Please be aware of the dentist at this practice. Was nice the first time around but not so friendly the second time. With my first visit, I was prompted to give a review and I really did not had anything bad to comment on. Knowing that they planned on asking for feedback could have very well been why his delivery was much nicer. However, this second time, it was quite clear that there was a lack of empathy and compassion, particularly when I explained how the device placed in my mouth to take the x-ray was very painful and I was struggling to bite down on it which he kept pressing me to do without atleast checking its placement. I had to stop him twice and he showed no compassion that it was genuinely painful for me. The area where it dug in to the floor of my mouth is still sore and tender and it's been hours since. Additionally, prior to that, when I sat down in the patient's chair, I explained to him that I have a sensitive throat and will be prone to gagging if I feel anything trickling down my throat. I was basically trying to explain that anything trickling down there will need suctioning (I thought I would be having a procedure done that day since I already had a treatment plan). His response was, "Well the only thing you will be choking on is your own spit cause its only a review today". He did not said this jokingly, but very plain and direct. I kid you not! I wished at that point I had walked out. There is a way to explain things to your patients, and that simply wasn't it. Me, having a background in nursing would be mortified if I overheard a colleague responding to a service-user like that. I also found it very interesting that when I asked him how much would a tooth implant cost, he told me around £5000. Also, the consultation fee increased from £65 to £100 in a matter of 7 months and I was not informed of this new price when I booked my appointment. However, I did had my old receipt to show the receptionist of what l paid last as I asked upfront why am I paying £100. It is a steep increase. Dr. Suraj Dhanda also claims my teeth have become significantly worse in those 7 months from when he last saw me, even the one he filled before (wow). And what were currently just needing to be filled, now needed to have a possible root canal instead. Mind you, I don't smoke, probably drink pop once every few months and hardly eat sweets. My luck must be really bad. Sorry, but I DO NOT trust this dentist and he needs to demonstrate more compassion and empathy, and also learn how to talk to his patients. It's very disheartening. I wouldn't recommend going to him and wish I can recant my former review which was done on a different platform. On a positive note, the receptionists are very welcoming and polite. And I think they were the ones who made my bad experience that day a bit lighter. They are lovely. The building in itself was very clean, tidy and smelt really good. Unfortunately, I would not be coming back to the dentist here, but I might consider other services in the future.

Really enjoyed our experience here. We visited a few clinics to consider our options for cosmetic and functional dental work. Edgbaston Smile was by far the best. We are still at the early stages but feel completely comfortable with them. I booked a consultation on line, and someone followed up with me straight away. When we arrived everyone was really friendly and genuine. The consultation with Shobhan felt like she was taking time to understand our needs both now and future, and recommend what really would work. She was clear about the reasons, the plans and the costs. Afterwards we were encourage to stay, have more coffee and think things through and leave any question with the reception staff. The communication since has been quick, efficient and friendly. I coach people in restorative practice which is about genuine connection and this whole team is killing it! Looking forward to working with them now and for our future fabulous smiles

I have always suffered with a lack of confidence with my smile I met Dr Shobna Chauhan who was the most pleasurable and professional experience I have ever received within healthcare. She has a calm and warming nature which instantly made me feel comfortable in what is usually a difficult time for myself. Selected this practice based on other customer reviews and after my first consolation, I chose to proceed with the treatment based on the recommendations from the dentist. She made me feel welcomed, very at ease and fully understood my wants and needs. I am extremely pleased with the results and the overall experience. I was fully informed of the procedure from start to finish, everything was clearly explained and I felt very confident in the dentists expertise in this area. Recently received teeth whitening treatment here. I’ve always been self-conscious about my teeth and on my first appointment the Dr commented “oh yes they are very yellow” understandably I was there to fix that but didn’t need it highlighted like that. Due to it only being on a Tuesday/sicknesses I didn’t get my teeth whitening kit for nearly 8 weeks which is a long time after paying £480. When I went to get the kit they told me they could’ve just posted it to me. When I went for my third appointment they wanted to do some more cosmetic work and I felt very pressured by them to book it. So booked the appointment but ended up not going as I didn’t want to spend money or fix the teeth further as I was happy with my own result. I just felt like a project.

I can’t recommend Edgbaston Smile enough, Shobhna and her team are just incredible, she immediately got to work on improving my smile, I had a full clean and polish and could immediately see the quality of the work she had done, my teeth felt better straight away and looked so much brighter and also eliminated pain I had when brushing, I started on a course of whitening too and my teeth are now looking absolutely phenomenal! I couldn’t be happier with the work I’ve had done and can’t thank Dr Chauhan enough!

dentist Dr Shobhna Chauhan was excellent , professional in her approach and very measured and calm exactly what is needed when visiting the dentist. Her assistant was polite and excellent at not only managing appointments during difficult pandemic times , but assisting during my treatment. Only feedback would be to reassure patients and additional safeguards for themselves is wearing FfP3 masks for that additional protection to themselves and others.

I had treatment at the Edgbaston Smile Clinic to fix two front teeth that were damaged due to grinding. The veneers I had fitted are brilliant - they look so natural. I'm really pleased with the result and the quality of care and attention provided. I also followed Shobhna's advice that 'building up' some worn down molars would avoid further damage from night time grinding. This preventative treatment has worked really well - I'm delighted.

So far, so good! Started my Invisalign journey about 9 months ago with Kerry and Greg and I can’t believe the difference already! Just had my composite bonding with Shobna and honestly I can’t put into words how happy I am with everything so far. Had a fantastic experience at Edgbaston Smile Clinic. I was delighted with the results of my teeth whitening and found that the process was very easy and quick. I saw results within just a few days. The staff were super friendly and the service was on time. I was handled by Dr Shobhna. She was really nice and explained my condition in details.
