Really bad! Ordered online for home delivery, for some reason the website managed to send 75% to my home address ( to which I had received a damaged item) and told me to go to the further store 7 Miles away from my house(baring in mind I have a Dunelm less than 1 Mile from my house) . When I traveled over to further store, to collect my "home delivery items" now automatically changed to "click and collect" NOT MY CHOICE, I was told that the picking had been wrong and they didn't have all my items! ( also time to note they emailed me several times telling me to collect my items as they where ready) On this day I also tried to return the damaged lamp, I was also told they had no stocks, but stocks are showing in the store. after about 20 mins of waiting a second member of staff found me a lamp but still wasn't able to find me the PAID items from my "home delivery" / "click and collect" - they said it was a counting error when picking. Now the items I purchased where all part of a set and matching in colour , so you can see being fobbed off with other items wasn't going to match or suit. In the end result of this terrible all round online and in store service, I've ended up short 1 lamp, and short 1 throw ? I was told by the member of staff to complain to customer service as its really bad whats happened! So here it is.
Great selection, for the most part friendly staff, and lots of good sales. Went in for a few household items and they were well stocked with lots of variety. Their furniture selection is not as complete with only partial stock built and on display. We were looking for some bookshelves/cabinets but they had none being shown on the floor. Staff was very helpful and pointed us to the website for the full catelog. The cafe was also a lovely touch though the service there was only okay. One of the women who worked there was very nice but the other seemed confused by basic questions such as pricing and was a bit rude. Found a number of reduced items that were fantastic and both my husband and I loved the summer pineapple theme throughout. Currently there is a lot of retro 70s pieces, kitchenware, decorations, and furniture. Not my cup of tea but my partner loved it all. Great store with great access and parking
We had never shopped at Dunelm before and were suitably impressed. My partner and I were looking at the by-the-metre net curtains, quite overwhelmed by all the great choices and unsure on how much we would need. A lady came over and asked if we needed any help, explained how everything worked and helped us with sizing. She then cut the curtains for us and we had a lovely conversation at the same time. It is this wonderful customer service that is the reason why we have started to decorate our home at this store rather than a nearby competitor as we received no help there. We also got some packaged black out curtains which were a great price and work well. One of the colours that we liked needed to be ordered online as they didn't keep it in store but which we didn't mind doing as they had a sample in store so at least we could see it with our eyes before purchasing.
I went into the Brislington store today, with my two young children, my son has additional needs and is non verbal and his only way of communicating is by making loud noises, he wore his sunflower lanyard to show he has a hidden disability. I approached a member of staff to enquire about some wallpaper at this time my son was trying to interact with the lady to which her response was “ Don’t you shout at me” I explained he had additional needs, to which she replied “ So do I, don’t we all “ I felt very upset & disgusted by this whole situation and felt it was unacceptable. I will no longer shop in Dunelm and I certainly wouldn’t recommend taking anyone in with any disability as I wouldn’t wish anyone to feel the way I did this morning.
I bought a garden table set. When it arrived it was all beaten up, scratched, dented and rusty in some palaces. I then called customer services who didn’t seem to care very much and got another reordered. When the second set arrived it was more damaged then the first set. When I called customer service again there was just excuses no sincere apology and a laughable good will gesture. I’ve had to take three days off work to get this delivered and collected. When you spend so much money you expect a level of quality and service which I did not receive and will NOT be buying anything from you guys again!
I became pretty disappointed after I bought a pillow cover on clearance. When I opened its package, which usually comes in a plastic bag wrap, it smelled awful exactly like a dirty pillow cover. The worst part was the bloody stain on it. They sell their packed clearance which is non-refundable. If I had known it before, I could have spent the same amount in a charity shop and the money could have been spent on something worthy. Please be aware when you spend on clearance, maybe it's better to open the plastic bag and check it in front of their staff to avoid throwing it as a rubbish.
