I've shopped at Earthwise Architectural Salvage for years. It feels more like visiting old friends than walking the aisles of a big box store. I feel like I'm participating in a more sustainable cycle when I buy original materials to renovate my 1920s Craftsman home. I've learned so many important things from Lacey & her team. Their knowledge about the historical architecture in Seattle is unlimited. I can usually find the standard vintage building materials I need at Earthwise such as doors/door hardware, wood trim, reclaimed timber & sink parts. They're also a treasure trove of one of a kind pieces like crystal chandliers, stained glass windows, Batchelder tile & antique furniture. I recommend stopping in at one of the Earthwise locations whether you're restoring an old home or looking for artistic features for a new build. You won't be disappointed. P.S. Bindi & all the lovable furry friends are pretty fun, too!

This place has top quality salvage items! I was on my way to another salvage store to pick up a door on hold when I decided to quickly drop in to EW to see what they had in store. The assistant asked me several times if I needed help, but kept brushing her off, thinking I was just window shopping, however, I soon realized their selection of doors were incredible and overwhelming. On her last try to help me, I said OK. She guided me over to the most perfect vintage door, and there were sidelights to match, exactly the dimensions I needed.... sidelights... the most difficult items to find when shopping for a door that requires matching sidelights!!! Needless to say, after this awesome find, I never made it to the other store. This is now my go-to store for all my old house needs: great customer service, quality items, and reasonable prices. You can't go wrong checking this place out!

Love this place! We drove from Camano Island looking for a unique door for our unique house. This place is very well organized and merchandised in a way that makes it easy to shop and find the things you're looking for. I'm not good at digging through things to find treasures, I have no patience. No need to do that here! Everyone was very helpful when we were asking about doors we had seen on their website (love that they have a website with pictures of the product) and would show us right where they were. We found a beautiful door with stained glass. We will definitely be back! Best salvage store we've been to and we've visited quite a few.

I am extremely impressed with Earthwise! Not only are they keeping millions of pounds of waste out of landfills, they're also offering interesting pieces at incredible prices! When I stopped in for my first visit, Kara and Johnathan showed me around and knew the inventory like the back of their hands. They found the perfect item for me, and even offered to put it on hold while I ran home to triple check my measurements. This is a place filled with people who are passionate about what they do- and it shows. A little bit of Goodwill meets Home Depot, I've found my new hobby hot spot!

I LOVE this store. Earthwise is a treasure trove of vintage marvels. I visited searching for original fir doors for our basement remodel. Nate and his staff went above and beyond. They were unfailingly friendly, highly knowledgeable and extremely patient. I left with two beautiful doors that were a fraction of the price a leading door supplier quoted me. Better yet, they were a perfect match and fantastic quality. Excited to get these doors home and into our 1920s craftsman. We'll definitely be back. Thanks Nate!

If you are restoring or renovating a pre-WWII home this the place to come for hinges, doorknobs, faceplates, even wood flooring and other period hardware that you are looking to replace or repair. If worn, but period will work for your project; and your DIY skills are pretty good this is going to be your new happy place. But as with all salvage/collectible/auction sites - buy it when you see it, as it probably won't be there later if you decide you want it...

I had great service! Every other turn someone was asking if I needed any help. Plus, I found this faucet for $35 it was Kohler but no one could locate its name. After I got home with my treasure I found it online, it's a $800 Disney exclusive faucet. Plus I found a light for the bathroom that was exactly what I had recently picked out at Lamps plus for $100 less. Oh! The gorgeous reproduction door knobs were only $45 ea and they are brand new!!

This has to be my favorite store in all of Seattle. I browse their online inventory pretty much every week. Visiting is such a treat - so many great and quirky finds. We also purchased a beautiful double French door, in jamb, with transom, in great condition; for a fraction of the cost of a new one and a more sustainable choice than ordering new. A must-visit for anyone undertaking a remodel or home build project, large or small.

  • John Carrico

Love this place. I was about to buy a $200 blank door that I would have to cut and process (another 2 hrs of time) when I remembered to check out these guys. Yes I had to look through thier stock but honestly spending 30 minutes in thier beats 2 hrs in the garage. I found a cooler looking door that was perfect dimensions and just needed a bit of sanding and a coat of paint for $25. Next time I'll be coming here first

  • Egirl Kalamanani

Great concept and I really like the name. Been here several times to find treasures to repurpose. I've purchased parts of a chandelier and turned them into garden art. Everything sold here is useful for original purpose, too. They do a really good job organizing even though it's a bit tight getting around. Not a good place for bringing kiddos that can't keep their hands out of things and like to run around.

Earth wise has a very nicely curated collection of salvaged items. We love coming here and browsing to get ideas of things to upcycle. Nice selection of doors and stained glass/leaded glass windows, and lots of light fixtures. Prices are a bit on the high side compared to other salvage places in the area, but they are sometimes willing to work with you. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

  • John Lovin

Great space for salvage items. Whether you need an everyday house building supply or an antique window, this place has an amazing selection. They have also saved some truly unique Seattle architectural items from businesses and homes in the area. One of a kind is an understatement. I’ve bought many items to use in small remodels and as decor pieces. Check this out before buying new.

