I have had the privilege of shopping at Edis Chocolates since its arrival here in Austin and what a delight it has been for my family and friends to receive the most delicious and beautifully made "sweets" of all kinds! I had my precious mother's birthday cakes made here and each one was delicious and beautifully decorated. The seasonal cookies and cupcakes are extraordinarily made and decorated with each holidays special celebration! I think my favorite decorated cookie is the magnificently decorated TURKEY for Thanksgiving! Edis' cookies are truly a work of art and that goes for all of her chocolates, too. If you don't experience the sweets from this shop, you are missing out on one of life's biggest joys and that includes Edis herself. She is an absolute delight to know and she has run this shop with a few helpers for many, many years. I thank God for Edis Chocolates and for all of the sweets made available to us all from endless hours of cooking and decorating each sweet and packaging them in such a professional manner. You will be proud to present any of Edis' sweets to your family, friends and professionals groups, too! When you walk through the door of Edis Chocolates, brace yourself, for you will never forget the experience!
Some of their prices are decent and the quality overall of their desserts is pretty good. They have good packaging, too What I tried and my picky self’s review: 1. Italian cream cupcake: great flavor, beautiful piping but dry (maybe sat out too long?) 2. Maple pecan bar: big portion, average flavor and texture—too sweet and needed some oomph, maybe spices and a hint of sea salt and more of a crunch for the pecans 3. Lime bar: definitely THE WINNER! Great taste on the curd, amazing taste and texture on the shortbread. And large portion, so great deal for the $. I could eat it every day and not get sick of it! I’d also be 400 lb though lol 4. Chocolate hearts: extremely overpriced, average taste for the white chocolate one. Do not recommend 5. Lemon lavender shortbread cookies: they taste like shortbread made by a novice. Not that they’re bad, just barely make the “good” mark. My taste buds are quite good but could barely feel any lemon or lavender. Still a good snack and come in a cute little bow-tied baggie 6. Cheese puff: fair price point and good to have a savory treat. It’s a fancy name for a simple pandebono (milk and queso fresco bread)
The chocolates here are just ok. Service was good, but was missing a tasting guide. And I have to be critical just because this shop is way on the pricey side compared to what I have gotten from artisanal chocolatiers in Houston and Dallas, even post-COVID inflation. And the designs are a little...rustic and flavors very simple compared to Araya/Cacao & Cardamom/Kate Weiser/etc from the bigger Texas cities while the prices here are 150-200%.... You’d expect the usual experimental ganache like passion fruit or lavender but most of the truffles here taste very similar to each other. And price wise, I get that it's Valentine's Day, but a 12-piece heart box came out over $60 here when you'd expect it to be $40-50 for much more truffle design and exotic flavors. (I would have gotten the regular box for $20 less if there were prices listed anywhere in-store.) Is Austin really that much more expensive, or is it just a question of a lack of local competition? Maybe next time I'll try Delysia in Cedar Park.
Heaven is on earth! Every single thing on the menu is absolutely delicious! The hand rolled truffles are the best I have ever had even in my travels abroad. I have tried practically everything on the menu and my absolute favorites (because I can't pick just one) are the meyer lemon cake, the hazlenut amaretto torte (your eyes will roll back with each bite) and the flourless chocolate cake which is so decadent and rich, it just melts on your tongue! The shop is a hidden gem and I truly hope it becomes the sensation it deserves to be. The owner and her daughter are wonderfully warm and the ambiance is that of a cafe you would experience traveling abroad, a place to linger, be leisurely and indulge! Edis Chocolates is my all time favorite bakery!
I found Edis Chocolates while looking for options for an office event in 2020. We did a custom order of about 50 2 truffle mini boxes with a few of them being vegan. All absolutely wonderful and well-packaged. When I tried all of Edis' truffle flavors I was amazed at how rich and smooth, subtle, yet flavorful they were. Since then I've made it a point to take a few family members there when they visit Austin. My husband and I like to go there just to treat ourselves (like buying some boxes of truffles just for ourselves for Valentine's day!). I have had basically all flavors of truffles, the chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate cake, plain chocolates, and a couple flavors of macarons. All beautifully made and absolutely delicious!
I've traveled the world over, been to various places in Europe which is where we get the best chocolates from...Edi's will give any chocolatier in the world a run for their money. He truffles are amazing and her cakes likewise. I have made it a habit to buy her cakes for birthdays here in the office and people wait with anticipation for the birthday celebrations...It's that good! Her ingredients are top notch and you can taste it. Prior to buying from Edi's I was left with the likes of Central Market and Whole Foods...NO COMPARISON. If you haven't had her truffles and cakes yet, do yourself a favor, make a stop and indulge in what I believe, after having eaten the best in chocolates around the world, to be simply the best.
