stitches, so 2 to 3 weeks turned into close to 3 months. We went to the clinic at least once a week because Snowy had discovered a new way to stress us out. Dr. Sackey was extremely patient and genuinely cared about Snowy. He checked in every day for pictures and videos, prescribed all the sedatives medically permitted to calm this dog down, suggested a cone to keep him from getting to the wound, made late night home calls from East Legon all the way to Dansoman to administer routine antibiotics but wind up performing emergency restitch surgeries on at least three separate occassions on my porch amidst mosquitoes from hell, heat, and manageable lighting. It was truly a looooong road, but he never gave up! He stayed with us until the very end. We were finally able to keep the wound closed and Snowy calm long enough for him to heal after exhausting all of the stitching techniques in his medical books. He is now fully recovered, with hair growing on the site and running around on his three legs as if nothing had happened, all thanks to Dr. Sackey! I wholeheartedly endorse his practice. He is attentive, thorough, and all round amazing! ! Safe to say I NOW have a vet for life. Dr. Sackey, Snowy and I will be eternally grateful for all of your efforts!

We went to see Dr Sackey with our dog because he had no appetite and was lethargic. After a complete blood count, we knew he had "dog malaria". But Dr. Sackey got him back on his feet quickly and with a targeted treatment. As we come from Europe, we always have to take care of all the necessary vaccinations to be able to take our dog back with us. Here, too, we were well advised and were able to have him vaccinated without any problems. With all the necessary documents. We can only recommend Dr. Sackey and would like to thank him again for his help.

Based on reviews , I decided to visit Dr Sackey Veterinary clinic.it was actually my first time going to the clinic . Such a serene environment and it was easy to locate. My dog was very sick and was diagnosed with tick fever . Dr Sackey took great care of kikie and it has been an awesome experience from day one . He was always available and reachable at what he does . And such a humble person as well . Thank you and highly recommended.

Great customer service. Dr Kojo Sackey is very attentive and highly skilled at his job. He responds promptly in emergencies. It can’t be easy trying to figure what’s wrong with animals, as they can’t communicate, so I’m very impressed. He keeps things very professional at all times and most importantly has a well equipped facility. I would highly recommend.

Dr Sackey is probably the best vet I’ve had since becoming a dog mum in Accra. Besides being extremely knowledgeable, he is always professional, on time & always explains what is happening with your pet, which essential. He also offers grooming and fumigation services, which is extremely helpful. I can’t recommend him enough.

Excellent service overall. My dog was almost dying from a parvo virus attack and l was given professional and customized support by the Vets at Dr Sackeys. Post treatment, they also had a service for fumigation. I would recommend them any day.

This was my first time going to this clinic. It's easy to locate. Unfortunately, I didn't go seeking vet services so I cannot rate that. But Dr. Sackey is a very affable person. I believe he will do a great job when you need his service.

Dr Sackey has been our vet for years now and every visit is always educative and calm! He talks me through causes, remedy and prevention! My babies are healthy and I’m a better dog mum because of the service and advise!

Dr Sackey's clinic is a modern clinic with friendly and very professional staff. The veterinary surgeon also takes his time to explain to you all that is required of you to take care of your puppy.