Waited 20 minutes at the tills with one staff member serving until another noticed there was quite a queue building. Staff around the store pretty indifferent to offering advice, advice given wasn't particularly helpful. It appeared I was taking up her valuable time or I'm not sure she could be bothered. I was clearly looking for someone to ask about material, one guy made eye contact then hastily walked away, another didn't even make eye contact when I approached so I moved onto the person sitting next to him. No smiles or politeness. Not great customer service really
So I leave everything last minute and went to find Christmas table decorations yesterday, after searching the whole shop for table cloths like the ones on display i had to ask a lovely man where I'd find them he pointed me in the right direction but so close to Christmas all the nice ones were gone, so the lovely man said if this is what u like (pointing to display) I'll take it apart and sell you this. So he did and now I have an amazing table set up for tomorrow. I wish I got your name to thank you personally you were great amazing customer service.
I foolishly thought that Dunelm solely sold towels, curtains and bedding until I visited this store at Brislington in Bristol. It is a large store that, indeed, sells a great variety of soft household soft furnishings but also there is a large department that sells kitchen appliances and wares. You can also purchase furniture including lighting, beds, mats, small household items too including clocks, storage and bathroom furniture. There's a reasonably large café and parking is free. Recommend this store for a visit even if only for a browse.
I have used Dunelm for quite a few years so am already a fan of their stuff. I have recently experienced their click and collect service during the second lockdown where I ordered online and when I got there, I clicked on the email confirmation to confirm I was outside. I waited around about 10 minutes and out came my items that were in a box so I could put the items in my car maintaining social distancing. The store assistant was friendly and it was good to know I could shop in a covid secure way. Will do click and collect again.
I couldn't fault this store when I visited. There is a large range of household furnishings and accessories, all reasonably priced. The boxing day sales were on when we visited which meant the store was very busy. We bought an item of furniture which was bulky. However, a member of Dunhelm Mill's staff went to find a hand operated pallet truck, loaded our item onto it, queued with me while I paid, then took it out to my car for me. This was excellent service. I highly recommend the store as a result.
The place for a large selection of haberdashery and homewares from lighting to curtains, bedding to wicker ware and pictures to clocks and just about everything in between, a great place for new and experienced homemakers alike. Modern and reasonably priced I always get cussed by my wife when we go there, because I take too long browsing and meandering through the aisle. There is plenty of free car parking here. Would recommend. ps if you find this review helpful, please give it a
I ordered 2 Toulouse bedside tables the matching lamps and the wide 4 drawer chest of drawers. Together with some cushions. I'm really pleased with the quality of the products. The online pictures really don't do them justice. I was particularly impressed with the ordering process and the ability to chose a day that suited me. One criticism tho is the unnecessary packaging this all comes in. Cardboard plastic etc. But overall I am super impressed.
Exceptional Customer Service is a rare find today, but i can honestly say i was blown away by the commitment of Sarah, who did everything she could to help me - looking online, ringing round other branches as far out as Weston, to make sure I benefited from the curtain discount which was finishing in 2 days. More importantly she kept her promise to phoning me back and updating me with progress, as she took ownership of my problem. Thank you Sarah
It's always a bit quiet due to its location I guess but I love it in here. I wouldn't say it's the cheapest and one bed sheet we bought didn't wash well and was useless (yes, you'd think it was safe buying a fitted sheet!). I've managed to get a few Xmas gifts that are different from the usual shops and I hope they will last. Returned an item and had no problems with this. Uses their online order and collect service and this was perfect.
Needed some net curtains for nearly all my windows and found some I liked and there was enough fabric of. I want to shout out Sam who took the time to check stock for me for the patterns I liked, talked me through the measurements and what I'd be getting and then took the time to carefully measure and cut all the net for me. I really appreciate the care he put into the whole interaction and the help he gave.
Often visit to peruse the shop and have bought many items from blinds, bedding and diffuser refills over the years. Quite good offers and sale items regularly available and nearly always good value. Stop in sometimes just to have a coffee and snack, there's usually a good selection reasonably priced. The cafe staff could be a little more welcoming and maybe even smile occasionally!
I had ordered a few Christmas presents, when they arrived they were broken, smashed and scratched due to being very poorly packaged. I rang up asking for the products to be replaced as soon as possible, but was told I had to send the original items back before they would send out replacements. Absolutely ridiculous, was not pleased with the poor customer service.