This place is such a gem. One of the best parts is that it is family-owned and operated. But everything I’ve ever gotten from there has always been so delicious as well as beautiful. They consistently have a large variety of chocolates, desserts, pastries, etc. So it’s hard to choose what I want. I just have to keep trying something new every time I come back. Lastly, Edis is always on top of special events and holidays. If there is a festivity, you best believe Edis is going to have a themed items for the occasion. I’d recommend Edis for any birthday, event, or even if you’re driving by and want to stop in for a little something sweet.
Edis Chocolates is a hidden gem in Spicewood Springs neighborhood. I originally discovered this shop about 4 years ago, and have never been disappointed. Their Handmade Truffles are simply amazing, the outside chocolate is dark but not bitter and the inside is velvety smooth. Sold by the dozen and 1/2 dozen they are perfect for any special occasion. Edis has a variety of other pastries that are whimsical and beautiful decorated. My second favorite dessert is the heart shaped Flourless Chocolate Cake, it has a mousse like texture on the inside with a very silky outer layer of chocolate.
I’ve been a regular customer since Edi first opened. I do marketing so I’m often picking up treats to take to offices. I love the ease of her location relative to my office, the variety of delish treats and her daughter, Olivia, who always greets me with a smile. We catch up on our lives and off I go with some delicious cakes, pecan or lemon bars and some of her delicious Brazilian cheese puffs that I get every time I’m there. I love supporting small businesses as well. You’ll love them.
AMAZING customer service! I wanted to surprise some friends who were in Austin for a bachelorette weekend. Being out of town, I tried to order through Uber Eats but the app wasn’t working. An Edies employee, Astrid, went out of her way after work, after her shift ended, to drop off my cake at where my friends were staying. She also did a wonderful job decorating it! Of course, couldn’t try the cake myself but it looked absolutely delicious and my friends raved about it!
Perfect place to get cakes, sweets, and chocolate. The truffles are amazing! I highly recommend the black salt, scotch, mayan, double chocolate, and grand marnier. They are all delicious and will not dissapoint! The chocolate cake is also very good. Didn't know they also carried macarons so, I tried the chocolate and the pistachio flavor last time I was in the shop and they were light and delicious. The staff is always very kind. It is always a pleasure to stop by!
Amazing, rich chocolate cake! It was a hit with everyone! I was searching for a highly rated bakery for a last-minute cake. After looking at the reviews, I called Edis Chocolates and fortunately they had a chocolate cake available. It was also a nice touch that I was able to get it personalized on the spot, with a custom message and chocolate shavings. Thanks for making my celebration extra special! And it was a pleasure interacting with your friendly staff. :-)
This is a cozy and charming dessert shop. They have a good variety of cakes and sweets such as cup cakes, mousse, croissants and cookies. They serve fresh coffee and have other beverages available as well. I’ve tried several things from Brazilian pão de queijo and coxinha, to the different flavored croissants (cheese and almonds). The place is small, there are literally three tables inside. But the service is good and the food is delicious.
Edis Chocolates has delicious and exquisite dark chocolate truffles. You can get a box of assorted truffles or choose your own flavors for the same price. A little box of these makes a great gift for a chocolate lover. I enjoyed their hazelnut truffles, while my mom raved about the double chocolate and espresso flavors. Can’t wait to come back to try the chocolate mousse, the hazelnut torte, and the flourless chocolate cake.
Edis Chocolates is literally the best chocolate shop in Austin! I’ve been coming here for years and not once been disappointed! The quality cannot be beaten and the service is phenomenal! Edis and her crew are angels! The chocolate cake, lemon bars, croissants, chocolate bark and truffles are a few of my favorites but you cannot go wrong with anything made in this shop!! Don’t miss out and get over to Edis Chocolates ASAP!!
Worst Customer Service Experience Ever. I made an online order 5 days before date of my event. It’s disappointing to see how this business can be so inconsiderate of others. They cancelled my online order 25 minutes prior to the time I was expecting my items to be delivered. No call or notice to notify for the reason of this. Please be advised of their terrible customer service so no one can experience what I went through.
I picked up some cupcakes and truffles for my mom's birthday. They were great about helping me choose over the phone and brought the sweets out to my car. When I opened up the pretty packages to share with my mom, we were delighted. The cupcakes were so delicious we had a hard time deciding which we liked best, and the truffles were fantastic. We had so much fun admiring them and eating them!
