Sadly, I am in the process of filing a malpractice suit against Elite OSM for a breached standard of care. I was injured by one of their providers, who turned out to be only a massage therapist, standardly performing chiropractic adjustments. When the young, inexperienced, fraudulent practitioner bore down on my shoulder, I cried out in pain for him to stop. He played it off like his method was standard. For the next few days I developed crippling migraines, vomiting, and dizziness. I reported to Elite, gave them the opportunity to correct my injury, but after learning that the erroneous practitioner was allowed (the manager and co-workers knew) to practice outside his scope, I lost trust with the entire organization and left. Eight months later, I am still in chronic pain and discomfort. This injury has disrupted my life! I have just begun treatments with a legitimate Doctor of Chiropractic, while paying out of pocket. I've asked Elite to cover my expenses for healing, however, all I get from the owner is plausible deniability and avoidance. I am not a high profile sports person, and I am here to report that I did not receive a basic standard of care. I don’t care how reputable or skilled the owner is, such ethics defines his true character. The first tenant of medical practice is to “do no harm.” In an office where everyone is enabling harm to occur, they are all at fault. There is no integrity, nor honor, in a company that would allow such a thing to happen and then hide. Elite should not be trusted with anyone’s spine! Chiropractic malpractice can result in permanent paralysis and even death. If you value health, integrity, ethics, seasoned expertise, and wisdom, then I recommend that you go somewhere else. Take a look at the website (wish i had), wailing on people's spines is pure machismo and false bravado. If any others have been harmed as a result of wrongful practice at Elite OSM, I hope that you will speak up! Such medical malpractice should not be allowed to continue! I do not like to have to leave a poor review, however, I have done my civic duty and provided warning. When i first posted this review there were only twenty two reviews before. In one day, twelve new five star reviews with comments from the owner came in . . . clearly a deliberate attempt to drown my review out. Do not be fooled. I am also reporting Elite's practices to the NM licensing boards.

DOWNTOWN LOCATION First I want to say that the Dr who worked with me was very friendly, knowledgeable and was able to get my pain level to decrease no problems there. That being said, on my first visit I showed up 10 min early with my paper work filled out and ready and I still waited 40 min after my scheduled appointment before I was seen. When I was finally seen I was rushed through my appointment and speedily handed over to the billing area. After that I was still in pain and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I went to my second appointment it felt very much like how the first appointment should have gone. They saw me on time and asked a lot more questions and took time with my actual problem areas. Third visit, once again I waited 40 min after my appointment to be seen and while waiting I overheard two staff members talking about one of their clients who was running late to their appointment and that they would be charged if they did not show up soon. When I was seen the treatment was effective, but I still felt rushed out the door. 4th and final appointment I showed up on time (3:50 for a 4:00 appointment) and I was told that my Dr. was not even there and I would be seeing someone other than the Dr. who had been treating me up to this point. I was also told that it would be a "little" bit of a wait because that Dr. had not yet seen his 3:30 appointment. I did not have the time to wait what would have likey been over an hour so I left. Something seriously needs to be done about the overbooking issues at this business.

I have been going to elite for around 9-10 years when the first practice opened off Lomas. I had a injury from construction that always had me in pain. I had fallen off a roof and scaffolding had landed on me. I never recovered from that. It was a daily pain issue that was tolerable some days and some times unbearable. Pain meds and quick fix MD l’s didn’t do it’s job. Before seeing Dr Hightower and Maya I was getting shots in my neck and back to reduce pain that would only last a few days. These shots are very expensive and don’t take care of the real issue. I needed help and Elite is that place. When I started my weight-loss journey I was in a lot of pain. I started my treatment to help get my body in maintenance mode and show me the ropes of doing home exercises and stretches to help with my sciatic injury, Shoulder and back. During that time I lost 250 lb and continue to see elite on a needed adjustment. I have recommended many friends for the best in the business. This isn’t just the 15 mins PT and be your way. These appointments are targeted to help be your best and get you back to be healthy. Elite is the best and by far is family to me.

Dr. Hightower and the staff at Elite OSM are amazing. I’ve been to so many places, large and small, and have never gotten the quality of care and compassion that Elite OSM offers. The tools they use and the knowledge they have makes all the difference. I’ve never experienced pain relief or any other positive results from any of the many chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, etc., etc., etc. that I’ve seen over the past 5+ years, until now. And just when I thought I had tried everything, I found Elite OSM! They take the time to understand how you feel, where your pain is, and they work to address your specific needs. They truly care about your results and wellbeing, and they know their stuff - they're incredibly knowledgeable. Dr. Hightower has helped me more than any other professional I've ever seen and I wouldn’t go anywhere else to manage my pain because the quality of care is just unmatched.

