"I think I echo a lot of the other 1 star comments here when I say this is arguably the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure of having to deal with"
"Poor customer services and communication, we started our communication with the embassy using the local telephone number provided, every time we get though some one hangs up the phone as soon as they pick up, we manage to get through and talk to someone after two days, the Indian lady who answered the call was very unprofessional, rude with an attitude, basically all we got was wait until we answer your email, even the instructions on the email were wrong (we had to come back again after receiving the correct information following our appointment), worse was when I went to picked up my wife passport, got in around 14:15 local time, the whole process should have taken 5-10 minutes, but I was in there for more than 2 Hrs and 30 minutes just to get the passport, Last person remaining on the floor, the lady was about to close the windows when she asked the security guard if there was any one else left, (pure ignorance), I guess y'all looking for some reaction to speed up the process, we would apricate if you guys just pay attention and do your jobs"
"Not only that my DS-160 was missing in their database but no effort was even done to help me with my situation"
"I am a United States citizen"
"A big and strategically designed office building for consular services and other services that are all using different gates"
I think I echo a lot of the other 1 star comments here when I say this is arguably the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. As someone mentioned earlier, the DISRESPECT is unreal. Maybe it is because they are dealing with Africans and they don't care for their own people, but they don't answer emails or calls in emergencies. They are extremely rude and I am surprised the American foreign services allows this to endure because they sure as hell would have been fired by now. The extremely subjective and vague nature of the visa approval process is also irritating. I can't be afraid to call or send my relatives to the embassy because they may come into contact with someone in a bad mood that day. I also disagree highly with charging for booking an interview before the visa is issued - it is a money grab and a shameful one at that, but that is a conversation on American superiorty for another day. I am leaving this review but I am also going to contact the American consular services and add this as a complaint.
Poor customer services and communication, we started our communication with the embassy using the local telephone number provided, every time we get though some one hangs up the phone as soon as they pick up, we manage to get through and talk to someone after two days, the Indian lady who answered the call was very unprofessional, rude with an attitude, basically all we got was wait until we answer your email, even the instructions on the email were wrong (we had to come back again after receiving the correct information following our appointment), worse was when I went to picked up my wife passport, got in around 14:15 local time, the whole process should have taken 5-10 minutes, but I was in there for more than 2 Hrs and 30 minutes just to get the passport, Last person remaining on the floor, the lady was about to close the windows when she asked the security guard if there was any one else left, (pure ignorance), I guess y'all looking for some reaction to speed up the process, we would apricate if you guys just pay attention and do your jobs.
Not only that my DS-160 was missing in their database but no effort was even done to help me with my situation. So they didn't proceed to do interview with me and told me to schedule another interview, which means I have to redo everything from the beginning, that means 160$ (384,000Tsh) that I paid will not be refunded, they didn't even address anything but heartlessly saying "You don't have confirmation, schedule again another interview". I don't have confirmation because my DS-160 file is no longer on your database and I couldn't print it after I did the payment. SCAM. Back 2019 in UAE, I applied for VISA in Japan Embassy and it was a 1 week process and I got my VISA. I only paid after I got my VISA very professional and with honor.
I am a United States citizen. I went to the embassy just to ask some questions about my passport, but wasn't allowed inside and denied the chance to speak with anyone. The people at the entrance were very arrogant and condescending. I was told to give them a call. Countless calls later and I'm not able to get in contact with anyone, only automated replies that repeatedly tell me to narrow down my inquiry which eventually led to being told to send an email. I sent an email only to find that the domain doesn't exist.. Very typical, rude treatment from an American establishment. I have important business and can't even get in touch with my own country.
A big and strategically designed office building for consular services and other services that are all using different gates. The separation is visible from outside and inside, if you are going for consular services, you have to plan ahead for the car parking, and if you have stuff that are metallic or are not required for your visit, you better leave them behind or plan not to carry them. It's just a smart area.
Very useless staff with absolute no training that whole team should be disbanded and sent back for more training. They don't respond to emails nor pick up calls just joyriding on taxpayer's money. I'm sure they are doing that because they are in Africa but here they would have been fired long time ago. They really don't care even if you're American citizen in dire need
I'm an American and I actually fear going to this place. Speaking to the motorcycle drivers nearby and hearing their stories about how people are treated in and around this embassy is like having a nightmare come true. It is honestly embarrassing that my country behaves like this. It is famous in Dar as being the absolute worst embassy to interact with.
The experience I had with one of the ladies who received my call was so heartbreaking, I just called to ask for information and she was very harsh for no no reason. I had to apologise if I offended her and hanged up, I don't know what was wrong. It was a very very bad customer care.
Is American Maritime Security Identification Cards (AMSIC) may l get at U.S Embassy- Tanzania Offices or from U.S Embassy South Africa Offices. And what is the actual fees for AMSIC. Eng. David Chisot from Morogoro - Tanzania, East Africa.
It's a high security area, if you have an appointment, it's best to arrive there at least 30 minutes before so that you can have enough time to check-in through the security system. Otherwise the staffs are quite friendly and professional
Visitor Parking is not for Immigration or Consular Services visitors. There is no parking available for those needing these services. You must find parking a short walk down the road to the North.
Very poor service . Very rude . Even to there fellow Americans . They don't realize they need to be civilized when there outside us or even inside . I recommend to call . No help at all.
They approved my dv visa without any hitches very good office with absolutely reasonable staff they should be awarded on my bill
