Unfortunately not at all what their reputation precedes. After being unable to attend an appointment and therefore paying a cancellation/no-show fee (which I understand and happily paid), I was berated over the phone regarding the doctors time being very important (I don’t disagree) and the receptionist repeatedly stating her “neck would be on the block” if she re-booked an appointment for me? At no point was I asked why I was unable to attend the original appointment? I was repeatedly advised that people are sick and the doctors time is important (again I understand and agree). After paying the cancellation fee (which was for myself and my child so I wouldn’t want both of us to miss an appt intentionally however circumstances occurred which took priority). I was then advised by the receptionist that “they” need to review my request for another appointment and the doctors would decide whether they chose to see me and my child or not? After 2 days the receptionist called back to advise an appointment can now be booked. My GP who I’ve had for 12 years has been in India for 18 months and this was my first experience with a brand new clinic. This clinic came highly recommended and I’m left extremely disappointed. I have decided not to rebook with this clinic or refer anyone I know here because of this experience. I’m not generally one to leave this kind of review but after 2 weeks of deciding whether I should speak my truth about this experience I decided yes.

This, quite simply, is an AMAZING medical practice and should be the blueprint for every other. Eleanor Clinic is something really special and you feel that from the moment you step into reception which has a warm, inclusive and inviting atmosphere - it's like going into a comfortable home when you need help. The doctors and nurses are emotionally present with patients, personable AND highly professional, and their standard of care has gone far beyond anything I've ever experienced anywhere else in over 40 years. Antje Theilhaber (who is now my full-time GP even though there's way more distance to travel than my local clinic), Dianne (absolute wiz with a needle) and their team really are the gold standard and I'm so grateful to have been referred to them. I simply cannot recommend them highly enough. (PS - Having experienced the practice first-hand, it's very clear to me that the 1-star reviews that have been posted previously here are being done by people with other agendas - they couldn't be further from reality!!)

General feedback, Paid $146 for initial consultation ($75 get back from Medicare) that lasted less than 15minutes. Took my baby to a specialist GP thinking I’d get specialist advice, support and service only to be treated like any other bulk billed GP. Anyways decided to give them another opportunity. My baby had the rota virus vaccine and I was concerned that he hadn’t passed any stools for a few days post vaccine. Called to make an appointment, only to be told they had none due to the fact a doctor was off sick and they had to shuffle patients around. Thank you, but if the receptionist had enough time to give me an excuse about why you were booked out rather than asking me what the reason was for making an appointment and maybe advising me to take my baby to the hospital or even taking the time to try and book me in for the next available appointment, is not really considered specialised care or support.

I had my first appointment at the Eleanor Clinic yesterday and every step was an absolute delight. The receptionist was instantly welcoming and spoke with a calm truly relaxing tone. I've had severe period pain and menstrual issues for the last 10-12 years that have really been overlooked by other doctors and addressed as "just a period" or "everyone gets cramps". Dr Katherine Rybak made me feel heard and my issues taken seriously. She gave me multiple short and long-term solutions. I felt so well looked after and an issue that has been causing me emotional and physical stress finally addressed properly. Thank you and I look forward to my future appointments.

Great clinic & would recommend to all. I recently became a new patient of theirs & within the few months I have been going to them Dr Naima, she has managed to solve an issue no other doctor bothered to try to even come close to resolving in a decade. The first appointment was VERY thorough & included covering all previous medical history, what my current concerns were & anything else I could possibly need assistance with. I didn't feel rushed through like at bulk billing practices I had been to in the past. Time was taken to listen to my concerns & follow up on anything the Dr thought might need further investigation.

I booked my appointment over the phone. I was not advised that if I had any cold or flu symptoms that I would need to be seen outside even if I had evidence I did not have COVID. I was waiting for 15 minutes for my appointment which is fine but was interrogated rudely by the reception staff and then advised that because I had symptoms (even though I had a negative RAT) that I would have to have my appointment outside in a tent. If I had been advised of this policy when I booked my appointment (over the phone) I would have rescheduled my appointment and not wasted anybody's time.

This is an amazing practice practising good quality primary care. I have only experienced respectful, informed care by the GPs, practice nurses and reception staff. I have been (pleasantly) surprised by follow up, which is closer than I have ever experienced to the ‘your GP’ of the health promotion pamphlet! Unsurprisingly, I have heard it’s hard for new patients to get an appointment here, and fees are required. Other than the fees (themselves a reflection of an inadequate Medicare system), this is a ‘model’ centre from which other centres could well learn.

