When I flew into LA on the way to Hawaii I was looking for a gym I could drop into that would have easy access to barbells and other strength & conditioning equipment. Photos of this space don’t show a lot so I figure I’ll note that they have a wide variety of machines, and a handful of barbells and associated racks. They also have a surprising amount of machines like stair masters and two free running treadmills (as well as the standard cardio machines). I did not see nor look for rowers or ski ergs, though if my training session needed them I’d focus on the CrossFit or similar facilities. For those interested, they have a handful of kettlebells with the single heaviest being an ~80. Of the various gyms close to where I was staying south of Hollywood, Easton looked to be the easiest to access, probably because it’s a standard gym rather than a more specialized fitness facility (like CrossFit, HIIT, or the variety of personal training spaces nearby). They are on the 2nd floor under the metal sign. A drop-in day pass cost $25. They currently seem to prioritize mask-wearing which is nice. Note that if you plan to change or shower or carry around more than just a small bag you’ll probably want to carry a lock too.

Family owned and operated for over twenty years, a neighborhood staple for the community, Easton has the best gym. Not the biggest; it doesn't get that crowded. Nothing is pretentious about it; they're grounded in the idea of a great workout and keeping it clean and helpful. Open super early and closing later than most of the other commercial spots, Easton has been a great fit for my schedule for over a decade. Helpful staff with getting you answers and providing the care of an intimate experience; from the training team to the hospitality and maintenance staff, Easton has your best intentions first. Read the signs for street parking, the lot's always been a squeeze. Plus you might score some shady spots on the nearby streets. Alternative side parking changes from each street, So, Read, the, Signs. Stop by Harvey's Cafe on the street level for a post-routine smoothie or coffee drink...good stuff there!

Awesome gym I found in that area, best combo of being both never too full and not overpriced and always has free parking. Has awesome roof where you can exercise in the sun, hit the punching bag, or do yoga with a class. Downstairs always has windows open all year so the entire gym is well ventilated and breezy. Equipment is older and it feels like you’re stepping into a historical gym. There are pictures of famous actors that worked out there. On another floor below there is a locker room and sauna where there is free hair gel, lotion, etc. Lastly, most of the people who go there are really fit so it’s quite motivational and gets you to work harder.

Had a bad experience with management. This guy was rude and disrespectful and threatened to throw me out because I was standing next to the window with my mask down trying to catch my breath. I told him I have a condition (underdeveloped sternum) and it makes it hard to breathe through my nose. He said everyone here has a condition and they wear their masks properly. I felt attacked and singled out by this guy. I’ve never felt like that at a gym in my life.

Good gym, getting real sick of putting people's weights back for them though. I want to go with a lack of gym etiquette which is pretty pervasive here but it feels more like obliviousness than malice. Seriously though, every single machine or bench I have to remove weights first, it's pretty ridiculous. On another note, the leg curl machine freaks me out, I always feel like I'm about to launch head first out the window.

Quite literally the best kept secret in LA. Reasonably priced, somehow never too busy, ample parking, wonderful staff, all of the equipment you really need, and rooftop space with a gorgeous view. Since day one I've felt comfortable and accepted, without any feelings of judgment or pretentiousness that I've noticed at most other gyms in LA. Easton is a really special place!

I think this is a really unique gym with a low-key vibe. They have a perfect range of well-maintained equipment, and there seems to be a minimal wait for equipment even at peak times. The locker room is clean and has full amenities, but it could be a little larger. It also has an amazing rooftop space for some space to do some bodyweight fitness.

Absolutely love this gym. It has everything I’m looking for. The trainers are all really great and I love the staff. It has a neighborhood vibe to it. The owner of the gym cares about his members and their business. The gyms around my area can feel pretentious to me, but not Easton. At Easton you’re more than just a number. Easton is family!

I live in the uk and have never been to this gym. I found out about it after I had visited the film location website for the film 'To live and die in LA'. Parts of that film were filmed in and around this gym. Great film and my favourite ! It gets a five star rating for that reason alone.

Great gym and easily our favorite spot in LA. Local feel, great staff, good equipment, and overall a gem! Worth the price, never too crowded, and people are actually there to workout. I enjoy the amenities such as towel service, lockers, and a sauna downstairs. Can’t go wrong with Easton.

  • Pedram Salman

Nice gym with no extra frills. They got what you need and they got enough of it that you can usually get in and do your thing without overcrowding. Couldn't beat the location for me and the fact they offered shorter term options was great for me while I was in town for business.

Be VERY careful with your personal information! I come to the LA area 2-3 times a year, and buy myself a weeklong membership for $89. Was FRAUDULENTLY charged $999 this morning, called, no one answered was forced to disable my credit card. I will pay cash from now on!!

  • Alice Biemosi

Nice independent gym with old machine in a brick building setting. Very characteristic. Women changing rooms are always clean and there is also a little sauna. Price really good for LA and the area. They have a membership for 70 $ per month. Sunday is always empty

  • Hailey S-Y Cheong

Was in LA for vacation for 2 weeks, and our hotel had a partnership discount with Easton just around the block. Great facilities with amazing staff - felt very welcoming and had a full range of equipment, clean showers and towels for use. Will be back!

I absolutely love this gym. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff are so friendly and willing to help. I absolutely love working out here because it almost feels like home with how it looks and feels. Highly Recommend.

  • Nate Kestner

Plenty of weights (and in their correct spots). They keep the place clean. Lots of fresh air and sunlight due to all the windows surrounding the gym. Rooftop available. Not absurdly overcrowded like many LA gyms.

  • A P

Great local gym, love that it has actual windows to keep fresh air circulating. Did witness a sketchy PT that was negging his client (presumably to keep him coming back for more sessions). Lame.

  • Tadzio Dlugolecki

excellent gym with great employees. well worth the $89 i paid for a week pass. love the sauna. & a special shout out to grant for helping me find my iphone when i left it there.

  • Nancy Bush

This local, no fuss gym has everything you need for a solid workout. There are many windows which provides great light and cross ventilation. Everyone is chill and friendly.

  • Andrew Dippe

Everytime I walk in everyone is super polite and goes above and beyond to help out! I want to give a shoutout to Joe! Highly recommend this gym. I feel right at home.

  • Joe Shaffer

Great little gym where you can get a serious workout in; hit back there today, plenty of machines and free weights .. not a big club feel, decent for bodybuilders

  • C

Pros: Great staff, high class clientele, has everything you need, free parking, good location. Cons: Really old equipment, no AC, somewhat pricey, few amenities.

  • Joey Paysinger

Expensive, but worth it if you’re looking for a high-quality gym with extremely friendly staff and good equipment. The best gym in the Beverly Grove area by far.

  • Min Sang You

Simple gym with a wide variety of equipment including a sauna and shower facilities. Whilst the size may not be the largest, this gym covers most of your needs!

  • D K

Great place! The guys who run it know the business and are on their game. Down to earth and exclusive at the same time. One of the only survivors of its kind.

  • Brice O'Connell

Small but mighty! Good equipment with an old school vibe. Small rooftop area. Sauna. Friendly staff. Slight drawback is no a/c. Worth the price!

  • Robert Fogarty

I have worked out here on and off for 20 years. Recently rejoined. I like the vibe and equipment. It's a real gym. And fairly priced.

  • Jenn

i don’t know what little girl is answering phones this morning, but she shouldn’t be working the front desk. rude and dismissive.

  • H K

Wow, way over priced. Initiation fees and processing fees are just a way for them to get more money out of you. Its bs.
