I have set up this dental office as a primary because few years ago i had my root canal done in austin with the same company and i had a great experience! Few months ago i broke my dentures that i have been wearing for more than 8yrs, it was too old so i needed replacement. I made an appt here at this office, i paid $2200 for 3 dentures copay and was also with insurance. For me its a but pricey and i waa expecting for a great result for that amount. Not even two weeks and my dentures broke. Its too thin. My old denture lasted a long time and it was not even that expensive. I came in again and made appt to maybe have it fixed. They told me they cant fix it and have to get it redone so it needs to be ordered again. I paid $150 for replacement. And the dentist “fixed” the old one which we all know is impossible. So i came home with that “fixed” tooth. Tried to eat soup and it broke.. My bday is coming up and im expecting it to be done but its been almost 3 weeks and im just so sad and frustrated i cant go out without it. With that amount of money i am expecting a little more consideration and a better product. I called 3 times and of course its the lab’s fault. Never again. I could get all my teeth done if i just used the money i paid them for a plane ticket to get it done in asia. Just sayin.

I have to say dentistry can be EXPENSIVE. So I have to tell you‍♀️. I went in with this whole idea of what I WANTED in my head, and so in my “haughty” voice I asked for implants of which I need three. Now I don’t know WHAT twilight zone I was stuck in, but when those prices came back ($10,000.00) there went my haughtiness, for it quickly turned in to HOT flashes. I walked OUT and had to laugh in the car cause I literally told the young lady “girl bye” . Then I did my research and found out there are alternative procedures that are phenomenally cheaper. So I called back and the nice young lady says to me “we quoted what you asked for”. And THAT my dear friends is WHY I’ll stick with Edge Dental. The team is exceedingly nice, and they literally give you what you ask for, no extra sales tactics, no suggestive language to get you to spend more money. I love that they made me figure it out. It’s not their job to know what I want. It’s their job to know what I need. #humble #lettheexpertexpert Stop going into these places thinking YOU’RE the expert. See you soon edge dental‍♀️‍♀️

My experience was not good here. I just moved to Texas and was having severe pain in one of my back teeth. I was told that I had a huge cavity and that I needed a root canal. I made an appointment and was told that the service could be done there. After 2 hours and severe pain later I was told the problem was bigger than expected and I need to go to a specialist. So now I’m left with a very sore mouth and a t that hurt more than ever. I go to the specialist who was able to address the issue. I go back to edge so that they can put the temporary cap on my tooth. After a week the temporary cap fell off. They only call to see when imma come back to put the permanent cap on. I address my concerns and was told a manager will contact me. It been over a month. When i think of edge dental i think of just pain and all they want is money and they don’t care. Zero stars

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lai and his staff. They are prompt with the scheduling where I did not have to wait for more than 5 mins when I arrived at the office. My first appointment was for a dental cleaning and exam where Dr. Lai himself did my cleaning. I was expecting a dental hygienist but was surprised that Dr. Lai was able to do my cleaning. My second appointment was for 6 fillings (I know I know) and I was thoroughly impressed by all of the new techniques the office has to ensure that you feel the least amount of pain as possible. The worst part for me is the local anesthesia, but I could barely feel it since he incorporate topical anesthesia, a vibrating device, and temple massages to decrease and distract from the pain. Would highly recommend Dr. Lai and his staff.

BE CAREFUL. First they show you an estimated charges of the the job however they would add incremental charges to it. KEEP ALL RECEIPTS. They would easily deny that you paid for the prior services. Several times I had to show my old receipts to prove that I paid my entire bills. Seems they don’t learn or they may be do it intentionally? Their front office told me that they are NOT negotiating with insurance companies anymore. They tried to charge me full price despite of I had full insurance. Why should I pay their full services and pay the insurance at the same time? The dentist missed to catch a simple crack in one of my teeth. Does he have sufficient knowledge and experience? I don’t take risk anymore. He is not the only one in Houston.

Dr Lai should stick to engineering as he's not a very good dentist. I've had braces for 3 years about 8 years ago. I went in to replace my fixed retainer on the back of my teeth. I kept on telling him that's what I want fixed since my teeth are slightly moving since my retainer broke. He simply added more glue to back of my teeth, shaved off a little of my front teeth to make them appear straighter (Which have been very sensitive since then and are STILL MOVING, btw) and he suggested I get veneers! I couldnt believe it,I am 23 years old with perfect teeth, I just needed a simple procedure done and he completly tried to upsell me to something I dont need or ask for! UNBELIEVABLE!

