Customer service at this location is really beyond words. The staff is engaging, patient, friendly, and welcoming. I wish i could say the same about the Fordham ( Bronx ) location. I had a very poor experience there. Not only was my rental in poor condition when i received it, upon return the representative was rude and uninterested in my experience with the vehicle or the notes written on the account. I was rerouted to "Corporate" . I was about to cancel my membership and no longer rent from Enterprise , however, i decided to try 233rd location. When i arrived, I was greeted, listened to, and above all else, i was treated with respect and care . The atmosphere was steady and organized. The employees were engaged with their customers and communicated to each other regarding issues/inquires in a professional and cohesive manner. They worked like a team . Alan was exceptional. He exemplifies what it means to take pride in your work and demonstrates that he is committed to making sure that customers are happy and will return for future rentals. With so many competitors, i would think that all of the Enterprise employees would share the same sentiment. The 233rd location is really a perfect example of great business. I have used Hotwire , Expedia, etc. and have received great deals but i will continue to go to enterprise because what i value more than a good deal, is great customer service.

I also had a reservation with this branch and was not told that it had been closed since March due to COVID. Furthermore, when I contacted Enterprise after showing up to this closed (at the time) branch, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled. I did not cancel the reservation, nor did I receive an email indicating or in any way confirming that my reservation had been cancelled (I've more than quadruple checked at this point). I was renting a car because I don't own one and needed to pick my mother up from the airport. Why would I cancel? I had to make my way to a different branch and rent a car day of for over twice the cost of the original reservation. After pursuing the matter privately with Enterprise, they have declined to reimburse the difference as they insist that "the reservation was cancelled on their website by a user". Notice they say "a user". Another direct quote from Enterprise (typos included): “our system clearly shows that the reservation we canceled on 8/31/2020 on the Enterprise Website. Since Enterprise did not cancel the reservation, Enterprise did not sent out a cancellation confirmation unless the system sent it out automatically.” What kind of reservation system WOULDN'T send out a cancellation confirmation automatically? They're either shady af or do not have a secure reservation system.

My wife and I made a reservation for a car to spend the day at the beach. The day before our reservation I called the office to amend it and was on hold for half an hour with no answer. We decided to walk to the branch and change the reservation in person. When we arrived there was another couple standing outside the building which was locked. They had made a reservation for that day, but the office was closed with no signs indicating why or for how long. I then got in touch with an agent through online live chat who told me that even though we made our reservation online for the 233rd street branch we would have to pick up our car off of Eastchester road which is miles away. At no point during the reservation process was I alerted to the fact that this branch was closed, nor was there any indication or message to that effect when I called to amend the reservation. This displays an appalling lack of communication and service. Again, we were never told at any point in the process that the branch is closed and our car was actually at a different branch miles away. If we had not decided to change the reservation we would have never known. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional conduct and an egregious lapse in essential communication.

This is the worst enterprise I’ve been to. First of all. Their new sales rep, is clueless. When I went there for a rental they told me initially that I have to pay a fee everyday for being underage, when no enterprise ever told me that before . I called the insurance company that was paying for the rental and all of a sudden it’s ‘okay’. Went back to return the car and suddenly there was a dent on the car that’s apparently my fault. The manager was dirty and rude . All he had to say was that I have to file a claim to get it fixed and he understands what I’m saying. There was no way that small dent was something I did because I would have known. And nobody could have hit the car either because the dent was so unnoticeable. They’re just tryna make you pay for something that was already there . And on top of that. The guy who gave me the rental car initially only checked for scratches so that dent was already there and he did not point it out. Horrible customer service . Dirty ass cars and just straight up disgusting .

Entreprise ruined beautiful long weekend plans. We had a reservation for that location, and showed up there to find a branch that has been closed for months due to COVID. After spending 1 hour trying to get a hold of someone at Enterprise, we were told our reservation had been changed to a different location miles away, and that that location was now closed for the rest of the weekend. No sign on the door said that the location was closed. No one from the company cared to indicate on Google maps that the location had been closed since March due to COVID. The person we talked to at headquarters proceeded to send us to the La Guardia Branch, in a different borough. When we got there, we were told that they had no car available. They also told us point blank that they were not picking up the phone because they were « too busy ». One employee was idling away on her phone and the other three were not busy at all. We were the only clients there. Entreprise obviously couldn’t care less about their customers.