Ordered a dozen GF cookies and cupcakes for my best friend’s bachelorette and Edi’s Chocolates did an outstanding job! I found inspo online and they were extremely easy to communicate with. I sent them the inspo via text and they turned out even better than I thought, extremely delicious and reasonably priced as well! The whole group thought they were tasty as well. Thank you so much.
So. Amazing. Edis is lovely and joyful! From farmers market to here she has done an incredible job of serving the world great chocolate! My fav, though, is her excellent Paõ de Queijo that is just like i had in Goiânia! She's making chocolate eggs for Easter like thet have in Brazil and I am so excited to taste one! The shop also has coffee and other pastries both gluten and g free!
I found Edis Chocolates by chance while on a truffle hunt today. The cutest little shop. I walked in and I was greeted with a smile and sincere genuine service! I had a few questions about which truffles to try and in the end I wanted to try them all. I'm so glad I did these truffles are delicious! You can tell they are made with quality ingredients. I will absolutely be back!!
The truffles here are SO. GOOD. I got them about 4 years ago as a gift for my now-husband, and have kept coming back ever since! We've probably tried every flavor and have yet to find one we didn't like. Definitely a hidden gem in Austin. We tried a few of the other desserts this year and they were really good as well, but the truffles are where this place totally shines.
Do not be fooled by aesthetics. Although, Edis chocolate shop is small the flavor of the chocolate is amazing. After buying Choclate and not knowing what it taste like, we decided to go try Tessa's as well since it was in the area. Although, Tessa's has a nice presentation. Definitely go by Edis. The truffles at Edis are by far my favorite out of the two chocolate shops.
This place had great desert options. I enjoyed the macaroons, dark chocolate caramels and the Hazelnut Torte. Next time I will have to try the coffee while I enjoy the desert. There is only one small table outside of the shop that two people can sit cozy with each other. There is no other place to sit so just know you will be enjoying your delicious great somewhere else.
I came because I found it having really high rating in google map and it is right nearby. It is a small sweat shop. I like their Hazelnut amaretto torte. Chocolate Mousse is great as well. The bakery items are just so so. It is a place I would recommend to neighborhood but not to traveler, of course if you happen to be nearby, then you can give it a try.
This is definitely the place to go for linzer cookies and lemon (and lime) bars! I probably treat myself once a month here. The shortbread in all three has a delicate homogeneous crumble that just melts away as soon as you bite into it. I don’t know if the apricot and raspberry fillings are homemade but they’re perfectly sweet and proportioned.
All of the pastries here are so so tasty. The lady working the counter was very friendly and helped us pick items that we loved. We had the dark chocolate cake, some macaroons, and some truffles. All of the items were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. If you're looking for great chocolate cake, go here. It's so tasty!
I was looking for a choclate vendor to use for my client gifts for holidays. When I got inside and started to explain to the owner what I do for a living, she was rude, cut me off and told me that she has a no solicitation sign and would I leave! I defiantly would never buy or recommend that anyone buy from this person or business.
One of my students, who rides my bus, gave me a small box of their truffle type various flavored chocolates on the last day of school. I had not heard of this company, but after eating these, and each one was wonderful, I will seek out the store to see what else they have to offer. Thank you again, Duncan, for the candy.
This is where I come for special treats - fancy truffles for a gift or cupcakes for a birthday. Okay, fine - I'll also sneak in whenever I'm in the neighborhood...because who can resist! They have amazing little tarts, these delicious lavender lemon butter cookies, and some gluten-free options that are all so good.
Just did a Google search for desserts near me and found this hidden gem. I was greeted as soon as I entered the store. Everything looked so good. I got a double chocolate cake and it was the best!! My husband got bread pudding and it was really tasty. I definitely recommend when you have a sweet tooth.
What a cute, quaint little store. The hazelnut torte cake is to die for, and gluten free! In fact many of the things there like the truffles and macarons are. Cookies and cream macaroons and Madagascar vanilla truffles? Yes please. The cheese bread was also very tasty, and again gluten free, so +9001.
This cake is one of the BEST cakes we have ever had. My mom was so happy that I found this bakery. Her favorite cake is a flourless chocolate cake and she said this was a flawless cake and it absolutely MADE her birthday. 10/10, highly recommend.

Bought an assorted 12-pack of the truffle chocolates to share with some friends. Great friendly service and amazing flavor variety. If you're concerned about the price, trust me that you're paying for quality and passion. Would strongly recommend anybody who wants amazing flavored chocolates.