Eleanor Clinic has been my go-to for the past year or so. It is a beautiful and welcoming clinic and all of the staff are lovely, professional and really take the time to listen to your concerns. I recently switched to Dr Antje since my previous GP left, and Antje has been excellent - so empathetic, thorough, attentive and responsive - to my chronic health concerns and mental health-related concerns. The nurse, Veronica, is also great and my appointments with Dr Naima have also been excellent and thorough. Would highly recommend.

This place had such great reviews but honestly the worst practice I have ever been to. Was continually cancelled on last minute and then booked in with a doctor that was not even qualified without being advised. The doctor couldn’t even perform the test I needed properly and was advised to come back so she could try again for another $146. I don’t leave negative reviews as I believe the world needs more positivity but I just wanted people to be aware of how unprofessionally this practice is run.

Saw dr antje theilhaber, will never return, went to get a script for my birth control pill so I had enough for a camping trip I was planning on going on, and got told that I need to see another doctor and then told I should look into more permanent methods of ‘birth control’ I was shocked, I found someone else who has seen her and has been discriminated on because of activities they get up to in their spare time, apparently she is a fascist that hates people who hunt to feed their families...

Not very thorough and not worth the extra cost. Was told I had low iron and needed to take supplements. No investigation as to why my iron might be low or what supplements would be best. Went to my normal GP for some more information and he went through all the possible reasons I might have low iron and what to do/how to monitor, then went through all the supplement options and what would be best. This is the level of detail I would expect from a specialist and much more expensive clinic.

I visited Eleanor clinic for the first time yesterday, what a lovely and friendly doctor's surgery wonderful reception staff and professional and knowledgeable Doctor Nama ,I was so relaxed and felt very comfortable the whole time of my appointment. What a wonderful team of caring staff thank you so much looking forward to my next appointment well done I was recommend by family members to attend the clinic for my health I wish I had attended this practice many years ago!

I’ve just moved my family of three across to the Eleanor Clinic and can’t be happier! We’ve been on the hunt for more than three years now for a doctor in the western suburbs that is rainbow family friendly, has female GP’s and depth of knowledge in Women’s health. A special mention to Dr Eunice Sales for her caring, knowledgeable and warm approach. I struggle to have a doctor remember me let alone my little family! It’s such a wonderful and refreshing change.

This clinic has saved my life many times, always manage to make time for their patients. I moved to the area over a year ago not knowing who my local doctor would be, once I walked into this clinic I knew I was at a place where I was welcome, I love all the doctors I’ve seen here and can’t see myself going anywhere else. Shout out to Dr Sales who is hands down one of the most considerate doctor’s I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet.

I saw Dr Eunice Sales. Had a great experience, she was super friendly as were the rest of the staff. Got follow-up pathology results within a couple of days of my test over the phone with a nurse. Also Melbourne Pathology which they seem to have as a partner are so much more professional than the others I have been to! Very highly recommended and worth paying for - no more bulk bill clinics for me.

I have been searching for a family GP to monitor and manage my trans son and his twin sisters mental health for a while. I have been thrilled to discover Dr Cathaya Yong, who has been generous with her time, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. I am so impressed with her, that I have now made her my doctor as well. I am so grateful this clinic exists.

I made the mistake of going to the Eleanor Clinic and wish I'd never heard of the place. One of the GP's there is a narcissistic incompetent man hater who should have her licence revoked. You'd be better off going to the vet around the corner than taking the risk of having your life destroyed by this place.

I came to this clinic after countless recommendations from friends, mothers' group members and also my lactation consultant. I had my first appointment for my 9 month old son and I can see why Eleanor Clinic is so popular! The space is very warm and welcoming and all staff members were happy and helpful.

I visited the Eleanor Clinic for the first time today. The waiting area was welcoming and reception staff lovely. I’m extremely thankful for the care I received from the practice nurse and GP, they were both kind, respectful, listened carefully and my health concerns were addressed.

We visited Eleanor clinic on 17/11 for review of our son. Dr Marc Theilhaber was fantastic. He spoke to our son on his level to better understand what was going on and assess properly and also to explain things back to him on his level so our son could too understand. Very happy.

I saw Dr Antje theilhaber when my usual doctor was on leave. Never again. She gave me a script for a medication but failed to tell me it has a bad interaction with another medication I'm on. You go to a doctor for help, you don't expect them to put you in hospital.
