As a US citizen I am very much appalled at this embassy. As a citizen they wouldn’t even let me wait at the front of the building while my wife was inside. She is an Ethiopian citizen but been to the states multiple times growing up. She even to college in the US, and her visa still got denied just to come visit. I went into the U.S. embassy to get my passport renewed and the lady at the front desk was so rude and the person at the window was so unhelpful and cruel. I am ashamed to be from the U.S. because of how this embassy reflects the country. I feel no safety as an expat here and know the embassy is not a safe place even for citizens. I would also like to apologize to Ethiopian citizens who are treated so poorly by the workers. They don’t respect the country they’re in and that’s sad.

They are making business with Ethiopian money how can they be allowed to stay in our country and we are not allowed to visit they take the money and that’s it! This is more a scam than a real thing. The interview is a joke. The don’t take time to listen let alone understand your point. The denial is not reasonable the decision seams to be premeditated. No need for the queuing up only to waste time and money!

This is so unprofessional. They should have staff that are responsive on emails. I don’t think they even look at emails. why is it so hard to schedule boarding foil appointment. It’s been weeks since I applied for that appointment still no response. You call them. They will only say wait for an email. I wish USCIS could fire them all now.

The worst people ever I seen in my life! Poor customer service! Incompetent people! Especially those who work some windows like US citizens notary. I wish I can mention the name but I don’t want to do that! State department Should investigate what is going on USA embassy in Ethiopia.

I’m American citizen and I made online appointment and waiting last 5 months and I bring all the documents that they need but they said they don’t accept tax returns proof for last five years And they didn’t make me another appointment what should I do any one can help me

This is the most corrupt place in the whole world. I am A US citizen and I pay my taxes every year. I sent invitation to my parents and the interviewers don't even care to see my application letter. They only care to see the money they are getting.

The worst embassy i have ever seen in my life so unprofessional and very useless they charge me a lot of money for nothing i wish they will leave my country one day

Zero customer service even they don’t talk to you properly.They said they would reply ur email in to 3 business days but they never. Very disappointing