Edis Rezende, the chef and owner of this tiny bakery storefront, has the warmest and friendliest smile, and her selection of handmade, fresh cookies and desserts are gorgeous. Definitely try the Double Chocolate Truffles. TIP: Open Mon-Fri from 9am-6pm and Sat 10-4pm. Closed Sundays.
Impressed! Went in expecting something average and found a real gem. They have a varied selection with very few things I wouldn’t want to try, everything leaning towards upscale. Having one of Edi’s biscotti with a morning coffee right now, looking forward to the next visit!
Sooooo very good! Everything is tasty! The truffles are gorgeous and I ordered a large bulk for the holidays as client gifts. Each truffle has a lovely design. Here is a pic of their Thanksgiving designs. So pretty and I cannot wait to see the ones I ordered for Christmas!
A little disappointed with my visit recently. We bought a big box of truffles, three side pieces and a couple slices. Everything tasted good, the poor review is for not packing up a side order of peach truffle. Left a generous tip and feel disappointed in the oversight.
Saturday morning croissants, mic drop! The have truly the best bakery goods, plus sweets and tea. Try the almond croissant, then the chocolate and plain croissants. You'll feel like you're back in Southern France again. Plus it's fun saying 'cwasan' to your friends!
I needed a gluten-free dessert for a party. The owner was helpful in choosing an appropriate option, and the chocolate tort was absolutely delicious--definitely a hit with all of us in attendance! All the treats I tasted were amazing--I definitely plan to be back!
Great little Brazilian chocolate shop. Excellent treats for a gift or small party! There's quite a variety of products, too. My favorite treat was this chocolate cookie with pecans called 'golden treasure' or something like that, pick one up for yourself …
Their dark chocolate cake with chocolate caramel is my favorite treat in Austin. They also have amazing handmade truffles, chocolate covered caramels, and a killer Meyer lemon cake. And now they have macarons! I tried the pistachio and it was out of this world.
Edis Chocolates is everything you want it to be and more. From the lemon bars to the cookies, the cheese puffs, the truffles, the mousse, the hazelnut torte, and etc. You literally cannot go wrong with any choice you make. I'm beyond in love with this shop!
I bought a chocolate cake for my girlfriends birthday and needed leave a positive review. We loved it. One of the best cakes we've ever had. Who knew a chocolate cake could be so good. It was nice dealing with the people there too. Thanks Edis Chocolates!
Edis Chocolates did the desserts for my wedding and they were a huge hit! Not only were they gorgeous, but the taste was… just wow. I could eat the lemon bars for every meal, and the truffles are to die for. Thank you so much, Edis and her team!!
I was sad to see the prior cake store close, but I have to say that the neighborhood did not lose anything when Edi's opened here instead. They have a good selection of excellent chocolate desserts at reasonable prices. I'll be going here a lot!
Edis Chocolates has the best chocolates I have ever had in my entire life, and that’s a fact. Not only does she make amazing chocolate creations but the best thing ever are her Lemon Bars. Heaven on Earth. If I could give 6 stars I would!!!!
We’ve tried a number of Edis’ delicious items, and they’ve all been amazing! Of course the chocolates are great but the cookies and cakes are outstanding too. Every time we’re in the area we always stop in. Well worth the trip to NW Austin.
This is one of my favorite places to get a delicious gift for the holidays. The chocolate is some of the best I've had, and the employees are very friendly. It can be on the more expensive side, but well worth it for an occasional treat.
A super cozy place with delicious, imaginative, beautiful desserts- not just out of chocolate. Good gluten- and nightshade-free options. Great staff. But be mindful- there's no public bathroom, and there are only 2 small tables.
For the chocolate lover in you! It’s so good. Lots of variety, decadent cakes, cute pastries, gift sets, and whole cakes. Glad I got to try their yummy chocolate cake slice.

A friend of mine brings me Edis Chocolates on special occasions, and the truffles and chocolates are the BEST I have ever had. I always look forward to them. The ganache-filled chocolates with the hint of liqueur....perfection.
The best pastries ever . So many fresh options, great service and a clean space. Love their cakes, truffle, caramels, bread pudding.. omg !! It is really good . I am so glad to have this place on my city! I can't wait to go back!
Oh my, they have the BEST macarons! They actually hand make them, whereas most places buy them frozen. Salted caramel is my favorite flavor! I also love their brownies, lemon bars and truffles, which are all handmade as well
If your looking for homemade, quality ingredients and a delightful experience with the staff, come here. So many truffles are packed eith sugar and waxy chocolate these days. Edis is a breath of fresh air from that. Thanks!