I prefer to shop at these stores rather than online. Nice to be able to see what you're buying and to look at other items in the store as there's an amazing selection of household furnishings and goods. Nothing worse than waiting in all day for a delivery and then it doesn't turn up. I like to support local shops and hope they don't disappear onto the Web.
My package was stated as delivered but it hadn't been so I called customer services and spoke to a lovely lady who said she would contact the courier for me. She regularly updated me over the course of a few days and in the end refunded me for my order, which I know is standard but it was a real easy process and customer services were really great!
Just had my 1st online delivery from them damaged & unusable as it was just sent in a polythene bag with no protection. My blind has an unsightly crease caused by a knock during transit, the centre steel support is damaged & the plastic weight broken in 2. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for a replacement. My 1st & last time shopping with this company.
Sometimes I forget about Dunelm when purchasing home products but actually the store has a nice selection of stuff at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking on site too. I should definitely keep this place in mind when looking to buy gifts or something for the house :) Was given a 25£ gift voucher here ... bought so many different odds and ends :)
I had to return a sheet I bought that I didn't like (I had bought 2 the same and used one but didn't like the fit so took back the unused one). As it was the night England were playing football there weren't a lot of customers so I found an alternative sheet and exchanged it - simple and quick. The man serving me was nice, chatty and pleasant.
Slightly annoyed that items are placed onto shelves without prices. Not always easy to find an assistant to help. Bought some Christmas wrapping paper from a box where the sign was indicating that all patterns were £2 only to find out at the checkout that our chosen design was larger and cost £3. They should be more clearly labelled.
Everything you need to add that finishing touch to your home. Beautiful stock to suit your needs and budget. A wide range of products some unusual and some main steam. Would not be such a good experience on a busy day, every thing was very packed. I suggest a mid-week evening visit, as I did, very nice shopping experience
This Dunelm was a lovely store, clean, tidy and everything was well stocked, such a fab variety of products and good range of prices. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed shopping here, an all-round good experience. Only change, is invest a little money into your toilets, there looking tired.
Love it!!! Affordable homeware. Loads of pick from including more unique styles which I love. There is also more expensive stuff you can get but ot pretty much caters for most people. Love a good browse around, but always come away with something. Plenty of parking. Wheelshair/pushchair ramp. Cafe inside.
Amazing staff always a nice shopping experience. We recently used their made to measure service where we had appointment for shutters, nice easy to arrange, the fitter arrived timely and was pleasant, polite and courteous. The turn around for the quote was extremely quick, very impressed. Thankyou !
Wanted to get a "V" pillow and a couple of pillow cases to match. Got the pillow okay but only one "V" pillow case could be found, buried deep in a set of standard cases. Would make more sense to me if the "V" cases (if there are any!) were located with the pillows as they are a specialised product.
Great experience at Cribbs store today. On arrival greeted by very polite friendly staff who had cleaned the trolly and arranged for my click and collect to be at the payment desk when ready to leave. Store was quiet, clean and didnt feel at all uncomfortable. Good social distancing. Well done guys.
Lovely shop! We bought lots of dishes bowls etc.. we a shame no attempt was given to wrap them to transport them home! Not even a bag was offered. Bought all individual ones so was rather difficult transporting them in a trolley them to the car without any protection! A slow drive home too.
Lovely! Need more time to explore! Lots of very good value homewares. Staff on tills very friendly, efficient and polite. Cafe nice but perhaps the staff could do a refresher on not keeping people waiting whilst chatting amongst themselves! Fortunately the lemon cheesecake was delicious!
It was the first time I visited and was pleasantly surprised at the stock and clear layout of the shop. It's a big place and has much more than you might think. There is even a café that seemed popular. Public toilets available. The staff were kind and helpful. Plenty of parking too.
My husband and I had never been in Dunelm before, but oh my were we impressed!! I'm not really that into soft furnishings and the like but oh my ! My eyes lit up at the site of all the beautifully colourful bedding and my husband's at the price. We would definitely recommend it.
Nice shop, good for curtains, bedding, furniture etc, with helpful staff. Even has it's own cafe and toilets. Nice level car park, only negative is it's steep steps at the entrance. It does have a ramp for your trolley and wheel chairs but it would make you blow pushing someone up it
A great selection of products for the home, everything from decorations and pillows all the way to custom made curtains. There are some good deals to be had especially in the kitchen department. Their on site cafe is good for a home store. The bacon sarnies are simple but good!
