I spent several weeks at this place last December to March, paying high rates. When I asked if I could move out 2 weeks early, after giving notice, Francis agreed. It was high season and we knew he would re-let my room, which he did immediately, at an even higher rate, but then refused to refund me my R.17,250!! It was all the money I had left here in South Africa before returning to England. He told me he was entitled to keep my money.. When he received a lawyer's letter, he responded with the most horrible character assassination of me, like accusing me of abusing him and his staff. He knows how much I Iiked his staff and gave them a big tip at Christmas. He is a very odd character and made my life very difficult and unhappy. Be wary of him. He is NOT your normal Canadian. I now await a further litany of lies from him in response.

Thank you for your message, Dave and Ally. I wish you well with your new ownership. I am sure you will both have discovered what a difficult, greedy and unpleasant man Francis Moran is. His inability to take the smallest criticsm showed what an insecure person he is and his theft of a lot of my money showed how dishonest he is. Also, I longed to chop off that creepy rat's tail he had hanging down his back! Cara Vindictive owner who is unable to accept the smallest criticism. He was clearly furious when I dared to tell him there was an infestation of ants in the kitchen cupboard. Be warned!

We had the best time at Easy Five. We had he Elephant Room and oh what a lovely room. Spacious, clean, elegant and such a warm atmosphere. We loved the bathroom and the bed. The venue as a whole was amazing, The pool area was great from the pool cleanliness to the amazing pool side furniture. The beautiful garden that is kept in such good condition. The hospitality and friendliness of the workers as well as the owners Francis and Linda. They made us feel so at home with their warm personalities and the way they treated us. Even the dog Red was so friendly and cute and not to mention CLEAN. The breakfast was delicious (complements to Cheff Francis) and beautifully served by none other than Cheff Francis and Linda. Easy Five is truly a bit of heaven here on earth for a busy couple like ourselves who hardly have peace and quiet in our lives. We loved it all and will most definately be back as often as we can. Wow, this place has changed so much since my stay in June. The brand new owners, Ally & Dave, are possibly the most efficient, accomodating, friendly & helpful hosts I have ever dealt with. I was pleasantly surprised with the makeover and improvements they have made to the whole property and all of rooms. I can't believe they managed to change so much in just a couple of months. I stayed in Buffalo cottage. It is so much brighter, lighter & more comfortable now. The kitchen even has an air fryer!!! I wish all self-catering places included them. But my favourite thing by far about this place is hearing a spotted eagle owl hooting quietly in the garden every night.

Cannot recommend Easy Five Guesthouse enough. Fabulous quiet location not far from Cape Town or the winelands. Felt extremely safe, did not feel the needed to lock our door when out for the day. Francis puts an excellent breakfast together with our table being under a brolly next to the pool. I highly recommend Easy Five Guesthouse together with the excellent host Francis. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed in the Leopard room for a midweek break in September and we were super comfortable, the staff very friendly and the new management are so enthusiastic about the changes they plan at Easy Five.
