The car was great, and my initial pick up was great. I had the perfect interaction with Erika. They were running a tad bit behind, but who cares, Erika went above and beyond to accommodate me and provide me with excellent customer service. The world isn’t perfect. Customers don’t expect perfection. We just want to feel warmly greeted, seen, acknowledged, and assisted. We simply want customer service. My five star review is for Erika. You’re killing it! Now as for my drop off….. I believe her name was Destiny (she was tall, brown skin, wore glasses, must be new. I hadn’t seen her before and I rent from this location regularly). Destiny was the worst! Curt, unfriendly, preoccupied, impatient, rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. She does not represent what I know enterprise customer service to be. She did the exact opposite of the things I listed customers want. There was not a customer a head of me, but 5 minutes went by before Destiny said a word to me. When I first pulled in to drop the car off, she was sitting in another rental. I’m sure she was in the middle of something, but I still expected her to say something like (hi sir, welcome back. I’ll be with you shortly). She said nothing. She sat in the car for 3 minutes, then walked back inside the trailer. I followed behind her like a lost puppy. After 2 minutes inside, she finally said “hold on, here I come.” Still never said hello, or asked how was the car; nothing. And when she finally finished what she was doing. She asked “are you in the charger?” I said yes. She said “give me the keys”. I thought, (Okay, attitude much) Then I told her 3 times that I wanted to change my method of payment. She ignored me until the last time she finally responded, but with a nasty attitude said “I’m still doing the walk around.” I said, okay, well I wanted to make sure. Then to myself (Like dude, you never confirmed that you heard me.) From that point on I totally shut down, and totally went gray rock. I asked her name. She said Destiny; then she told me to expect an email receipt. Then I got out of dodge before I snapped on her. Horrible service! Why work in the service industry? You clearly don’t like working with people. Ugh! Go away! You’re stinking up the morale. She does not live up to the enterprise standard at all!

Thinking that the office was less than 3miles from San Francisco airport, we reserved a vehicle which we had planned to pick up on our arrival from Indianapolis, and then drive to meet up with friends at Lake Tahoe. Shortly before our flight, we discovered that this great deal we had found (less than $20/day) was due to the office being some distance from the airport, but it was only a mile walk from a friend’s house, so would make returning car much easier. We were due to pick up the car at 11pm, but our flight was delayed. After getting off the BART somewhere downtown, around 11:50am, we thought we’d best call and let them know we were on our way. They told us that with it being Saturday, they close at 12, but would remain open until we got there. We spent some time looking for the bus that would get us to the rental office. The office was still open when we eventually arrived there at 12:30. Despite them clearly having a bit of a hectic day, they were polite, courteous, patient and most helpful with their customers. One of the drama’s they were dealing with, the person who had previously rented our car, had taken the keys with him. We had reserved a compact, but had to take what they had, which was a GMC Yukon. Sure it was not exactly what we were hoping for, but we were delighted to have anything from the kind folks at Enterprise rent a car office at 4250 Geary Blvd, San Francisco. These people were willing to stay open long beyond closing time to satisfy their customers. Excellent!

I had the worst experience at the enterprise in Richmond District at 4250 Geary Blvd with Taylor Downing the branch manager. He made my visit to this location awful. My partner had taken a train and two buses to go a hour and a half to San Francisco to pick up a car while his car was in the shop being repaired, me and my partner are both on the insurance policy’s and bank cards, because we are not legally married Taylor refused to help my partner proceed in renting the car even though we called ahead and clarified what we needed. I they had to leave work drive a hour in a half to the city because Taylor said I needed to swipe my card in person even though my partner has the exact same card. Taylor didn’t want to help me keeping himself busy with busy work until I asked him for his manager above him, he told me no “he was the manager” and would be able to provide that information unless it went through him first. After he repeatedly asked my why I wanted it, I decided after him telling he refuses to just let me talk to someone above him I would find help other ways and hopefully bring to someone’s attention Taylor is running a circus and is on a power trip. I would recommend going here save yourself the headache from lousy management.

Friendly, efficient service, plus the convenience of having a location in my neighborhood. This is my go-to car rental place. I've rented here probably 6 or 8 times, and never had a problem. Will definitely keep coming back, and recommend this place without hesitation. Recent update: even stronger endorsement. My car was being repaired and I needed a pickup from the repair shop on a Saturday. Hertz was the original choice of the insurance company paying for the repairs, but they could not be bothered to pick me up on a Saturday. I called the insurance company and they switched the reservation to Enterprise, who came through as always. Picked me up at the repair shop within minutes of my call, and took me to their rental lot, where I picked up my rental car with the usual great customer service. This continues to be my go-to car rental service. Highly recommended.