Chocolate is great as always; can’t say the same for the girl at the counter. I don’t care if you don’t like your job. Don’t take it out on your customers. And it’s not called being rude if I’m just returning your energy.
Literally the most moist and delicious chocolate cake! Called for a same day order and they were able to pull together this cute design! Everyone loved the cake. Highly recommend coming here for all your dessert needs!
My mom and I really enjoyed all the sweets we got F Edis. I got a chocolate croissant and Pão de queijo. The croissant was just as good as the ones I had in Paris a few years ago! I will be returning again!
Nice, but small shop. I was expecting more in terms of a selection of chocolates rather than just a few chocolates and some baked goods. The cookire are delicious, haven't tried the chocolate yet (gift).
Such a quaint shop with delicious homemade Brazilian chocolates and pastries. The owner was very pleasant and let me sample some truffles. Great place to have a quick bite or use for a catering event.
Everything is absolutely delicious! Edis- the darling owner- is a GEM! The iced sugar cookies are the best in Texas! The lemon squares wonderful and the cheese balls perfect! Thank you! Gretchen Kyser
Fantastic! Delicious! Decadent! Edi's provided the chocolate for my birthday. It was excellent. All my guests raved about it. Definitely recommend! If it's just for a treat or a party, go to Edi's.
First time ordering at this bakery. Wonderful selection..i ordered chocolate croissants for my co-workers. Delicious delicious delicious! I will be enjoying them again, thank you Edis Chocolates!
Edis has the best Chocolates I have ever had. Everyone needs to try Edis Chocolates. The owner Edis gives you great personal customer service. I would highly recommend visiting Edis Chocolates.
So yummy and amazing!! everything here is beyond phenomenal, one of my personal favorites are the lemon bars! be sure to try some next time you stop by the store!!!! love love love this place!!
Perfect place to find the best cake, Cupcakes, special cookies and chocolates for my 5-year old party. Everything was so perfect, colorful and delicious! Coming back for Thanksgiving goodies.
Beautiful chocolates & baked goodies - coffee & tea too if you'd like to sit for a bit. They'll even bake a very special cake for your special occasion. I'm never disappointed! …
I love this chocolate shop! The pumpkin cookies melted in my mouth. I don't live in Austin anymore but I love stopping here when I come by. :) support our local treasures like this place!!
CHOCOLATE CAKE!!! ❤️ I had their chocolate cake for Valentines Day this year and I was truly amazed. Not only was it beautiful, but it was perhaps the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had!
They had the most variety of any kind of sweets that you could possibly imagine. I finally just picked something as I had to leave. It's an awesome place and the shopkeeper was great!
Great for some sweet treat. But even better when ordering a cake. Edis and her team were outstanding and surpassed my expectations on delivering a beautiful and delicious custom cake.
Not only is the staff at Edi’s wholesome and welcoming but the chocolates and truffles I ordered are some the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back soon!
I bought a birthday cake last year that was very dry and lacking in flavor. It seemed like it was old. I love Edis, but that cake was a disappointment.
I am a fan of their flour less chocolate cake and hazelnut torte. Bought them yesterday, but they tasted like perfume and I couldn't enjoy. …
Visit Edis Chocolates at least twice a week. Just can't get enough of her chocolates! Simply the best in town (in the Universe?)!!! 5 stars plus!
Really nice small specialty shop, the desserts were delicious, maybe a little more variety could have taken me to five stars! Recommend it!
The most beautiful cake I ever seen in my life. It tasted fantastic and the bakery team and owner was sooooo nice. …
By far one of the best places I've ever got cakes from. Everything is made in-house and it tastes so good. 10/10 recommend.
We've been enjoying Edis' scrumptious cakes and treats going on 10 years now! Hands down the best chocolatier in Austin.
Their cakes and candies are the finest and richest in Austin. Try little chocolate hearts for dinner party dessert! Wow.
Their lemon cake is SO delicious!!! I have served it at three gatherings and each time, guests have raved about it!
Beautiful, elegant and a very cozy chocolate shop. My favorite treat was without a doubt the chocolate truffles.
The hazelnut amaretto torte is DECADENT. It never fails to please. It's easily one of my favorite desserts.
The chocolates are lovely and delicious. It's a gem of a shop, well worth stopping by.
One of a kind chocolate plus gluten free dessert! The owner is a gem.
We loved the lemon birthday cake!
