Great Experience at EBS Barcelona Bartending School! I recently had the pleasure of attending EBS Barcelona Bartending School and overall, it was an amazing experience. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to learn the art of bartending. Let's start with the positives. First and foremost, the teacher was absolutely fantastic Esmeralda, Kenneth, Matteo, Marcel, Miguel and Filipe! Their knowledge and expertise in the field of bartending were evident, and they made the learning process enjoyable and engaging. I had a lot of fun during the classes, which created a positive and dynamic learning environment. Furthermore, the people at EBS Barcelona were truly amazing. I met some wonderful classmates from diverse backgrounds, and we formed a tight-knit community throughout the course. The camaraderie and support among the students were truly remarkable, making the experience even more memorable. The location of the school was perfect. Situated in a vibrant and accessible area, it was convenient to reach and provided a great atmosphere for learning. Being in the heart of Barcelona added an extra touch of excitement to the overall experience. However, there were a few drawbacks that I encountered during my time at EBS Barcelona. Firstly, during the contest, there was the judges seemed more interested in indulging in ice cream rather than focusing on the drinks being judged. It was a bit off-putting and made me question their professionalism. Additionally, the temperature variations among the different rooms were noticeable. Some of the air conditioning units were not functioning properly, resulting in rooms being either too hot or too cold. This made it challenging to maintain a comfortable environment throughout the classes which made a lot of us fallen sick. Moreover, my classmates mentioned that the hostel at Montsio was not the best experience. The mattresses were thin, and the room was quite cold. The food provided was pre-cooked, requiring us to warm it up ourselves. However, I found it more convenient and enjoyable to cook my own meals, which turned out to be cheaper and tastier. Despite these minor issues, I still believe that EBS Barcelona Bartending School offers an exceptional learning experience. The incredible teacher, enjoyable atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet fantastic people far outweigh any shortcomings. I'm grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained during my time there, and I would definitely recommend this school to anyone passionate about bartending. There's a reason EBS Barcelona have more followers than any other EBS on instagram, and that is because they go above and beyond to immerse their students in the cocktail culture of one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Having Alessio from Paradiso (#3 in 50best bars in the world) teach a masterclass on cocktail creativity was a definite highlight. The relationship of the school with some of the most amazing bars (Bar Sauvage, Farola, Creps al born etc) and bartenders in the world means that in bars across the city, you are welcomed as an EBS student to learn outside of school hours. I completed my International Bartender Course in August 2021, and my only regret is not booking the advanced bartending course for September. Amidst Covid concerns, the school kept us safe in classes and in our accommodation - which I was immensely grateful for. The instructors were inspiring. Sarah Flandy encouraged me to strive further in every aspect of the course, helping me graduate with an A. Ezio Canetti - who was well aware of how stressful I found flair - made sure I was able to complete my routine with ease and encouraged me to keep at it, even though I am unlikely to revisit flair bartending professionally for a few years. Ezio planned amazing events and taught us about the art of cocktail construction for our cocktail competition - (where Gianluca from Paradiso was a guest judge!) The food at school was prepared by the lovely Jordi, was inexpensive and delicious. Though my favourite part of mealtime was chatting to Jordi and my course-mates. All in all, I forged lifelong friendships, fell in love with Barcelona and fell in love with bartending to the point that I am tempted to leave University to bartend professionally full-time. There is no better way to spend 4 weeks than at EBS Barcelona - I wish I could relive it and know I'll be back to visit!

C'était la meilleure expérience de toute ma vie, et de loin, une école avec tout le nécessaire pour apprendre à devenir un bon bartender! Bien sur c'est du travail et je m'en doutais avant de venir mais je ne m'attendais pas à autant et j'ai du doubler mes efforts pour avoir mon examen ! Ce ne sont pas des vacances et même si la vie à Barcelone et toutes les activités proposés sont attractive il faut savoir travailler en même temps à coté ! Au niveau du logement pour le prix il ne faut pas s'attendre à du grands luxe et les petits défauts sont très vite effacé grâce à la vie en communauté et au mélange entre tout le monde qui permets totalement d'oublier les petits problèmes! Pour finir et le plus important, les instructeurs sont des gens géniaux , Mathilde était la pour aider et savait nous encourager même quand ça allait pas, elle a su me motiver pour avoir un diplôme ! Timo le Flair master, qui a su me donner réellement l'envie d'apprendre a en faire le plus possible et tous les autres toujours avec le sourire ! En bref je le conseil a tous !!

I went to EBS Barcelona in the summer of 2016. While we learned a lot of cocktails, I thought some of the teachers were not being professional. It is a lot more studying than it seems online, so if you just want to relax for a month, I would not recommend EBS. The most frustrating would probably be that people who showed up every day and studied a ton failed the exam at the end, while others who came to class hungover and/or skipped many days of class and had a thing with the instructors passed in the end. In fact, in my course almost have of the people did not get a crtificate. Also, the cost of the place of living is the same for everyone although the two places offered are not worth the same. While I was lucky and stayed at the TOC hostel, with an air-conditioned room, clean showers, cleaning service and a rooftop pool, the others had to stay in a run-down apartment. In the summer it was really humid and felt like 40 degrees celcius in there. And all they had were two mini fans for all the people staying there.