A family thing came up and I had to leave town in a rush. I went online and saw the deals enterprise had. The offer was for one week for 280$. I called my nearest office to see if they had anything better. They did not. They wanted to charge me 80$ a day. I said it was too expensive and hung up to look online again. The gentleman called me back and said he could honor that deal. I thought "great 280 divided by 7days of the week, that's 40$ a day, perfect. I'm in a rush and this works" I got to the place And get a car take my trip I come back five days later, fill the tank with gas and drop it off. I was in a rush, (city living) I get home and saw I was charged over 380!!! I feel robbed. I should have only payed 200$ for the rental plus the insurance. I took the clerks word and got robbed. I don't even know who to contact since there was only a verbal agreement.

*UPDATE: We got $20 off because of the upgrade. Was about to give two stars more before looking at the bill and we were charged $68 per day for the rental instead of the $60 we agreed on. Came in and put an order for a car to be picked up the next day. No returns on Sundays so we had to pay for an extra day. The guy on the first day was really nice and gave a good discount. He promised that we wouldn't be given a particularly small car (economy). The next day there was a woman there that had us pay extra $ to "upgrade" our car to compact. Also, there was several hidden costs, raising the expected rental price from $124 to $198. The dashboard light stopped working on the second day making the entertainment system useless. Will not be coming back here.

All the Rent-A-Car places are pretty much the same as far as the car . they offer compact luxury and what not . but Enterprise has them beat on one good thing they do. They'll pick you up which is good if you don't have a car which could be the case cuz you're renting a car. I have rented from Enterprise a few times they usually have a good amount of cars to choose from and the staff are always and knowledgeable. No matter what they say take a look at the car and write down every little Ding and chip on the Windows . cuz depending on who you get when you return it. they can't charge you for those. keep this in mind. But I find Enterprise is better than Avis or some of those other ones . the cars are top-notch and well taken care of.

Had reservation, but the vehicle is not ready. Had to be transported to another location for the rental we need. Went to this location at 730am, we waited for almost an hour, then we were told that either take the one of the two beat up Van or there is no definite time when we will get the car we reserved. There was a two hours delay for the pick up, and I was surprised with the additional three hours charge when I check the online receipt, I returned the car as the time picked up. Called the customer care, they can’t do anything, because the location logged returning time at 1232pm. I had to change it to one star. Will not use again for my future trip. Rather go to a farther location for a guaranteed reservation.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Had reserved my car online a month before arriving in San Francisco. When we went to pick it up they told us that I hadn't made a reservation till that morning and that they would need a pay stub to confirm credit because they couldn't take our debit card. Never was told any of this prior when I had called to confirm the booking or when I initially booked. The guy told us we could got to Hertz rent a car. Didn't even try to help us. The absolute worst experience I've had with a rental car place. Because we couldn't get a car it put a damper on the rest of our trip seeing as we had to take and uber everywhere we went. Just terrible.

I was relocating from San Francisco to seattle a few weeks ago. Being one of the list stressful things someone can go though, I was dreading having to deal with renting a car. Well, the friends at the pick up location were helpful, kind, understanding and went out of their way to make the rental (and the starts of my moving) something easy and fast. They were quick to help yet thorough and they were always carrying a smile. They truly helped me not only in a practical way (minivan) but with the positive attitude and empathy (stressing out about packing and leaving the city is bad enough as it is). I felt lucky to rent from this guys!

First time coming here without reservation to get a rental after my Audi was stolen last week. My first experience was overall pleasant. Makayla was great, professional and super helpful! I wanted an Audi because I’m nervous driving other vehicle other than Audi, but none is available. Makayla reassured me they would call me if one becomes available. Ended up with Nissan Altima and I got used to it in no time. The car is clean and there’s disinfectant wipes available in the car which is really appreciated. Thank you Makayla and keep up the great work!

My partner were looking to rent a car for 6 days, we were told that it would be cheaper to go ahead and rent for 7 days because of a discount that applied when you rent for a week. They booked the car for a day earlier than we had asked instead of an extra day at the end of when we needed it.. So, when we went to go get our car we were "a day late" and there were NO OTHER CARS AVAILABLE in the entire San Francisco area apparently..... We had to book a car through a whole new service and show up hours late to our destination..

