My Edgewood Journey… Series 1 Edgewood College standing out leading us to future bright. Cutting edge and sound education…. And the song goes on and on………. The new normal, right? Edgewood College was able to adapt to the new normal and I am impressed and excited about all that the school has been able to achieve since the beginning of the pandemic. The whole world was caught unawares by the pandemic and while we were still trying to figure out how to complete 2nd Term of 2019/2020 academic year, Edgewood College completed the last 2 weeks of Lent Term online without any hassle. God’s name be praised forever. I was so impressed with the fact that the children completed 3rd term of 2019/2020 academic year virtually, what about the exams conducted virtually with virtual invigilators, uploading of scripts with QR codes, locking of screen if you try to use another web browser etc. I have few friends in other so called “big schools”, they were unable to achieve all that Edgewood College did for the children. I showed videos of virtual classes with few of my close friends’ home and abroad and the accolade is that “this Edgewood school is Okay oo”. Edgewood College is a Christian school and we are loud about it and this can be seen in the daily devotion/assembly.I love the worship session where students are always encouraged to learn new gospel songs. Prior to the pandemic, there is a particular gospel artist that my son loves to listen to. I remembered asking him one day that where did he hear the song? He replied and said “Edgewood” during assembly. I was excited and happy that he listens to gospel music and this is a reflection of what Edgewood College can do to a child. By the way, the name of the artist is Matthew West and the song is “Grace Wins”. Another of his song also ministered to me ‘Love on the radio”. Back to cutting edge education, so far, it has been a journey of 4 years of sound education, spiritual, physical, moral and academic excellence for my children. The discipline is top notch and the quality of dissemination of knowledge passed down to my children is quite impressive. Edgewood College has raised role models in the past and still raising role models, and all I can say is that Edgewood College is still raising world class leaders. The foundation of education is primary and secondary school education and I am excited about the values imbibed in my children. God chose Edgewood for me, no one told me about Edgewood College and the journey has been good and great. God Bless Board of Directors, Academic Staff, Non Academic Staff, Students, Parents, Edgewood Community!!!! Mrs O.A (Proud Parent of Edgewood College Lekki)
This school is the most disgusting school . They search bags No privacy a man barged into a toilet where girls were changing The owner of the school's daughter and cousins go there everything is not fair Food is the worst the amount of money they get they can't give good food a boy has food posining Bus 6 people share a seat and the owner has so much money . I know the food is disgusting but why make it worst you change spaghetti to beans and moi moi. They tell you the amount of food you are meant to eat we pay so much money for school fees and they have the guts to tell is how much food we can eat. The music teachers beat students with a drum just because they want students to be afraid of them they want to feel big . They say students should clean their class rooms if that is the case give us the money for cleaners back , just because they don't have money pay the cleaners that is not my problem. AND THEY Put to much pressure on children. *SAVE YOURSELF * , * SAVE YOUR MONEY* AND *SAVE YOUR CHILDREN* SO DO NOT YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!
Very small and it does not have any facilities. They play football and run on sand in a church area because it does not have to be paid for. They do not take sports seriously and they focus on the little things like how full your hair is ,the length of your skirt , the length of your hair. They punish without reason and most of the students would rather not go to that school. There is no privacy. They search bags , no tissue in the toilet male cleaners clean female toilets, toilets are broken , air conditioners do not work, students have to share seats on the bus. The staff insult students and their parents behind their backs and sometimes to their face. This school is so bad they beat children with canes they should be sued for child endangerment and child abuse. The owner of the school has serious brain touch, they suspended children for "bullying a child but meanwhile that child was doing the same thing. ... DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!
This school is actually so terrible, the 6th form is ok but the whole management is weird. If you acc want to go to a proper school don’t even come here, the only thing a child can survive in this school is friendships, sports aren’t taking as seriously as before as well. Some teachers hit children even though it’s “not allowed” according to the school but when it’s time to address that situation they will be reluctant or start trying to blame it on the child. Oh and the teachers are probably 5/10 some are nice and care about the student some are so unnecessarily rude and a lot of teachers leave and new teachers come very often and it’s just inconvenient and they even cancelled music as a subject . The only good thing i know about referring to subjects is that art it’s taking a bit more seriously
Giving it two stars for now because even the appearance is extremely dull. I don’t know, the teachers don’t have much to say when introducing new students, and they don’t want anybody following the students into hostel. Why lol? I’ve come to drop off my brother for the first time, why can’t we help him out. They don’t have drinks here, only water. Also, I’m seeing a lot of reviews that say they beat kids here. In this day and age? Let’s hope they won’t sue. You also have to pay for laundry but they have no idea how much in genera that would be? I guess they don’t use money here too, which is quite forward. Everything is supposed to be on a voucher or card. That’s cool. However, the area is very small. Hopefully my brother will have a good time here still
Edgewood College Lekki, is the best choice I ever made for My children. Wonderful school. Academically, morally and spiritually sound. A place that feels more like home than a school. Intelligent teachers that believe and care a lot about the students success. The pandemic did not affect Edgewood College in anyway. Thank God for the first class information technology Department. The students are Amazingly techie. Commitment and hardwork is core. Cambridge school of the year 3 times running. Excellent Cambridge results every year is not surprising. I will recommend the school 1 million times over.
Africa & Nigeria's top rated British curriculum school maintaining a high level of discipline, providing students with an exceptional education that promotes academic excellence and personal growth where students are encouraged to exercise self control, respect and responsibility preparing them for future success. It is an excellent choice for parents seeking a disciplined and educational environment.
I particularly think this school is not properly situated. It is so enclosed and has little or no space for the natural growth of students. It does not present the best learning environment. There aren't even spaces to park the few buses it has. I'm not sure of the academic standards but environmentally, there's quite a lot to. Be done.
Although, the building isn't purpose built, the environment is so serene, clean and cool. Located inside Lekki, Phase 1. Students are courteous, neat and tidy. Try visiting the school to know more.
Very good and suitable environment for students. Edgewood affords the students a quality all-round education and you can feel that in the intense ethusiasm of their students.
What a school this school is useless every staff is a the 1.5 million just to to travel to France
Wonderful school. Wouldn't trade the experience for any other school
Focused learning environment.
