We stumbled upon Edy’s Bar because it was close to our hotel and we wanted to check it out, but after our first visit we came back every night for our trip. Edy welcomed us in and instantly became family. He made us feel extremely welcome and always had us laughing and having a good time. You must try “Edy’s Special HighBall” as well as his spicy pasta. He always made sure we had a drink in hand and that we were fed. I’ve never had such a great time/experience in a bar than I did at Edy’s. I will forever recommend this bar to anyone traveling to Japan/Shinjuku, and I look forward to coming back on my next visit.

I love this bar. It’s my kinda place. Edy is such a wonderful host, gives lots of tips for your stay in Tokyo, looks after you when you’re leaving at 4am and the suns on its way up! You can’t help but stick around chatting to all the other people in the bar. It’s just such a good vibe. Usually opens around 8, closes whenever everyone leaves (usually in the morning!) we’ll be back on our next trip for sure!!! EDY’S BAR has the most welcoming ambience ever. Edy is so kind and funny and makes the best spicy pasta. From the first time I visited, I went back every night of my trip. If you’re in Tokyo, Edy is a must visit. He is definitely the most accommodating and nicest bartender you will ever come across. He will make you feel beyond at home and he is just all around just a very genuine and nice person. He made great recommendations to visit in Tokyo, ¥1000 per drink and is a 10/10 must recommendation for anyone visiting Tokyo. Look forward to going back!!

I ended up at Edy's Bar the first night I was in Shinjuku. From the moment I walked in Edy was very friendly and welcoming. I sat at the bar and had a great conversation with Edy and everyone. Edy is a great guy, if you don’t visit you are missing out 100%. He gives great Japan travel advice, is super friendly, and runs a great business. Stumbling through Shinjuku and walked into this dive bar. First off felt like I was a local regular. Bartender instantly helped us…felt absolutely like this was the place to be. Ask for the most famous special High-Ball. Definitely will be a place to revisit anytime I’m back in Tokyo.
