Rented a 15 seater van over 3 months in advance, checked to see if everything was set a week before and called the day before getting the van. A woman reassured me that the van was at this location and that it would be ready for pick up. When I arrived I had to wait 2 hours before getting a proper working van from Queens. I also asked for a trailer a few days before to go with the van and at first the woman told me that the price would be $375, but it later changed to $400. This was an extreme inconvience to my family and I because our trip was thrown off schedule waiting for the van. However, I do appreciate the people at the front desk trying their best to help my family and I. They also have reasonable prices for their rentals.I hope that this will not happen to another customer.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!The service here is scrappy and they lied by omission. They told me $1034 to rent a 15-seater for 4 days (Fri to Mon)+ a $300 deposit. After spending 3 hours in the office to rent the vehicle they ran my card for $1211.94 + $100 authorization costs. After I dropped the vehicle off Monday about 5:30pm, they charged an additional $340. This included cleaning cost for $78(they have to clean the vehicle for the next customer) we took all the rubbish out, we just didn't vacuum it. Another $236 because I didn't return the vehicle the exact time that I got it. There was a lot of small charges on my bill taxes and insurance they claim- overall a bad experience for me. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone.

Rented a 12 passenger Mercedes Sprinter while in NY with friends for the weekend. Empire had the best price after searching many options and even offered a St. Patrick's Day Special that saved us a few $. I'm glad I decided to rent from Empire. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, gave me a run-down on how to use the Bluetooth features and made sure I was comfortable driving it. The Sprinter was very nice, had tons of features that made driving it super easy. I would highly recommend Empire for your rental needs. Thanks guys!

Only reason for why i given this company a five star cuz of a manager at gunhill rd & allerton ave that not only polite, know how to greet people, break down details but he's a one man army machine where if it's ever busy he still make you feel that ur time n business is much appreciated . So the company in general got some decent prices but that fifth star belongs to manager Ray. I recommend the company in general but of the manager at that site in the Bronx i advise you to experience the service first hand.

Great service. The van was in great shape and directions for driving and returning the vehicle were clearly spelled out. Convenient after-hours drop-off was provided. The guys at Empire at the Gunhill Rd. location in the Bronx were spirited and I was more-than-glad to give them our small office business. I would definitely recommend Empire and will use their Bronx location and that 15 passenger Ford vehicle again! Thank You.

Rented from them for a first time family trip to the Adirondacks vehicle was in excellent condition the staff was very helpful and friendly..only issue I've had was with ez pass tolls wish they would include them on the vehicles being that most of these bridge crossings are cashless now other than that I'll be renting from them more often

I had a very pleasant experience with renting a car from Ray. He is a very dedicated and takes pride in what he does which is making sure his clients are 100% satisfied. He even had time to answer my questions about NYC because I do not live in New York. I will recommend him a thousand times over.

It’s ok and close to Coop City. Not too bad I like their locations to rent. Customer service regarding reservations should be honored and not given a last minute car especially when reserving a month in advanced. At the location the customer service can be improved also. Other than that it’s ok.

Love renting from empire! Good service and I have a great relationship with Jonathan! Good guy! Wish you were a bit cheaper, renting for a week is almost 1,000$ and wish miles were unlimited in metro area like the website says but I get limited. Other than that it’s a 10/10 from me!

The staff over at their gun hill rd. branch are very helpful, even when I was in a bind and needed something last minute they helped me right on the spot and I was so happy with they service they provided as for that reason plus others they will ALWAYS be my go to spot for rentals.

The rate they publish IS NOT the rate they actually charge when you try to rent a vehicle. This scam is the actual, old bait and switch that scammed use consistently. This is a bad business practice, so I would not use or recommend this car rental company.

Warning: Before you rent a vehicle, make sure you take pictures of the vehicle before you drive it and before you return it. For your safety they like to put blame on you for any damages that the car had prior to you renting the car. BE AWARE!!!!!

The employees were really nice here and accommodating. I gave 4 stars bc when renting the Budget Truck, we were unaware of the extra fees that were not provided on the website. However the place itself and the employees are on point. Thanks!

Very professional. Cheaper when compared with UHAUL. Vehicles are relatively new. They have a convenience drop off/return service but at your own risk after-hours. Only credit card...no cash.Security deposit is credited to your credit card.

I found the perfect 4x4 Pick up truck at Empire. They knew there equipment, their prices were fair and they were professional and friendly throughout. I highly recommend them over U-Haul, etc.