  • Tim T

My new "Go-To" place for project materials and accessories. This place has everything you can think of and everything you've never thought of. I second others who've said that you can spend hours here. Spending some time here will help you finish your current project and will undoubtedly spawn some new ones. FUN

  • Mm W

Well it has salvage and all the recycle stuff. But the building materials area....uninterested rude woman at the counter and same snotty "I could care less if you need help, it's not gonna be me" guy with a ring in his nose. It's the same every time in there. Must be from breathing in all that toxic dust.

  • Ken Tobias

Amazing place for that special find! Especially if conservation and recycling turn you on, Earthwise has an incredible selection of unique stock with an incredible variety. We stop by regularly to keep up on the revolving inventory. The staff are extremely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful too.

  • Lauri Serafin

The best architectural salvage in Seattle. I found a PAIR of vintage Craftsman Outdoor sconces and a used mailbox for a very reasonable price. Going back for vintage molding soon! Full of antique, vintage and contemporary pieces for recycling! Always fun to take a look and see what is in!

  • justin rodig

This place is probably the coolest place I've been too and a great place for cheap windows for your house plus they have everything old and pulled off houses that were gonna be destroyed alot of it is from queen Ann so the custom doors and lead Windows and what not have some history.

  • Teresa Elkinton

We recently purchased two sets of glass pane doors to use as entry ways for an outdoor weeding. The staff was very helpful, and more than that, very engaged in our project. From now on EARTHWISE will be the first place we stop when we have projects in mind. Thanks, Doug and Teresa.

  • Desy little Dancers

Every visit to Seattle, we include a stop at this incredible store. We wished we lived closer! The selection is vast and it is different every time. When you need drawer pulls, knobs or hinges you can find a wonderful array. The selection of doors is amazing! Love it here!

  • Eric Allred

Wow! Every time I drop in, there are always plenty of options for my projects. Door and Windows as well as reclaimed patina tin roofing for my backyard shed project. One stop and done. Great / reasonable pricing. Hardware, Doors, Windows, Cabinets, odds and ends!

  • Simon Walter-Hansen

Earthwise is an absolute gem! I found old growth fir flooring to patch some holes that exactly matched the flooring from a 1915 farm house I'm remodeling. I also picked up a clean and modern kitchen range for $45! One of my favorite stops in Seattle.

  • charlie sliwoski

If you are looking for old architectural pieces to complete an old house this is a great place to find odd pieces. They also have an eclectic collection of other things like tile, sinks, ladders, doors and more. The selection is constantly changing.

  • Kevin Roberts

Very fine helpful folks, great source for all kinds of antique style and vintage home decor, lighting, plumbing, etc. Just tons of cool stuff at decent prices. You really have to come see, words can't describe all the crazy stuff in this place.

  • Adam McDonald

This is a great place to go and let inspiration hit you. There are so many fun and interesting finds. We often go looking for one thing and leave with lots of others. Staff is knowledgeable about the history of the items, which is cool as well.

  • kit rutter

This place has so many awesome finds! The staff are so friendly and willing to take the time to brainstorm project ideas with you. Their prices are much more reasonable than a lot of other salvage/antique places in the area. Check them out!

  • Austin Bergeron

Amazing variety of odds and ends. A museum where (almost) everything is for sale. Ranging from practical bits and bobs to outlandish oddities, I could spend all day here and then some. I’ve never left without something new to love.

  • Amanda Speck

Earth wise has been a wonderful help to us as we have worked to add period details back to our 1915 home. They had THE perfect claw foot tub for our original bathroom. It has been so great to bath our children and take long soaks.

  • Sam Shults

I went in for hardwood since my local (Tacoma) branch didn't have enough of what I needed. There was a small parking lot that seemed potentially shared with the other businesses. Had to take a lot of turns to get to the store.

  • Liana Bugslag

Earthwise has a great selection of vintage items from around Seattle. This is our favorite shop for finding unique pieces to add to our 1917 craftsman. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something special for your home!

  • Peter Koval

Friendly staff. Their inventory is pretty cool. There is a fair amount of junk. Not everything old and rusted is worth buying as antique. Some other things are a bit over-priced, others not... so you have to scavenge.

  • Jwa A

what a great find. I really enjoy working with Nate & staff. I picked up inside window frames from the Smith Tower ,& lights for my Bagel Shop on Whidbey Is. I look forward to working with them for many years to come

  • Amy Queen

I have I have been salvaging for 21 years, and by far Earthwise is my favorite place. they have a complete and thorough inventory (slightly eclectic), and their prices are reasonable; AND they’re warm and fuzzy.

  • Mel Allen

I love Earthwise, it's always fun to pick up great project material here. Yard art, check, reclaimed wood bathroom door, got it, need a nearly hundred year old decorative doorknob, they have it. Fun store.

  • The Kirsty Files

Earthwise is a great place to go digging for the hard to find items. Anytime we are updating our hardware in our 1920’s home, we always come down here to find a match. Well organized. Great help.

  • MPC

Lots of cools stuff - dont trust website inventory. Drove the 40 miles and found out the website inventory was inaccurate. It still lists it as in stock 2 weeks later. Tons or cools stuff.

  • Asia Arbolante

I love this place. I have an old home and often find things that would perfectly fit here. It’s also just interesting to see what they have around. I’d suggest following their Instagram.
