I am regular client of this fantastic cafe where you can not only enjoy great coffee or food but also get some work done. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and ample natural light. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, creating the perfect environment for productivity. The coffee menu is extensive, offering a wide range of options from espresso to specialty lattes. What sets this cafe apart is the provision of a designated workspace with charging outlets and reliable Wi-Fi. It's an ideal spot for remote work or studying. The background music is pleasant and not too distracting, adding to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure I have everything I need. The food menu is also impressive, with a variety of sandwiches, eggs (in various forms), salads, jackets, and pastries to keep you fueled throughout the day. Overall, this cafe is a perfect blend of a conducive work environment and excellent coffee. Whether you're looking to focus on your tasks or simply enjoy a leisurely coffee, it's a top-notch choice! :)

Went on a Sunday morning. Staff member making the drinks was unfriendly. She got drinks order wrong, forgot one drink and then made one wrong. All drinks were lukewarm so had to drink quickly before they went cold. Food portions are small. Ordered a full English but half the plate was cold, the other half wasn’t very tasty. Overall, disappointed as usually enjoy Esquires (the other location) Gave 2 stars, mostly for the nice ambience and seating, and the new white choc hot choc was tasty. Not sure we’ll visit again.
Coffee and Cake Time Nice little coffee shop. Plenty choice of coffees and teas and lunch time snacks. Presented well by nice friendly staff. Food was lovely nice and fresh and presented well. Seems a busy place too which is nice. The manager goes out of his way to make every thing perfect that’s the reason I keep going back The location is brilliant just over the road from John Lewis Recommended to all
Always close upstairs early for "cleaning" literally hours before closing. Refused to allow me to go upstairs 3 hours before the cafe closed and on another occasion was made to come downstairs almost 2 hours before closing. The seats downstairs is more of a shared space and a completely different atmosphere, just uncomfortable. So frustrating!!!

Unfortunately the coffee and all hot drinks are always luke warm!! Everytime which is annoying and frankly a waste of money. I don’t know why this is the case, but it seems other reviewers have noticed the same. The Vege/vegan breakfast is mediocre and highly priced. Desserts are nice though, a great looking interior and choice of seasonal drinks.
The staff were friendly and there is a nice relaxing upstairs area to sit whilst eating to watch the traffic outside. I had a tasty vegan sausage roll and jacket potato with avocado etc. My criticism would be that they need more vegan options, e.g. vegan sandwiches in the fridge, and vegan pastries/cakes. Otherwise, a nice place!
Good coffee and professional staff... haven’t sampled any food, stuck to caffeine on my visits, but looks good. No one (staff or customers) wearing masks on my visits and they could be stricter with customers on this, but appreciate the challenge of enforcing that so not factoring in the review.
As I waited to be served, I watched the employee roll up his cigarette and had his back to me. I was disgusted watching him lick it, ew. The same worker was in the kitchen washing, when he knew I was there he muttered under his breath as he came over to serve. Overall a bad attitude.
It was a nice place to have a brunch with my friend. We both ordered the full English which was delicious! I have also ordered the daim slice cake which was exquisite ! And the chai latte did not disappoint Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Great place to go if you want to be frustrated. Food and service of highly inconsistent quality. The free Wi-Fi DOES NOT WORK! Which is really ironic and also misleading given the amount of remote working infrastructure they have…
They had a good Daim cake slice. Staff were impolite and ordered me to stay outside if I have no mask. I understand the rules but you could say please next time. Moreover, none of the 8 customers I saw had a mask on.
Nice place, very well decorated, and very comfortable. The coffee is good but the pastries offers at the time we went there were very low. It would be complicated to go there to meet a group
I don't mind spending a little bit more if the extra I pay provides good value. This I believe was that. Good food, good choice and excellent service. My party and I left very happy.
Waited 25 minutes for a bacon bap which had 3 of the thinnest strips of bacon I’ve ever had in a take away bap. Essentially they forgot my order. £5.50 badly spent ☹️
Lovely coffee, lovely coffee house.

Coffee was a bit dark for my preference but tasty anyway. We also had some nice cakes and milkshakes for the kids which were expensive but greatly enjoyed!
Beautiful place and the vegan sausage rolls are fantastic. Coffee also spot on. People taking the orders and making the stuff also very nice.
Wonderful vibe and location. Great for studying, lots of sockets for laptops. Interior is lovely. Decent options for coffee, cakes and food.
Amazing coffee, delicious food and what's the most important - great customer service! My favourite coffee shop in Leicester ❤
Fantastic lunch! , Tried the new Tirimisu frappe accompanied with goat and spinach tart and Turkey cheese sandwiches. …
Very friendly polite staff on the tills. Upstairs was clean and tidy too withba nice ambience reminiscent of Cafe Nero.
Nice coffee shop across the road from John Lewis. A welcome change from Costa Coffee and Starbucks. Friendly staff.
My favourite coffee shop in Leicester. So many little touches that make the food, coffee and experience enjoyable.
Great café - good location, great coffee and the staff was super nice! Will definitively return
Went especially for Turkish eggs but was told they couldn't make them, had eggs royale instead.
Amazing coffee, I would say best in Leicester! Very friendly staff! Can definitely recommend
