My husband was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and polyneuropathy but we had a hard time understanding the results of his medical tests and would like an English-speaking doctor to explain it to us. I've searched online for "English speaking doctor in Bologna" and Dr. Williams name came up. Though I was only able to find 1 review, I gave him a call and booked the appointment. IF I COULD GIVE HIM A 100000 stars, I WOULD! He was such an amazing doctor. He did a full check up on my husband and took time to read the medical results and asked questions. He was the only doctor (after seeing several doctors already) that prescribed a medicine that really helped to ease his pain (only in 1 visit). Then, we ran into problem with the Pharmacy regarding releasing his insulin medications and we gave him a call (It was on a Sunday morning) He helped us get the insulin my husband needed and made sure that my husband is able to take his insulin that day. So grateful for him! It’s rare to find a doctor who really cares and compassionate with outstanding quality of medical care! Highly recommend.

Wonderful doctor! I recently contracted Covid while in Italy. So I was under quarantine at home and was very scared. Dr Williams sent me emails to calm me down with kind caring words and superb advice. He said he would be there for me if I got worse as I don't speak Italian very well. He even offered to come see me, but I didn't want to risk him getting it. I'm on my way to feeling completely recovered now, but I know his recommendations for medicines and the kindness he showed me helped me through all this. Highly recommend this wonderful doctor. Exceptionnel ! Comme d'autres avis, j'ai trouvé le docteur vraiment exceptionnel : patient, professionnel, à l'écoute, rassurant... avec le sens de l'humour. Il donne envie de devenir résident à Bologne pour l'avoir comme médecin traitant ! Donc moi aussi j'aurais envie de lui donner 10 000 étoiles. Bref, n'hésitez pas si vous avez un souci et que vous savez communiquer en anglais. PS : je précise comme une personne qui a laissé un avis : ce médecin est réel. On pourrait presque en douter face aux avis unanimes. Mais c'est vrai, il existe vraiment.

First of all, this doctor is real ! Reading the comments at first, I thought it was too good to be true....but Dr Williams really took the time to listen to me, get the whole historic of my problems and answered the best to my questions. For any erasmus student looking for an English speaker doctor, don’t hesitate that’s a sure choice.

We had a little emergency and luckily found Dr. William's profile online. It was a Saturday and doctor was kind enough to open the clinic just for us. He did a thorough checkup and offered temporary treatment until we return home. Professional and humourous english-speaking doctor, highly recommended.

Amazing Doctor from the USA speaks perfect English. I contacted Dr Williams in the morning about my wife's need for a prescription that she didn't bring enough. Within an hour he met with us, gave my wife her prescription and we got it filled. He is an angel.
