The Post Office here is infuriating. If you want to buy postal items - like you can at the PO normally - you have to queue separately for the Londis till. This is counterintuitive and there is no signage to suggest this is the case, so you end up queuing at the PO till only to be told this and then have to queue again at the Londis till, and then again at the PO till if you want to then post the item (e.g. if you bought a box or postal bag to use then and there). A ludicrous system that wastes everyone's time. If the PO is to close branches and open these desks in other businesses, then this sort of thing needs to be better thought out.

There's some grossly unfair reviews being left here. They provide exactly the service I need no more no less for those of us still using the outdated Royal Mail service. I've always found service to be polite and friendly but I agree with some comments about trying to push the more expensive postal options. Being asked "whats the value of the item" every time does get tedious as you know it's linked to upselling. Also being made to feel guilty for posting pre-paid items is frustrating. Improvements in service could be made but it's fine.

I have just been into this post office to post a small package. I asked for the cheapest way to send it tracked. I know it's not a lot. The man tried to tell me it would only be a proof of receipt if I wanted it cheap then told me it would be £8 something if I wanted it tracked. I've just checked the prices and 2nd class tracked up to 20kg is £3.60. He told me to listen to him rudely when I questioned him so I stormed off. Going by the reviews I'm not going mad and seems to be a regular occurrence. Not good.

Really disappointed with the the post office. The elderly man is very very confused and rude and I gave him my item more then a month ago to post 1st class and it did not arrive. I do not believe he posted it as he was so confused, very rude and did not know what he seemed to be doing. Do not post your mail here as they will lose your item. Post office stated it is their responsibility to make sure the post leaves the store and over a month later nothing. very disappointed.

It's not that bad. I think the 1-star reviews are a bit unfair. Yes, sometimes the gentleman who serves can be difficult, but he's from a different generation. I believe the family gave him that position to keep him occupied, which I think is good for him, even though it might not be so good for the customers. A tricky decision for the family to make. All my pre-paid labels from Vinted and many other retailers have been received nicely so far .

The man working in this post office lacks communication skills and has been unhelpful on many occasions . As if he is seeking out a thing to create a problem or charge you more e.g. trying to charge for large letter parcel fee. Since we started to drop off the pre-paid packages, he became even more troublesome, as apparently they do not earn on packages that are pre-paid online.

Post office run by disrespectful ignorant people. Extremely rude. This place should be shut down completely. They don't offer you all types of delivery options. They only tell you their recommended expensive option. I got an online quote, much cheaper, and when I asked why she didn't offer me that cheap but secure option, she just said, all people prefer the expensive option...

I have always found the people here to be really friendly and helpful. It’s my favourite post office. Basically, the staff are great, some of the customers are the kind of people who think it’s ok to turn up at the post office with a half wrapped parcel with no address on and then expect the post office staff to sort it all out for them while everyone else in the queue waits.

This shop will always over charge you and steal your money. I bought from them 3 times and each time they increase the quantity of one item that you buy and apparently they do the same with all their customers because they did it to my wife. Such a shame to see dishonest people in our area. Please be careful and ask for your receipt because they will never give it to you.

Such rude staff, not only did they refuse to send off letters for the lady in front of me, but refused to send off my return because I didn’t stick down the sides of the paper to their liking. This isn’t the first time I was treated so rudely in this post office. It’s such a shame that they make zero effort to help people but make their lives more difficult instead

I started going here about 2 months ago...a few weeks into it the old man with the bald head abruptly said to me that the local post office doesn't get any money for prepaid labels printed via ebay. I told him that I was paying via ebay and printing them to make it easy for me. he responded by saying well that doesn't help me. I stopped going there...very rude!

Be prepared for the upsell to special delivery. They never offer the full range of options such as the 24/48hr tracked service that Royal Mail offers and will push for special delivery. I usually print my own postage from Royal mail and arranging pick up to avoid it. I honestly don't know why they run the place if they are so miserable in doing so.

Reading the bad reviews, I personally have not experienced any of it. I only send prepaid stuff through Ebay, or my own first class stamps I bought from RM online. They were always accommodating and gave me my proof of postage. I’ve certainly experienced worse post office customer service in London Bridge

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I always send my goods from my online website from here. I'm not sure what these bad reports are but I've never had a problem here in 30 years of using it.

Love this shop. The staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Perfect for not only sending your letters/parcels but also to purchase those extra few shopping items. COVID safe too.

I always check the prices online before going in the shop but then when I get there, they always want to charge me more, and for this reason, I stopped going there.

The negative reviews are very unfair. I live over the road and have been shopping and posting there for years. Always super helpful and extremely friendly.

The team at Eltham Post Office are great. Knowledgeable and helpful although it can sometimes be a bit of a wait when they're busy.