Went to pick up a click and collect order. Had a quick wander round the store while there. Lots of items reduced in price and wide range of homeware. They stock some really well designed crockery at a great price. Service was friendly and our order was as expected. Good value.
Will not recommend. Will not buy stuff from this shop again. They write different price in product and charge different price. Sugar and coffee jars were 2 pounds they charged 2.5 pounds. I bought 4 of them. 2 pound extra without mentioning it on the product. Shame on you.
Last Saturday a lady called Jenny helped me buy some curtains and I can honestly say she was one of loveliest, down to earth and attentive shop assistants I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Dunelm you have goodun there, give that lady a raise/bonus.
Great shop. Has everything you need. Nice coffee shop but be prepared to have a long wait to be severed. What ever you do don’t say anything’s as you are waiting, the little “large’ lady will bite your head of with her rudeness. Than she will go even slower.
It's a homeward store. Not much to say about it. Cafe person was rude, and ignored us, until I asked who was serving, after waiting a few minutes ... No, "I'll be there in a bit", .. nothing like that, just ignored us. Got a couple bits for the home.
Very helpful staff but I took ages getting through the till. 2 people serving and at least 20 in the queue. They dud bring on a 3rd person but a bit late fir those of us that had been waiting for ages. Other than that a great shop with good choice
I enjoyed browsing & finding everything I wanted. Free carpark, disability available. Good selection of household items. Premises were clean, bright & departments were sign posted. After browsing I enjoyed coffee/lunch at their good priced cafe!
Great choice of products in this Bristol, Brislington store. My Home curtains, Quilts, Sheets, Mirrors, kitchen equipment, Lamps and Lampshades are all from Dunelm. Value for money. Friendly staff. Nice ample car park. In-store Cafe for
Found what I needed. 3 people behind me at checkout did not have masks on and did not keep within a safe distance for me to feel comfortable. One was talking on his mobile while walking back and forward each time getting closer to me.
Great range of bedding, curtains, blinds and accessories plus a selection of furniture and kitchenware. Even has a decent " coffee shop " and customer toilets so us poor guys can take a break when the missus starts her third lap!
I love this shop. It has a wide range of home furniture and home furnishings. Only issue is that you always find more than you need which means more money spent. Hey, not there fault they sell good quality goods at decent prices.
Really pleasant shop to visit. The shelves were well stacked and the floors were tidy. Prices are good on some things. Everything you could possibly need for your home great selections of everything. Will definitely visit again
Just came for a few things. Shopping was very hot no air conditioning. At the till had a sales assistance serve me by the name of Tracy who when i ask for a bag just threw it down. I remarked thats not good customer service.
Store well stocked with some interiors and decor not seen elsewhere. Not always to easiest to find specifics (paints are scattered in different places) but great value and the staff are always helpful and considerate.
Now looks more like a warehouse collection point. No inspiring room layouts. Broken items on display and could only find one item I had looked at on line on display. (I had wanted to check colours, quality etc. ).
As always great range of household stuff. Plenty of space, well worth a visit. From a co-vvid point of view (relevant at no ) very prepared. Staff masks/screens/gels. As a former shielder I felt comfortable.
Plenty of stock, clean and tidy. Shane that there isn't a broader selection of what they show on line being in store rather than having the major of stock in all similar designs (I was looking for bedding)
Well planned safe entrance and exit routes easy shopping. Plenty of bargains to be picked up. The cafe was well laid out with partitions between tables and very vlean. Coffee and pannini's were very nice.
Great store, plenty to buy which isnt good as there is so many lovely items . Went to get blinds an the customer service was good, very polite an happy,. Easy parking, will go back again. …
Quality goods, displayed beautifully. We used the cafe which was excellent. 1 young lady the majority of the time behind the counter, however, she worked methodically and was in total control
Lovely store with everything for the home. Prices are also reasonable. Only downside was that I needed assistance with my purchase and no one was available. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.