The entire staff at Edge Dental is so wonderful, friendly, and professional. My comfort during procedures was a priority for them. My deep cleanings, local anesthesia (shots) and extractions barely had any pain at all and seemed to be done in no time at all. I also spent hardly any time waiting in the lobby each time that I’ve gone in (I’ve waited an average of 1-2 minutes or less before being seen). The dental facility is equipped with state of the art with incredible dental technology (in my opinion), and Dr. Lai has been gentle and wonderful during all of my procedures and he is by far my favorite dentist in all of Houston! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lai and Edge Dental!

I went to Edge Dental this afternoon as a new patient and was very impressed with the whole experience. The office is located in a nice part of town. It’s clean with a nice, relaxed ambiance. Overall, the staff was all incredibly professional and courteous. Dr. Lai was quick and thorough. He has a great sense of humor and appears to really enjoy what he does for a living. Hester did my cleaning and she was amazing. For someone with sensitive teeth, she was incredibly careful and took her time to make sure that I was comfortable. They are running a legitimate operation over there and I highly recommend anyone looking for a new dentist to give them a try.

I went in for deep cleaning and assessment of my teeth . I was met by Chloe very sweet personality and made feel at ease! After assessment of my teeth I needed a deep cleaning was very scared to be honest lol but the doctor put at ease ! And broke down everything that I needed to have done to get My back teeth in healthy place! Esther was my Hygienist and she did an amazing job on my teeth after I was done, I broke down in tears on how amazing my teeth look she’s very thorough and she made me feel very comfortable and Chloe he was right there by my side to keeping me calm! If I could give 10 stars I would!

I cannot say better things about my teeth cleaning at Edge Dental, especially with Esther. From the moment I checked in to the final polishing of my teeth, every point interaction with staff was nothing but respectful and cordial. When my teeth cleaning began Esther took her time on inspecting every tooth and pocket. Her hands and precision were delicate making sure I was in constant comfort while the cleaning were taking place. Overall the attention to detail that Esther had is what set apart the dental practice from all the other I have been to in the past. Highly recommend!

Edge has been my dentist since the pandemic times. They took care of me after 7 years of no care due to moving around. I have been in for cleanings, deep cleaning, fillings and recently I had to get my front teeth filled. They helped me get a night guard to prevent damage. Long story short professional, caring , explaining what’s going on with providing options. They listen and let you make the decision to go forward with whatever you feel comfortable with. I went here for a look at what was giving me pain. It was 7:50 pm when i got there and Dr.Lai still saw me. He quickly saw i needed a root canal and wanted to do it the same night, but i wanted them to be able to talk to my insurance first. I came back the next day and got it done. There was no pain during the root canal, even when giving me the numbing medicine. He was very gentle and his assistant was very helpful. Edge Dental is a very professional and comforting bussiness. I will recommend Edge Dental to anyone who wants a kind and professional dentist.

Dr. Justin Lai and his staff have been an absolute pleasure to meet and receive dental services through. Lorena is the office manager and has always been professional and greets everyone with a smile when coming into the office. I have been going to this dental office for almost 2years and have never had bad service. The office has always been very clean and the equipment looks brand new. With Covid-19 going on this is very important as a patient. I have recommended his office and services to family and friends that feel the same way.

Superior service from Lorena-scheduling and insurance verification to Esther-the dental hygienist to Dr. Lai the care is considerate, professional, and exceeds expectations every single time I go. The is by far the best dental center I have been to and the best dentist. From the moment I walked in the staff was friendly and kind. Dr. Lai takes the time to make sure his clients understand what is going on inside their month. Great dental office! All of the workers from the front desk, dental assistants, hygienists and dentists are so nice and great at their jobs. It’s always a pleasure to go here and unlike any dentist I’ve ever experienced. They have very modern technology and procedures that make things that would otherwise painful nearly painless. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Highly experienced team. Don’t always like going to the dentist but my experience with Marquez (hygienic) and Alvey (Dentist) was awesome. I have been struggling to get myself to extract my wisdom tooth but the confidence displayed by Alvey helped me to decide that very moment and of course it was over so quick, I had to ask to see the tooth and confirm that it was done. I will recommend Edge Dental.

I only offer up 4 out of 5 stars, not because they don’t deserve the 5th, but because my visit was not fully completed. However, the atmosphere is definitely a 5, the people and their willingness to accommodate, a 5, and the information given was noteworthy. Considering the location and all of the pluses, I will definitely look into making Edge Dental my go to spot for good teeth and a perfect smile!

Had LANAP procedure and "deep cleaning" done recently. Great customer service, very personal, yet very professional. The clinic is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Justin Lai was very gentle and caring, making sure I was not in any discomfort all throughout the procedure. He also provides a good post procedure follow-up. Edge Dental is highly recommended.

It was my first time there. A great experience! All of the staff wore masks, even the receptionist, which I appreciate during these coVid times.
