"The London Underground "Elephant and Castle" Subway Station to London road is key to London's entire transport, the last stop in a second zone, with stops at the bus stops, which take buses to all directions of the city, both to the Central City District in the first zone as well as the other important areas of London located in the areas in the different directions of the city I recommend it! 5 stars!"

Elephant and Castle Station is often overlooked by Londoners in the area due to its location. Combined with the elephant and castle shopping centre adjacent to the coronet theatre. The station is well maintained with an open ticket desk and staff in the foyer atmosphere times. Pay in advance online by booking through train booking services or use Oystercards for inner London services. Stepped and ramped access is available by prior request. Contact TFL Customer Services to book or a member of staff on the concourse. One thing I noticed is there are no bins in the station except in a few limited spots during peak times.
I have an invisible disability re ulcerative colitis and when I asked the station guard if I could please use the lavatory his attitude was "go use Weatherspoons!" It was early in the morning and weatherspoons was closed, I was also on my way to work. I ended up walking quite far down the road to a car hire company where I begged and was granted the use of their toilet. I understand it may not be possible to use a staff toilet but his attitude was rude, disrespectful and without knowing he could have made my situation alot worse!.
One of the busy station in zone 2. Service is good. Staff is ok. This station serving by two underground lines Northern n Bakerloo. This station is fine but all I don’t like is the lifts for going down at station. There’s no escalators. Even this station has a great location. One side London Bridge n other side Westminster & one side Vauxhall & other side Waterloo. Don’t know y this station is being ignore.

This station has two entrances/ ticket halls one on London Road and the other next to the old shopping centre. There is lifts available from the ticket hall areas halfway down to the station then stairs to the platforms. The station is like a maze depending on which entrance you entered from looking for the northern or bakerloo lines. The bakerloo line terminates at Elephant and Castle Station.
What an historic landmark of London close to old Kent road and new Kent road. Within walking distance of Walworth road, Waterloo, Lambeth North borough high street and London bridge. Elephant and castle has an average shopping centre. It boasts a mainline railway station heading out towards Sutton and Wimbledon it has the tube line and it has busses to pretty much any postcode
You can only take the Northern line and the Bekerloo line at this station. The station has 2 entrances, one from the shopping centre side and another one from South bank university side. What makes this station special is that you have so many buses that goes almost to every directions and the stops are on both sides of the ststion entrances without crossing the roads.
Not picturesque! A very busy road interchange. The original pub from which the area gets it's name has long gone and a lot of redevelopment is taking place. The shopping centre which was famous in the area has been demolished and I can't think why you would need to visit without a reason. Maybe it will be better once the redevelopment has finished.
Elephant & Castle is located in the Elephant & Castle section of London, the station is served by the Northern Line via Embankment and Bakerloo lines, with connection to the National Rail, Elephant & Castle is a busy station during rush hour, the station is great during off peak hours though, Northern Line service isn't the best though.
Very rude staff! My valid travel card wouldn’t go through the barrier so I asked the guard if he could let me through. He was really abrupt and told me to try again then started belittling me saying “so you actually want me to let you through.” I don’t understand the rude behaviour at all when it’s his job to be helping customers!
Elephant and Castle has changed a bit since the 2000s. It seems to be going a rejuvenation program so.looking better, but today, it was grey and dull due to the weather. The pink elephant is sadly no longer there ... I.have put a picture of where it once stood, hopefully will find it in someone's back garden in years to come!
An interesting and quirky place, kind of feels like you've entered some sort of forgotten world at first when walking through the covered market. It gets very busy here at rush hour, and as others have mentioned if you're relatively young and spritely you can use the stairs to beat the lift to street level!
Awful station with terrible signage and weird interconnections between the lines including National Rail. It feels unsafe unlike other Zone 1 stations. I don't know how you can have luxury flats in this area. It is a rip off. Do not contribute to the bubble. Avoid.
It's good that it provides a vital interchange between underground and national rail but it's a horrible station overall. There's a long walk to and from the Bakerloo line platforms and only two lifts down to the main subway causing lots of
I'm a teacher at the other school, you know the other one, and this school is outperforming us so much that I've been compelled to write this review. ah! I hate it here! Get me out! Ahhhh! I'm Liam ahhh help me ahhh it's so dark ahhhh!
The staff here is very affable. Particularly this one gentleman in the Bakerloo line who helped connect my Railcard discount with my Oyster card. I didn't catch his name, but if you're reading this kind sir, cheers to you.
Easy to move inside the tube and arround. Every thing working very well. Many things are changing due to work is doing in the Old shopping center. .But this place still looking good for shopping and walking around.
Easy-ish to navigate, but lifts aren't always working, can be mildly confusing if you're not au fait with London for which exit you need to take. But does provide easy access to National Rail links by the station.
A good station for getting trains to/from other stations. No sign of an elephant or a castle, so the name is a bit misleading. You're better off going to London Zoo or Buckingham Castle for that. Nice roundabout.
The place is being renovated and it's getting there. Looking already more classy than before. The awful shopping centre is finally brought down, including the awful pink elephant. It was about time .
Well on the plus side if you're looking to lose weight you're in luck! It's quite a walk underground and, like most underground train stations, the smog will shorten your life, a real classy joint!
Dreamy destination. Zone 2 but with all the luxury of nearby Zone 1. If you're looking to travel to Radlett this is THE station to make that journey from. Love Elephant and Castle. Love life.
Its a good workout taking the bakerloo line. I like the look of the station. Its old but well kept. The trains need to be upgraded though. No aircon and the seats need cleaning.
It's central London where newly built skyscrapers, various bus routes, market, shops of different nationality, Underground, taxis, train, churches etc meet in one place.
Very nice station but info is inaccurate, station is apparently "very busy" when I know for a fact there is a tube strike and no trains are running. Needs escalators.
When we went the lift was not working and one of our party was unable to climb the 117 steps so we had to walk to the other entrance to head down the escalator .
Use this London transport hub 7 days a week..with 2 underground stations and lines..over 20 bus routes..and overground station... its a south london mecca
. Good quality staffing zone 1 underground station, a lot of beggars hanging around outside, huge amount of renovation going on in the area
one of the Zone 2 station in London. If we get down here a take a bus will save some pounds when we travel 5 days per work
Still road works Shops in the arcade needs refurbishing The new gym stands out It beautifies the mall
This is one of the most popular tube station to me in London. The Bakerloo line dies or starts here.
This is the National Rail review not the Underground. They are both walking distance from each other.
Will probably be a great deal better than what it is now once the current development is finished
Safe and very central for London residents. You can get to whereever you want to go from there.
No one is ever on the bakerloo line so you always get great seats but it is very hot though.
Feels like a stairway to hell with how hot the Bakerloo line is. Great connections though.
Easy accessible. Has both tube and main lines. Mainline Station is in the shopping centre
Early mornings at the moment quite for Bakerloo line. Not busy till Oxford Circus station
this was the first time i ever got lost in an underground station. so confusing inside.
A strange station, some very weird stairs to enter and exit unless using the lift.
Much cleaner than Oval Station and I prefer it despite the fact that it's Zone 1
All stations of London underground are great for photoshooting …
Nice and accessible. Looking forward to see the new shopping center
St George's pharmacy. Great quick service. Polite helpful staff.
A lot of refurbishment/building work around elephant and castle
Great food and great place for friends to meet up!
It has been demolished and new structures built.