Love the products and suits a range of budgets. Queues are the only down side but click and collect is a great way to shop and not have to browse the store looking for what you want
Just off the Brislington main road. A good choice of homeware and furnishing with plenty of colour coordinating and home style ideas . Free parking.. Go Outdoors is right next door
Nice selection of bedding, but very confusing to find what we wanted. Probably because previous shopper's had mixed the stock up. But we managed to get everything we went for.
Q was 3/4 down the store only 3 cashiers on not enough staff the shop was rammed had to get onenof the staff to get a sheet from the warehouse as was not on the shop floor
Poor selection of items I needed in fact I mentioned that I niw reluctantly had to go on line which is sad for businesses as people don't visit then next thing they close
Big store with lots of stuff. I came in for blankets (which all seem to be called 'throws' nowadays), of which there was an okay selection, and the quality seems decent.
Wide variety of home items.. Most of the items are Made in China same as IKEA and other home needs shops. I think Stuffs are little bit costly. With wide parking area.
Fantastic place to visit. Staff are very helpful, Cafe is small, need the lift if your disabled or in a wheelchair, also prams and pushchairs, baby chairs available
Shop lovely. Found everything I needed. Only trouble is I have no receipt as for some reason I didn't get a email with it. So now I can't return anything
Parts missing from product. No way to contact them on line for shop bought item so had to do a 25 Km round trip to exchange. I won't be going there again
A very nice shop, lots of space to walk around and view items, bought some lovely bargains, also some luxury ones, would definitely recommend a visit
Always reliable, with loads of staff. Lots of parking. Right opposite Go Outdoors. Now has a cafe on the premises. Lots of sale items and discounts.
Bought some curtains for bedroom's and a blind for kitchen. Good quality and price. Nice store. Has a variety of bedding, curtains and nice cafe.
Needed some replacement bedlinen, so the excellent selection enabled us to get just what we wanted without having to visit lots of other stores
Good range products. Usually good quality. Can be more expensive than competitors, but not always. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Customer service is superb. Things are displayed neatly. I would definitely recommend to have a look before ordering things online!
Wanted a couple sun lounger walked in found 2 we like good news they had been reduced by £9 each, RESULT. always good value though
We visited the cafe inside the store. I was very impressed with the covid prevention measures. Very good service and nice food.
Very helpful staff. Loads of products to chose from. They had everything I wanted except a rug that I'll have to order online
Nice store, good range of products but huge queues to pay - half the length of the store. I abandoned my purchases and left.
Great prices, but store was freezing cold which made us want to get in and get out rather than have a proper look around
Staff were very friendly and helpful to us on our first visit to the store. Great prices will definitely be returning
Great place for the home, bedroom, kitchen and living room etc. Good prices normal and in the sale. Recommend a trip.
Found lovely wallpaper which i wanted for my cosy room. More choices than wickes and the Range. Definitely go there.
very impressed - compared to JL Very helpful staff in rug department Give the little guy a pay rise - he was great
Massive store lots of stock on shelfs not easy to find things your looking for and a bit overpriced on some items
Bought a mattress from Dunelm Brislington today. Ben couldn’t be more helpful, his customer service was excellent
Went there with my wife to get new bedding and curtains what a brilliant place, could have stayed for hours
Love walking around here, always find what I'm looking for, although somethings can be a little dear
Wanted buy some new net curtains, needed to be cut yo size. Very helpful assistant. Got what wanted.
Excellent range of quality household products and welcoming customer services. Highly recommended.
Great store all on one level, free car park....disabled access good. Coffee shop inside too.
Very helpful and kind staff. Lots of choice and I look forward to a return visit very soon.
Good range of items, and a cafe, everything moderately priced. Helpful and friendly staff.
A vast warehouse of 'essential household items' that I was dragged round.....;-)
Love dunelm and they have a bin to recycle your old textiles. Brilliant …
Nice place to shop, good variety of stock. Cafe service rather slow, though.
We enjoyed our shopping, and spent lots, the staff we're very helpful to
Good and varied choices of homeward available indoor cafe and toilets.
Great customer service, huge variety, clean and well stocked
Nice shop, well laid out. Instore cafe. Plenty of parking.
Nice coffee shop inside to grab something to eat and drink
Nice clean store, easy to get around. Staff very friendly
