Update: Elbow Casino responded below but I never heard back from them after I emailed twice. Fail on the customer service again. Seems like they just respond to show people viewing reviews that they care but don't really. Dim Sum at Elbow Casio was one of my favorite places but not sure if I will go back now. First off, it was busy on Mother's Day so I was trying to be as understanding as possible. The waitress took our tea order but then forgot to bring it to us and walked by to reiterate what we ordered but it was incorrect. Then our food took over an hour to get to us. We had asked the tall gentlemen that worked there and he was very short when he spoke to us saying they had put everyone's orders at the same time (did not apologize for the wait). We did get some of our food an hour later but we were missing our plate of noodles. We had asked a waitress how long it would be and she said she would ask the kitchen. She never came back to our table but instead the tall gentlemen came back and said it will be here soon so I told him, can you check how long it will be because if it is too long we will cancel it. He gave us a look and said okay. Ten minutes later came back with our bill and said he cancelled the noodles. We never asked to cancel it as we wanted to find out how much longer but he did it anyways. His attitude wasn't great towards us and never apologized once. There was one Asian bus boy that was doing his best to serve us but the rest of the staff that we encountered should really work on their customer service. I usually tip at least 18% or more depending on how the service is and unfortunately I felt like even 10% was too much. My parents and I walked away still hungry.

I have ordered a food while playing inside poker room. The food was served by a Chinese woman and when I started to eat I saw a diamond on the food and some black color things. So I called her back and I noticed she had very big and long black nails and on top few diamonds attached to nail. I felt very disgusting. I asked her why it happened like that , she said won't happen again. I was very disappointed and after a while left because I could see she was showing bad look to me. SO HOW COME POKER ROOM AUTHORITY ALLOW PEOPLE TO KEEP BIG NAILS , THOSE WHO WORKS IN THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE SECTION.THE AUTHORITY SHOULD THINK ABOUT THE PUBLIC HEALTH, because poisons/dirts and other things from nails can cause serious health issues. people are working in food and beverage section area should not be allowed to be like that.

I inserted my $499 bill to take out the cash. I grabbed the loonies and some change and got out. I got outside the casino and realized that I forgot to grab the $495 cash. I requested the staff to check the cam, and they mentioned that they found the guy who took that cash, and that guy denied that he took the cash. Then casino staff gave them two options, either give that money or leave the casino. And the guy left. I understand that i should have checked properly before I leave but my question is, is this really fair that they have the proof that guy took the money and they can’t do anything. At the end, I was told I lost the money. I don’t think it’s really fair to me being as a loyal customer. The casino should have give the money I didn’t get to me as a courtesy.

The casino itself is not bad. It is kept in clean and in good condition. The restaurant here has a good buffet from Thursday to Saturday so if you are going to the Flames game and can't get a reservation for the Saddleroom at the Dome then this might be a better option. It is cheaper too. There is not as much entertainment here as down at the Deerfoot Casino and there isn't a hotel to stay here either. The YukYuks comedy club is upstairs here and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor parking. The indoor parking is free! A very good value indeed. You can still walk across Macleod Trail at the lights from the casino and walk all the way to the Dome. The staff here tend to be pretty polite and helpful so don't hesitate to ask them a question. They will help you.

Went for the Dim Sum, loved it to pieces!! Just such great food. Have an open mind, when coming here. If your unfamiliar with this type of food. There is a picture menu, ask for it or where to grab it to save yourself some time. The picture menu shows you portion sizes for each item. I ordered more than I could eat but I went into this knowing, I would bring food away. Best $50, I spent in a long time. Such a culinary experience. Got to try, soup dumplings, and egg tart. You can order to bring food home as take away, if you're in a hurry. Park in the underground, trust me. Its safe. Overall, loved this casino experience, take your time. Have some fun. 110%!

Food is a hit and miss. Usually great though. The dealers are all great to play with and good with the customers. SOME of the pit bosses on the other hand, not so much. 99% of them are fantastic but the odd ones do not know how to speak to customers and shouldn’t be in the position they are. I’ll miss the place and most of the staff but not some of the pit-bosses. I don’t think it’s acceptable to speak to customers the way that some of them have spoken to me and many others so I’ll be taking my business back to grey eagle where the service is consistently good and they keep me smiling even when I lose alot of money.

Terrible food, awful service, dated decor. Restaurant was NOT busy at all. In fact, we were one of 4 tables seated and the waitress took forever to greet us, and provide us menus. Bartender was literally standing behind the bar playing with his hair, and ignoring customers that were waiting to be served. Food was bland and lacked any sort of substance. Waitress came and checked on our table once. No refills were offered, and we when we finally did get our bills, they were incorrect. But instead of waiting another 10 minutes for the server to go fix it, we just paid. Will go a little further and go somewhere better.

Elbow river casino security needs to take a class in customer service and how to treat customers with respect. On june 24 @ 527 pm i entered the casino and was approached by 2 east Indian security guards about what's in my hand bag, i told them it was medicine than he said it better not be food, i said do you always ask every one what's in there bag, he said nothing , than security followed me around in casino and i decided to take my business somewhere else. Used to like this casino but the staff are rude and not attentive. One of the servers walks around angry yelling drinks. Walks away without giving you your change back and just assumes she gets to keep the rest for her tip. I am too uncomfortable now going to this casino after I have been coming here for months with the same poor service and rude servers. I’d rather go to cowboys where they are always happy and actually indulge in conversation with the customers. Don’t waste your money here. It’s not worth it.