I left here not too long ago and I promise i will never return nor refer anyone to come to this location! A guy by the name of “ Jesus “ i believe, was processing a transaction with my credit card ( which he didn’t inform me of) and didn’t inform me of how much the transaction was. All he kept saying was, “ this card doesn’t work” . I then asked how much is coming off my card. He says $250, i then let him know that I wasn’t informed of that and he says,” well Geico should’ve informed you.” IF YOUR PROCESSING A TRANSACTION, YOU INFORM THE PERSON(S) of how much the total is. Not only that, but they processed the transaction and i didn’t even get a car! They didn’t tell me i was going to have to come out of pocket until AFTER they charged my card. So after I mentioned how bad of communication skills they have, i told them i want to cancel and get my money back. Long story short, “Corey” (very sarcastic) and “Jesus” should improve on their customer service skills.

My, my ... how times have changed. I have been with Enterprise for years and never had an issue even when I was given dirty cars or rentals that smelled of marijuana throughout. I recently dealt with a new manager named “Jay” who basically scammed me at the 233rd St location. The whole event was surreal as another customer also got involved because I asked him if he happened to be a manager, in which that customer verbally abused, threatened me & Jay allowed the verbal assaults. . As a female, I will never feel safe entering another Enterprise location alone again. I was lucky enough to have my fiancé on the phone the whole time so he heard everything. I have made several complaints to Enterprise & the story above barely scratches the surface on what “really” happened.. I have also asked for Enterprise to pull the video surveillance for that day & have been ignored repeatedly. Enterprise, do better training please!

I was looking to rent a car and research a few places. This one gave me the better price for the same amount of days. When I arrived to the place the staff was very nice. I waited a few minutes for the car, they were washing it. They went around the car with me to give the opportunity to make sure there were not scratches. I was offer a insurance just in case anything happened for around an extra $150 or something like that for 3 days. So I ended up paying almost 300 for 3days including the insurance. I just didn't like the fact that they gave me the tank almost empty and I gave it back almost full and they don't an option to give that money back. But if I have to rent again I will go there again.

Terrible! If I could give it NO STAR I would but it doesn't allow it. This is the worst enterprise location. Do not use. They came an hour and a half late. I was late to work. Received no apology or reason. They knew to expect me 4 days advance and were not ready withthevehickr. The people at the office didn't have a clue. They were u organized and the insurance and my myself were shocked at how unprofessional they were. They were provided with my info well in advance and did not call to notify me they would be late, let alone an hour and a half late!!!! Never again! I will be calling Hertz next time. They are cheaper and much more reliable and professional!

I am a loyal customer to enterprise. I love the fact that as you rent along the way you gain points and those points can be used towards a FREE rental day or so. Also I appreciate the free upgrades when the car you reserved is unavailable... The down side of the enterprise where I rent from they are short staffed to answer the phone and I lose out on free pick ups but get free drop off ... Last but not least enterprise need to come up with a better deposit rate cause $250 is more on the high end even though I'm one who rent long and my deposit do cover the extra days. I rate enterprise 4/5 stars

Do not rent from here. Their tax rates are NYC rates and you will have to come out of pocket for your rental even though you have rental insurance. No one explained this to me. If they would have I would have went to another enterprise in the next town over who has lower rates. I rented the most basic car available chevy Malibu, and still had to pay a significant amount out of pocket. A few months ago I went to an enterprise in CT and rented a brand new 2016 Maxima and paid nothing out of pocket and was actually put into a vehicle equivalent to my car. I'm very displeased and will not be going back there.