I use enterprise rental cars 10-15 times a year for both business and personal use. I predominantly rent from the location on Geary and 7th Ave in San Francisco. I have experienced a wide range of customer service from enterprise overall but the folks at Geary and 7th are top notch! There have been a few teams there in the years I've been coming and all are great. So much easier than most rental car places I go too. Plus the discount for no profits is a nice touch.

Natassia and David are the best. They truly care to help you and want to give you the best customer service. I was a little bit flip flopping because I wasn't sure exactly when I would return the car, and they were super patient and both very lovely. Good location for access to Golden Gate Bridge and onwards to wine country. However, expect some delay getting in and out of the lot as it is small and located on a busy street. When we returned the car, there were multiple rental cars blocking the entrance and on the street. It can be difficult to maneuver. The car was not as clean but as expected for a quick turnaround at this location.

Not much here but a small lot of cars and a bungalo style office. Sometimes you will have good luck with a decent vehicle selection, other times not so much. Very friendly and efficient staff, in fact they recently won a regional (internal) award for best customer service (and profitability) out of all Enterprise branches in Northern California (they are one of the smallest branches too).

This location is small and often doesn't have the type of car you reserve. There is just one way in and out of lot, so it gets congested, especially when they are cleaning a car. Once, a car I picked up here wasn't cleaned well. The staff is nice but limited, so things can be slow. I prefer to drop off at this location because they offer rides to drop you off at a nearby location.

Updating my earlier review, which was low, due mostly to policy and procedure matters, not front-line people, who tend to be great at this location, the earlier and current requirement of bringing in a current utility bill etc seems unnecessary and a waste of all of our time, on my latest rental Danny was exceptional and I will continue to rent with them as they are near my house

Horrible experience and horrible customer service. First off, the manager discriminated against my husband because of his thick accent. He was extremely rude. Second, the team is not knowledge about Enterprise policies and rules. Make sure you know your rights and have thoroughly read the Enterprise policy before as the manager at this location has not. Would not recommend !

Enterprise's agent gave us a choice of cars, and demonstrated unfamiliar features of our 2017 choice. When we returned with it 3 days later, we watched the same agent providing very helpful service and guidance to a disabled young veteran who had come to San Francisco for surgery at the VA hospital, and now needed a car to get back to his home in Turlock.

Picked up car on June 19. Interior of the car was not cleaned: q-tip in pocket of passenger door, cheerios and paper left in back passenger area, and generally dirty. Agent failed to look under the car for dings and dents and missed seeing a piece of torn rubber. We were charged for this when it was found when we returned the car. Not our doing!

The staff was very friendly. The wait time was short and efficient. They were able to update my reservation to accommodate an insurance claim that I had trouble inputting online. On top of being efficient, knowledgeable and upbeat, they offered me a free upgrade. It was a refreshing experience from past car rentals I’ve had.

If i book a car at 10am it is not to have it after 11am. The booking system does not mean anything. You may have one or not. This is absolutely ridiculous and is considering that you are flexible while they should be flexible. I had an appointment to go to the afternoon and could not make it on time.

Good deals are available here. Be sure to ask for the free pickup and drop service thoughtfully provided by management. This will certainly help you reach the next place of visit in Seattle since this place is further from the town hub and therefore the cable car or electric bus does not service it.

The manager at this location has the worst customer service ever. Did nothing to help a GEICO insurance customer with a reservation booked. 0 accommodations in any sort of way. I recommend that you never do business with this establishment because the manager has terrible customer service.

I rented elsewhere but returned here on a very busy day. Staff were so friendly and clearly hardworking. Even though I had to wait a bit, it went quickly for the amount of people/vehicles, and because they were so nice and acknowledged us and the time, it was a good experience.

The 2 keys I received were both on one keyring that didn't open. So, you could lose BOTH KEYS in one fell swoop. Was also told they would drive me to my autobody shop, but couldn't do so as there was only one person there I did like the car. I liked the ease in and out.

500 miles away from home in a rental that just got vandalized and they couldn't help with a car switch. Got the run around from them, customer service and from road side assistance for 4 hours. If there was a negative start I would definitely give them a -10.

After, trying to get my rental car, over an hour. The so call “manger” Taylor Dowing was very unprofessional and unhelpful. We requested to speak with upper management. He told us that he’s pretty high up there. Very cocky attitude. The car was dirty!

Friendly customer service. Everything went smoothly, although it wasnt busy when I was there. Since it is in the city, the parking lot is very crowded so just need to be careful getting your car in and out.

Very little stock available. All focused on online booking. Very basic lot, no frills, focused on getting you out on higher end cars which was not what I wanted. Eventually got the car I preferred.
