To start with a positive... Front staff are lovely and accommodating. It is a newer clinic, clean and well put together. Didn't have to wait long to be seen. My actual experience with Dr. Bhanwath himself, however, was not good. I met with Dr. Bhanwath upon the recommendation of a friend. I told him I had moved from another city and needed a family doctor, a checkup and to resume care to get some concerns under control. We talked for a bit, told him my family history and general background, he stated he would be happy to have me join the clinic as a patient of his. The moment I started to elaborate on some issues I have been struggling with for years (with supporting documents from previous doctors, blood work, etc.) and wanting a referral to a mental health professional it went downhill very fast... He spent the rest of the time talking over me and telling me that all my problems would be solved with meditation, physical activity and a multivitamin. When I tried to discuss this and elaborate on my physical activity routines, my past medical history/treatments and so on... He didn't want to hear any of it and just condescendingly reiterated the above (he actually insinuated at one point the fact that I don't have kids was a contributing factor to both my physical and mental health and berated me for previously having full labs done at a private pay clinic). Eventually when he couldn't refute the points I was making he told me to come back in a week for a full exam and "maybe" he'd prescribe me something but I didn't need a referral. Needless to say, I did not go back - I went elsewhere and was treated much better. I am a health care worker myself... And I've never seen or experienced anything like this. If it's not a matter requiring being seen urgently I would recommend going elsewhere.

I would never recommend anyone go to Dr. Gokul Bhanwath. I went there because I moved and needed a new doctor. I liked him at first because the appointments were always shorter than 5 minutes and I have anxiety going to the doctor, but need to because I am on medication. He agreed to help me lower my dosage as I was taking a large amount prescribed by my previous doctor (225mg of Effexor). He told me to go from 225mg to 75mg immediately, but luckily my friend looked it up and said it should be a gradual change (which I did) but the doctor should have told me that. It got even more frustrating when I asked him to refer me to a psychiatrist, but he said no because it is “too difficult and will take too long”. I kept going to him though, and he prescribed my 20mg of vyvanse for my adhd which I was already taking medication for but it wasn’t working. I told him I was still feeling the symptoms of my adhd so he prescribed me an additional 10mg of vyvanse to take in the afternoon (as I work evenings). When I went to get a refill of the medication that HE prescribed me, he got upset at me saying I shouldn’t be on any medication. He started ranting that he has worked all over the place and sees people like me who “self diagnose” (even though my previous doctor prescribed it and he refused to refer me to a psychiatrist) and started getting mad at me for asking for a refill (even though it had been 30 days since I had last filled). I ended up walking out because he wouldn’t stop ranting. If he had a problem with me taking the medication I wish he wouldn’t have prescribed it in the first place and told me this instead. I don’t understand how he could get upset at me even though he was the one to suggest it to me. I left the office crying.

I had the most dreadful experience at this clinic, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of it. Dr. Gokul is, without a doubt, the rudest person I've ever had the misfortune of encountering in the medical field. It's baffling how he even obtained a license to practice medicine, as he should never be near patients. First and foremost, my appointment was scheduled for a specific time, and I arrived promptly. However, Dr. Gokul was a staggering 15 minutes late without any explanation or apology. During the appointment, he displayed a complete lack of competence. It was evident that he had no idea what he was talking about, and his supposed medical expertise left me questioning his qualifications. He didn't ask pertinent questions regarding my issue and seemed more interested in rushing through the appointment than actually helping me. To make matters worse, Dr. Gokul's behavior was beyond unprofessional. He raised his voice at me and carried on our conversation while leaving the door wide open, allowing anyone within earshot to eavesdrop on my private medical matters. This blatant disregard for privacy was not only disrespectful but also a violation of patient confidentiality. In summary, my experience at this clinic was a complete nightmare, thanks to Dr. Gokul's incompetence, rudeness, and lack of professionalism. I strongly advise anyone in need of medical care to seek it elsewhere.

It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but potential patients should know. I highly recommend you do not visit this doctor. I was a walk in, he didn't come near me to check the issue I was there for, didn't take a look at me, didn't ask any questions to try to understand what was going on with me. He is rude, and does not listen to you when you speak, or when are trying to explain what is going on. He will spend 5 minutes maximum and get you out as quick as possible, and will talk down to you when you try to ask questions. I had to see a second doctor somewhere else a few days later who actually ended up helping me with my issue.