No communication. I made an initial appointment & was on time. The therapist took another person, who arrived after me, at my appointment time. Someone took my vitals & I waited 35 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. 2nd visit. I voiced my concern since I had waited after my appointment time for my therapist. Another person took me to do exercises, then the therapist took me after 25 minutes. When I was leaving, I asked someone what is the procedure around here. THEN is when I was told I'm supposed to work with someone prior to the therapist. NO communication as to the process. Emailed 3 days prior to change my 3rd appointment time - never heard back. The therapist is knowledgeable still I would NOT recommend.

Maya, Dr.Alicia, Dr. Beau and all the staff are the epitome of healthcare in ABQ. They offer great treatments and professionalism as they make every patient feel important. Dr. Hightower has treated for multiple injuries and most recently has resolved issues in my neck and spine that no other clinic in Albuquerque could identify. I did PT, Chiropractic, injections, and general medicine and nothing helped. Since i'm a lifter and i work on a computer throughout the day my injuries are common, but I've learned to fix most minor tightness. Elite OSM team has taught me good technique to self manage pain and offer services when i cant resolve it on my own. They're great. I highly recommend.

Made an appt to see the famous “Beau Hightower” was made to wait for over an hour after my appointment and didn’t even see him, I got worked on by his assistants (who were great, but again not what I signed up for) I saw Hightower for all of 2 minutes and he seemed to have no idea about the situation or even the appointment in general. It seemed like his assistants were covering for him and stalling for him. In summary: if you are not famous don’t go see this guy. You are better off seeing someone else from the facility because if you make an appointment to see him specifically, you won’t see him anyway you will see his assistants and maybe him for 2 minutes.

I can’t speak highly ENOUGH of Dr. Sotelo. He is passionate about his work and it shows as he is educated, informative, professional, and amazing at what he does. Within moments of work, he was able to pinpoint some of my problematic areas of pain and tension, educate me as to why my problem areas were problem areas, and how my body was compensating, and most importantly, relieved those issues during our visit. He also gave me ideas I could use at home of how I could work on minimizing and preventing some of these issues from re-occurring. Grateful for your work and teaching, Dr. Sotelo .

Had popping in lower back/hip area for at least 6 months. Went to chiropractors and massage therapists in my area as well as exercising and stretching and nothing seemed to help. Was recommended by my family to make an appointment while I was visiting and got scheduled with Pat Pacheco. He seemed to target the area that needed work and I left with more knowledge on how to target pressure points in my tighter, problem areas. After a few days, I am very bruised but was worth the pain and bruising because the popping has completely subsided! Highly recommend, worth every penny!

I saw Dr. Donadio after hurting myself doing home workouts during pandemic. I've been a massage therapist for 15 years at that point and this was the first injury that I couldn't take care of myself. My range of motion had become so bad putting on socks and shoes was a challenge. After one treatment I was back to full range of motion and was never so aware the structure of my skeleton. The only reason I didn't go back was I didn't need to.

Our journey with elite started with Dr. Hightower. My husband is a Iraqi/Afghanistan veteran. He injured his back during deployment. Dr. Hightower changed his life. In 4 visits he was able to touch his toes, put on his shoes, and run around with our kids pain free. We began seeing Char McDonald and she has been our go to for the last 3 years. We are both able to live pain free with the help of Elite and we can’t thank them rnough

Doctor Anthony Sotelo at Elite OSM was the ONLY one who was able to help me get mobility back! I had TWO frozen shoulders. I had tried PT, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Massage. None of them worked. He and his staff were so patient and helpful. There were times he spent over an hour doing naprapathic therapy and making sure I knew how to do the home exercises correctly. I can’t thank them enough!

I’ve had surgery on my shoulder for multiple dislocations. Most surgeons said that I have severe arthritis and need a shoulder replacement. No doubt I would eventually but not now! Greg was amazing in explaining all his processes when he worked on my shoulder and I came out of there pain free! I wish I lived next door to him but he has helped me tremendously and I can’t thank him enough!

Dr. Char is incredible! She actually uses her brain to solve problems, unlike many so-called "doctors" who just scribble on prescription pads all day. Dr. Char has helped me on a number of occasions when I thought I had a serious injury, but it turned out to be very manageable in a session or two. Highly recommended!

Dr. Anthony Sotelo is absolutely AMAZING and I’m so thankful for him and his line of work. He has worked on both my husband and I, and both of us left from him feeling better than we did prior to seeing him. He is professional, extremely knowledgable, and very passionate about his work. Incredible service! The team here is fantastic and they offer therapy that is really unique. You'd never expect that Albuquerque has some of the absolute most skilled therapists in the country. If you have musculo-skeletal pain this needs to be your first call!

I came to Dr. Hightower and his associates for my lower back pain. His team was very professional, helpful and courteous. Started off with some small exercises, stretching, cupping and hot pads. Then I got adjusted by Dr Hightower. Definitely worth it!!

Maya is a miracle worker. I saw so many PTs, chiropractors and acupuncturists before a friend referred me to OSM. My pain has gone from regularly 7 or 8/10 to basically zero on a day-to-day basis and I’ve been able to start running again.