I was put in a rental because someone hit my car and their insurance was paying for the repairs. I got a car that is disgusting. my own car doesn't even look like this. the back seats are stained! the seat belts in the back don't even look like they were wiped down they still have some substance on them. there are no floor mats! there's dirt everywhere. and as soon as I drive off the tire pressure sensor goes off like this car has not been checked in a while and it was just barely cleaned. it's unacceptable. they get 2 stars because Staff was nice and timely, but the condition of the car is disgusting

Terrible customer service in general. They do not communicate well with insurance so my credit card was charged for the price of the rental, even though my insurance set it up and agreed to pay. Without confirming anything they withdraw $600 in increments of $100, and then charged an extra $100, on top of my total. They will charge your account what they choose, when they choose. This particular location always makes a difficult situation worse because staff really couldnt care any less about your frustration. All of this BEFORE the rental was even returned. Go anywhere else

Beyond upset with the incompetence and rudeness of this place. We did everything we could to avoid confusion by calling a few days before to ensure that they had a vehicle and that they would accept our form of payment to then be told the day of that my money cannot be taken. At first they denied anyone at that office was called by my mother but once she left the facility, the same guy all of a sudden decided to remember that he did take the call and then proceeded to call my mother a liar. I was sent by my insurance to this place I was under the impression insurance would cover charges for car I added insurance from enterprise after a month with car there telling me I have a bill of 2,300 so geico only pays 30 a day enterprise lowest rate is 45 a day for smallest car so instead of giving me a small car to cut cost they put me in a mid size car because they had no small car.. so I payed 1200 out of pocket as nd geico pay 900...very disappointed in entire transaction. Would never go to enterprise again.or geico...very sloppy

Oh my god I've been dealing with Enterprise.. company for The last 5 years.. and experience that I had and 233rd.. it was one of the worst experience in my life..they made me feel like I wasn't welcome like my business wasn't any good.. and especially coming from the manager.. And the sad thing about it is that the vehicle that I wanted.. turn right when I went to return the car that I rented there..back I noticed she was driving home

At first I wasn't too happy due to some mis-information I received before arriving to the rental office. I had to return home and get some additional paperwork in order to qualify for the rental using my debit card. The staff was patient with me while I struggled to access an e-bill on my phone. Once I accessed it, things went smoothly and quickly. I was given 2 additional offers due to the delays and enjoyed the rental for the entire weekend. I will definitely use this location again in the future.

We made a reservation for this location and when we arrived the doors were locked. When we called customer service they told us that the branch was closed and that our reservation was changed to a different location. At no point we received a notification letting us know of this change. The location that it was changed to is now past opening hours. Now the only branch open with cars available is in La Guardia airport with rates that are 4 times our original rate. Never using enterprise again.

Like so many drivers in NYC, the catalytic converter on my car was stolen so I had to rent a vehicle. I went with Enterprise since my insurance carrier offers a rental car allowance of $30 a day. I opted for the budget-priced economy car but I was upgraded to a intermediate vehicle. The level of service I received from Lu, the assistant manager, was outstanding. I will definitely be using them again when I am in need of a rental car.

I thought Ben was a good guy. He kept his head and remained professional inspite of the hard time he was given by a (clearly miserable) customer. The only complaint I have is paying almost $500 for 4 days on a COMPACT vehicle that I had for 4 days. The vehicle had missing sun viser, burn hole, nor was it very clean. I was in a situation so I settled. Won't be settling on ENTERPRISE anymore! They bent me over!

I love the staff, they were very helpful. I guess they had ran out of cars and the young ladies drove us to where they had more cars for us. We got a free upgrade. It was quick and easy. There was a guy with us and he was being a big a--hole. I was happy the young ladies were very professional even with him being so ignorant. Staff needs training on greeting interacting with customers. No one welcomed their customers. You are met outside in the garage to conduct business. Customers are not allowed in the office. The garage stinks to high heaven of cat urine. The rental smelled of cat urine. Prices are high. Will have to try elsewhere. No customer courtesy

Service was prompt and courteous, but I had to wait over an hour to get my car. Although I reserved a compact, I received a crossover, which was difficult for my wife to get into. Getting "upgraded" like this is unfortunately quite common. I tried to get another car, but nothing smaller was available.

Staff is friendly. Storefront is clean including the restroom. No trouble getting a pick up or a lift home. Cars are usually well cleaned but the last one I had still had stuff from the previous user in it. Enterprise has an easy to use website to make reservations. Prices aren't bad.

$50 a day up to 30 days is what GEICO covers my car rental. I was told that not one vehicle will cover my rental, That I have to pay out of pocket. Yeah, ok!! Skip this place!!