Nice clinic. The doctor takes time to listen and will solve whatever problem you are having immediately. I had an issue which required some injections. I have been to other doctors in the past, and they would ask me to get injections from a dermatologist. I would then be put on a waitlist for 2 months for 1 injection. This doctor just gave me the injection right there and then and resolved my issue quickly. The pharmacy is at the same place, so everything is conveniently located.

went to get a requisition post hospital discharge because that’s what they told me to do. he said it would be impossible and no one would do it because once the antigen presented it would keep presenting in all future testing . later found out that was not true in emergency . cut me off several times to tell me there was no treatment for an illness i was not talking about. wait time was like 10 minutes tho so that was nice

My girlfriend had the worst experience shes ever had with a doctor at this clinic. The doctor would not let her speak and told her that her problem was not real. Everything that she said was completely invalidated and at one point while trying to explain her symptoms to him he shushed her. After a 5 minute consultation he told her that she should just meditate and that if her issue were real she would’ve been to emerge by now

Doesn’t really listen. Walked out of his clinic made me purchase the prescription prescribed. Only to walk out and go to a different clinic that actually spent time listening to me. Prescribed me the right pills and the problem went away. Asked the second doctor about this cream he told me I have no Idea why he would prescribe it has nothing to with your case. Choose your doctor wisely guys. The reception girl is super nice.

0 starts. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC. Dr. Gokul should not be allowed to practice medicine. He is rude, condescending, ignorant, and his behaviour is disgusting. He doesn't listen, will talk over you and then tell you that you don't understand. He doesn't care about patients or helping them and flat out told me I was "wasting his time". Go literally anywhere else so this doctor cannot "treat" anyone else ever again.

Went because I needed to be cleared for work as I had strep throat and my daughter had crusty eyes. The doctor did not check my daughter's eyes nor did he check my throat. He just wrote two doctors notes saying we were both cleared. He was very blunt, didn't carry on any conversation and didn't care to answer any of my questions before he opened the door and said "okay bye bye". So unpleasant and unprofessional.

Not worth the dirty white coat he wears. Went in about an ear ache and was told by the man, I refuse to use the term Doctor, that I had TMJ, to take advil, massage my jawhinge, and google the condition so I'll know what it is. He asked zero questions except why I was there. Did not ask about my recent health, nor any recent illness.I now know what the term QUACK means.

The front staff are super friendly. Came in as a walk in patient and got in right away. The doctor on the other hand was terrible. Rude, dismissive and didn’t solve my issue. I came in with a clogged ear and walked out with a clogged ear even though he said he fixed it. He didn’t. I would not recommend this clinic at all. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Dr Gokul is not helpful at all and will not listen to you. I have been here 3 times for rashes and he tells me that it's allergies. I even did an allergy test (I had to go to another doctor for referral because Dr Gokul would not refer me). There were no allergies found. He is rude and takes no interest in helping you. Stay away from this doctor.

Almost no wait when I showed up as a walk-in at a quarter to noon on a Tuesday. Saw the doctor within minutes, and picked up the prescription he gave me at the pharmacy (also in the clinic) just a few minutes after that. Intake, examination, treatment and prescription filled with plenty of time for lunch afterwards. Friendly staff as well!

Absolutely wonderful clinic!! I’m from the states and I needed a prescription for medication I ran out of due to an extended stay I wasn’t expecting. Everybody was very friendly and I was seen by the doctor immediately, and due to the pharmacy being right there I had my prescription filled on the spot and was out in under 15 minutes.

Went to see the doctor for a walk-in and he spent more time talking about his own life rather than fix my issue. He often ignored my concerns and hurried me out of his clinic as fast as he could once the 10 minutes was up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC! I would rather go out of downtown/elsewhere next time.

This doctor is dismissive, didn’t even take the time to listen to what I was saying and was argumentative with me. Not to mention he actually asked me if I’d wait while he saw other patients when I had made an appointment on my lunch break. Absolutely would not recommend!!

Walk in only honestly. Do not make this doctor your main doctor, they do not even pick up the phone, and they never get back to you with test results either. He only wants quick easy solutions, if you have an actual problem go see and actual doctor not this guy

One of the worst doctors in Calgary. He's rude, talks down to people and will spend 5 mins with you. His front desk is also very unfriendly and not helpful at all. He shojld not be practicing at all. I would never recommend anyone to go to this clinic.

Huge difference in the attitude of the doctor between when I went and my partner went. I would avoid this clinic, especially if you are a Woman, I can just prescribe meditation now and save you the time. Women don't seem to matter to him.

I do recommend this clinic! Dr. B and his staff are very respectful and I’m usually in and out of the clinic within the half hour. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I have always left with my questions answered.

Not sure what that other reviewer is ranting about. But this clinic is very accommodating. Got me in always that day or the next. And always listened to me and my problems. Then aimed to fix and help.

Extremely limited care, Dr. Doesn't prescribe something walk in doctors are legally supposed to prescribe. I'm giving 2 stars because the front desk staff are excellent and the doctor is efficient.

Staff and doctor are kind and accommodating. You can see the doctor has lots of experience and will recommend lifestyle changes where necessary instead of giving more meds.

Went for a precription refill. The doctor told me the medication I am on should be illegal and told me to leave. This man should not be a practicing doctor in Canada.

Wow! They got me in and out as a walk in (no appointment ) without feeling rushed! Even faxed my prescription so it was ready for pickup at my pharmacy by lunch hour!

Friendly front desk. Dr.B is very caring, professional and experienced in taking care of me and my health.
