Miss Erica knows what she’s doing in the kitchen!! Plus she’s a super nice and hardworking lady who deserves your support! There’s not a lot of soul food options in Portland and it’s so nice to have a taste of home. You have to try the boiled peanuts if you’ve never had any.. so good!

  • Kamaile Rayne

Was going into Portland to look for a place to eat & was excited to try it. Food was good however, you met my mom with a nasty demeanor & she was nothing but calm and nice. We were excited to support a local female business & she even tipped despite your rudeness.

Erica's is the best. Don't hesitate to try! I would definitely recommend the plates with sides, but if you're on a budget, the bowls are so fiiine! I've had just about everything on the menu and I love it all! Don't shy away from the boiled peanuts or cake <3

  • Timothy Jackson

Great little food pod she sits in . The wings were very good but small. Fries seasoning was a little too salty for my liking but the ketchup helped . Greens were well cooked and seasoned well. Looking forward to trying more of her dishes in the future.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place and was blown away! The food was sooo good! I had shrimp and grits and it was the best I'd ever had. I meant to go back and tell Erica thanks, but got lost in my meal and forgot. Thank you, Erica! I'll be back!

Simply spectacular. I have stopped by a number of times over the last few weeks and always been impressed with the food that i have gotten. Whether it's wings, a burger(dads or salmon) or a chicken and rice entree it has all been delicious.

  • Mariia Ktitorova

One of the most disappointing experiences in Portland. Not sure who Erica is, but a young guy was cooking for us. Order took 1 hour and 30 min. People before us simply left because they could not wait for the order of fries for more than an

That kinda food that makes you miss your momma. You can taste the love she puts into everything she makes. Each time I get a plate from Erica I'm as full as possible but still have energy to exist and do things. Filling but not debilitating

  • Sam Pletcher

I got the ATL (wet lemon pepper) wings for the first time ever last week and they were so incredibly tasty that I couldn’t get my mind off of them the whole rest of the week, even while I was on a trip out of state and including eating food

I am from the south and miss the food so much. So when I found Ericas food cart I had to try it. She did NOT disappoint! Cornbread slightly sweet and moist. Greens perfectly seasoned. Catfish mouth watering good. Tip: don’t wait until she’s

  • Juliana Bañuelos

We have stopped by this food cart a few times now and are always so impressed with the quality of the food, how quickly our order is filled and how kind our host is! Make sure to try the Pretty Ricky Burger and the Smothered Chicken entree

  • Allison Taylor

Erica's is one of my favorite places to eat in PDX. Have followed her cart to several locations now, and the food has always been top-notch. There is nowhere else I know of that offers some of these homemade dishes. My go-to is the salmon

  • J Troopa

Erica’s Soul Food is by far one of the best carts in town. Run by a community-centered Black woman and all around badass human. The food is mouth watering, but the kindness and love exuded by Erica will leave you wanting to come back. She

BEST vegan wings you’ll have in Portland. Other Portland vegan wing spots have poor morales which ruins the taste. You don’t have to ever worry about that here with Erica. Shes real and it shows in how comforting and delicious her food is.

  • Antoinette Foster

I love Erica’s. I’ve been coming here to get my southern food fix for years. I first met Erica in Portland as she is a very active community member and a very genuinely kind and caring person. Then I got to enjoy her delicious food on top

  • Sean Jaqua

Got the wings & fries, and burger & tots on a Friday night. No line, fresh prepared. Burger was decent, but a little salty. Wings were tasty, lemony, and a little salty. Fries were pretty salty and tasted like they were cooked in day-old

  • matthew royer

Went to get salmon croquettes and collard greens both which they did not have along with over half the menu. Ended up ordering the meatloaf, Mac and cheese, and tots. Food took 90 minutes to come out and when it did at best was mediocre,

I was feeling kind of sick/weird in my body yesterday, went to Erica's for lunch, and felt FANTASTIC the rest of the day. Not to mention the lunch was just outrageously delicious. This place is really special. Erica puts love in the food

  • Dylan Dougherty

Was so happy to finally make it over to Erica’s for lunch! I had the Fried Catfish sandwich with fries and everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked despite the amount of orders. She also gave a drink recommendation from next door to

  • Timisha Wilson

Definitely can feel the love cooked into this food. Was able to enjoy her food at a local event and it was every bit worth the wait. Can’t wait to try her out again, I hope I run into her catering again. Very good. We had flavored rice,

I have been enjoying Erica’s wonderful food since the beginning of the year. She was kind enough to prepare lunch for my entire office, which we all appreciated. Everyone chose something different, but we all were more than satisfied.

  • Andi Smith

I’m from Atlanta and have had a lot of boiled peanuts and Erica’s are the best I’ve ever had anywhere, no doubt about it. They’re spicy and they have rich, umami filled, salty pot liquor. Erica’s only southern restaurant I know of in

  • Lori Witzel

I’ve been reading raves and hearing all the positives about Erica’s Soul Food, and I finally stopped by. OMG all y’all her food is SO tasty and you can tell it’s been cooked with love. I had smothered chicken and collards and stewed

Great food and nice owner. We came on a Saturday and she was very busy so you might have to wait a minute. Her vegan options were just as good as the non vegan options which is rare. Fantastic spot highly recommend.

  • John Archuleta

First time having authentic sould food! We had the lamb chops mashed potatoes and green beans, cheese grits, and fried chicken and sweet potato waffles. Definitely a must have if you are in the Portland area

  • Stephanie A

I love Erica's! The wings are awesome, and the chef is always thoughtful of special dietary needs and has vegan and vegetarian people in mind. The boiled peanuts! Do yourself a favor and eat here!

  • Marshal Turner

Been awhile since I’ve had fried catfish like this. 10/10, gonna come back. Lil pricey but worth it. Wings left a little to be deserved when it comes to size/meat but the flavor was great.

  • Mary Kay Petersen

Soul food with soul for those with food allergies (GF) and veg/vegan options. Had smothered tofu w 2 sides. Took left over collard greens and stewed cabbage made a morning scramble.

  • Alicia Roberts

Erica’s good is SO SO SO GOOD!!! As a person, she cares for her community & shows up. As a chef, she’s top tier. Currently operating with Worker’s Tap bar. Obsessed. Iconic pair.