Ça fait maintenant 5 ans que j'ai eu ma formation Avec du recul c'est une bonne école pour apprendre les bases du métier ( recette cocktail + savoir créer un cocktail ) Cependant je trouve que le reste es superficielle . La première fois que je suis arrivé dans un bar en contrat et qu'on m'a dit de servir une pression ou de faire fonctionner le lave vaisselle , je ne savais tout simplement pas faire . On nous a jamais appris ça a l'école pourtant c'est ça le réel métier de barman Aucune pratique du plateau également Conclusion : formation bien pour la théorie et la pratique derrière le bar , mais pas dutout formatrice pour travailler dans les conditions réel d'un bar Le reste s'apprend sur le terrain École cher également pour la formation obtenu Si vous allez travailler dans des vrais établissement, ça ne sert a rien de parler de cette formation , elle n'es pas dutout reconnu voir même déconseillé des barmans expérimentés

Con todo respeto, una real porquería! Cómo pueden prometer un real curso de bartenders si el curso lo dicta cualquiera! Además tienen un pésimo manejo de la comunicación y no dejan que nadie comente nada! LAs fotos que ponen son de rubios o rubias que vienen a España de vacaciones y lo mismo les dá hacer un coctel que andar en patinete. Si pides info por internet no dan los contenidos, así que..qué enseñas? de qué sirve un curso con un niñato que vive con papi y mami? yo quiero aprender a ser un bartender profesional, no pgarme unas vacaciones! ni loco me inscribiría!

I was a student here in 2016 and I absolutely loved every minute with EBS. The course the tutors and the friends i made out there were just incredible I didn’t want to leave ever. EBS has given me so much wisdom, confidence and amazing memories. The school is in a really great location, and the accommodation while your there is in walking distance to the school. Everything is so central and easy accessible too. There are so many ways of getting around walking , metro, cycling and the beach scene is incredible. Go!! What are you waiting for !??

Che dire… che dire … che esperienza!! Ho fatto il corso in italiano con Penny e Alberto , eccezionali! Il corso gli eventi le marsterclass il flair in spiaggia ….. e tutti gli altri dello staff : Ezio Giulia Rudy Marco Felipe e tutti/e ! Una figata . Tutto organizzato benissimo e dalla pochissima esperienza che avevo ora sono pronto a tante nuove avventure lavorative come bartender. Davvero intenso e ben strutturato :) HARD WORK SPIRIT & SOUL ❤️

Rien à dire, tout était super et j’ai beaucoup appris. J’avais pas mal d’appréhension dans le sens où je suis dans le bar depuis des années, j’avais peur de ne rien apprendre. En fait mes bases n’étaient absolument pas les bonnes et maintenant je peux travailler en toute sérénité. Les professeurs sont très pédagogues c’est super! Big Up à Mathilde qui m’a motivée et empêchée de baisser les bras. EBS c’est du fun, mais avant tout du travail. Merci pour cette expérience incroyable ❤️

Was in EBS BARCELONA. The school is working with multiples tourists bar one of them, LAS CUEVAS. One of my friend got harrased and more in this bar by a bartender. ALL OF THE FRENCH TEACHERS KNOW ABOUT IT. They didnt do anything and still took us there. The victim was accused of lying by our main teacher and he told her it was because of her clothes :) there it is. No more comment.

Es una excelente escuela, con gran personal cualificado, admirable equipo. Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable, un mes muy intenso, pero con mucho esfuerzo y dedicación nada es imposible, como nos enseñó nuestro tutor Felipe Garcia “el no puedo no existe”. Si te apasiona el bartending, pero no te sientes a la altura te recomiendo este curso al 100%.

Una experiencia increíble. Lxs profesorxs son unos cracks y lxs compañerxs son inolvidables. Me voy feliz por haber aprendido tanto y haber conocido gente tan increíble pero con nostalgia porque se extrañarán esos días llenos de tensión, alegría y conocimientos. El ambiente en clase es súper divertido, es genial! Las clases son muy dinámicas, no paras de aprender cosas y siempre practicándolo todo. Podéis, POR FAVOR, impedir que los alumnos molesten en la calle por las noches a las 3/6 de la mañana? O que pongan música a todo volumen en su piso de calle montsio? Los vecinos estamos hartos! Vivimos y trabajamos también en esta ciudad, y tenemos derecho al descanso!

Es una excelente escuela, actualmente me capacitó allí, tiene todo lo que necesito para aprender, cada clase es una experiencia nueva y llena de mucho conocimiento, los el curso es bastante intenso pero muy completo, lo recomiendo totalmente.

J’y suis allez en septembre dernier et j’ai été diplômée. Une très grande école très bien placée dans Barcelone avec de très bon professeurs ! ( français anglais italien ). Le logement aussi est très propre. J’y retournerais bien !!!!

The coffee speciality corse is a complete SCAM, they will never teach you what they promise, you’ll be left with a useless diploma and no knowledge. The whole class complained and nobody received a refund

I had a blast making new friends from all över the world. The equipment and activities where great and highly recommend doing this by youeself since it is very easy to make new friends.