Dim sum fantastic for the value! (Dear owner, to your response to my response - the dim sum at the casino wasn't exceptional, or excellent. It was "very good" I hope this gives you a better understanding of the "five star" grading system.) I am very aware and fully understand the grading system. To your recent response, I'd give you no stars for your lack of knowledge. Like I said "Dim sum fantastic for the value!" - It's not excellent or exceptional - your response wasn't exceptional nor excellent either.

We stopped in prior to a Roughnecks Game at the 'Dome hoping for a buffet, alas it was all seafood, which isn't our cup of tea. (Nice buffet though if you're into seafood). So to the lounge it was. Our server was friendly, and the food was enjoyable. The prices are what you'd expect in a regular restaurant and the servings were very filling. I recommend the broccoli and mashed potatoes for sides. We'll definately be returning for future games as it's a great location!

Upon recommendation I made a point to try the pho, which was not to my taste. Another time, someone I didn't know was trying to wrestle and pushed me onto the ground. Instead of helping, security asked me to leave. On the way out I asked why and they did not have a reason. I suggested reviewing the camera's to validate, or doing so with a manager, they refused. I was not drinking. Nor have I returned despite it being a long time ago.

Been meaning to try this place for dimsum, since I have been recommended by many others. And it was really good which feels unexpected and surprising for being inside a casino. Great variety and reasonably price. Taste and portion sizing was comparable to other dimsum restaurants. There were lots of seasoned dimsum goers eating here too, so you know it is good! Offered Friday, sat, sun 11-3pm. Definitely will go back.

I went for dim sum brunch. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. The no refill policy on soda pop seems petty when most patrons are gambling so the establishment is making tremendous profit already. The food price was average, not lower as I would have expected with a casino meal. For dim sum I would not recommend going here specially. If you're in-house already and want to eat dim sum, then it's good.

Visited the Casino for Dim Sum. Its offered Friday, Saturday and Sundays. The food wasn't bad. The service was good. There is free underground parking. It's tight, so some large trucks may find it a bit difficult. We didnt gamble, but the establishment was smoke free and there seemed like quite a few "regulars" . I would return again to try other items on the menu. I can't speak of price as we were treated to lunch.

This place is a real gold mine if you learn how to print money here. I’ve learn a lot of poker and life skills from this place. I met my lifetime friends here. I feel blessed to have been lucky most of the time i play here. Lady Luck almost always favors me. …Love, love, love this place! Food is second to none. Restaurant produces great and affordable meals when playing at their poker room.

The only human interaction I had was pleasant. The rest was not as great. Seats were uncomfortable. Machine were limited, everyone looked angry and smell of cigarettes smoke found its way into casino. The 'complimentary drinks' were not easily accessible. The only other good thing was the free parking. I left shortly after arriving.

I came for the crabs and I left 100 lbs heavier! The food selections were not plentiful and I didn’t care so much for most of them but the the poached/baked salmon and the crabs were spectacular! It’s one of the most affordable buffet places in Calgary that serves awesome crab legs and fresh salmon. Will keep coming back for sure!

Not a very friendly place. My husband wore black eyeliner(he's a metalhead) and got accused of wearing a disguise and told to take it off. This was just normal eyeliner. To say it felt discrimatory would be true as I doubt they accused the women wearing makeup as having a 'disguise ' . Truly ridiculous.

Extremely friendly staff, that make you feel welcome and comfortable. The restaurant provides Asian and western food choices, that are prepared with taste bud quality. Highly recommend to visit and experience the Food and gaming experience, that will make you want to come back again and again.

Dropped in to support Calgary Opera and had a very late supper. Ordered a bowl if wonton soup. Very generous bowl of soup for $8-9. 6 extra large wonton and lots of veggies. I didn't like the filling of the wonton, the flour and seasoning wasn't balanced but it's a decent meal for the price.

Do not under any circumstances have the Veal..Veal flavored chewing gum is what you will be eating..fish and chips is another one..fish flavored batter... DO have the blackened chicken and if you're lucky you'll get Carissa as your server..she'll make your dining experience much better..

One of the best places for dim sum believe it or not. Lots of variety on the menu, hot and fresh in a casual setting where you can get your own sauces and pack your own leftovers to go, it’s great. Free parking, always clean bathrooms, and of course try your luck at your game of choice.

Fabulous seafood supper. No rushing people out. Great bussers. Slots that actually give the bonus games and payouts. Love the band's Fridays and Saturdays. The staff are great. I really like going to the elbow. Don't forget the indoor parking. All is good for me at the Elbow.

The food and service in the poker room is fantastic. Karen K is a wonderful server in the poker room and really knows her customers well and talks to them and is very friendly. The service is prompt and a good experience. I have been playing at this casino now for 24 years.

Best casino in Calgary, very friendly, lots of good food options and lots of game varieties. A must go in my books, not to mention the indoor and outdoor parking options and a comedy club built in.

My favorite casino. Staff are helpful, friendly and for most smiling. It's usually packed on a Friday, Saturday if band is playing. Tons of new games all the time. Just a great casino to go to.

Went to Yuk Yuks for a fundraiser. All the acts were great. Only issue we had was with the restaurant. Took forever to get service and then the food was only mediocre.
