"I went into the store last week and I bought lamb (Ghosh meat), I went back home and my Wife started to cook the Ghosh and the Ghosh didn’t cook at all whatsoever for 4 hours repeatedly"
"not good ,the lady works there always keep poking her nose ( how dirty it is to see someone do that and touch your groceries EWW ) don`t understand a word of spanish or english , wants only their community to come in their location , don`t care about people , they don`t care like other stores like ali alibaba or mustafa groceries care , anyone know another store in stone oak please reply , medical dr is too far and this place have stale and expired products which they proudly display on sale in boxes with ants crawling , piece of garbage location do not go there"
"This place is great for such a small market"
This place lies. 1st thing I called this place at 9:35pm on 12/30/2023. I told the old lady there that I was on my way to pick up 3 boxes of RMD (Manikchand) a type of Indian chewing tobacco. She precisely told me she will close exactly at 10pm if I can make it by then, I sped myself there and when, I got there 9:55pm she already set the alarm and walked out, citing that she had no customers. The old lady charges $32.46 per box times that by 3 its $97.38, almost a $100.00 customer she lost let alone when I told her she started cursing in her native language, which my friend understood and not me. This place is a fraud business food and meat is also not Halal which is my 2nd concern. Stay Away... Go To Shahi Grocery Amjad Bhai is a much better store owner, with fresh items. This place is owned by a man name Rahim aka Jimmy, who is never there and has these people running his business that have no experience running a business. Read the bad reviews save your self and money from this place please.
Today is 3/10/2020. I bought a tub of yogurt a couple of days ago in hopes of using it in some days. The expiry date on the tub says 4/11/2020. I'd kept it refrigerated since the day I bought it, but this morning when I opened it up to use it for the first time, there was a layer of thick white mold on the top of it!! Took it back to have it replaced or money returned. First she tried to deny it saying it wasn't mold, but then she switched gears and all she knew to say is "sorry sir, we don't take dairy back". Told her that I usually don't feel the need to peel off the cover to check quality of products that aren't meant to expire for more than a month, but she kept on droning "sorry sir, we don't take dairy back". Stay away from this place that unapologetically sells under-quality and uninspected grocery and doesn't care to rectify their mishaps when alerted! They certainly lost my business and that of anyone I know that might be considering this sad excuse of a grocery store!
I went into the store last week and I bought lamb (Ghosh meat), I went back home and my Wife started to cook the Ghosh and the Ghosh didn’t cook at all whatsoever for 4 hours repeatedly. And yet it was still really raw. I am highly disappointed in this store, how is the management selling this product without realizing that their meat isn’t cooking. I am thinking that the management is aware of this happening and I’m sure I’m not the only customer experiencing this. This is a disappointment to the Indian community in San Antonio. I will NOT be buying from here ever again and I will only be buying from Ali Baba.
not good ,the lady works there always keep poking her nose ( how dirty it is to see someone do that and touch your groceries EWW ) don`t understand a word of spanish or english , wants only their community to come in their location , don`t care about people , they don`t care like other stores like ali alibaba or mustafa groceries care , anyone know another store in stone oak please reply , medical dr is too far and this place have stale and expired products which they proudly display on sale in boxes with ants crawling , piece of garbage location do not go there
This place is great for such a small market. I usually go to Himalayan Bazaar for all my discounted spices, but I decided to give this place a try. My comparison will be based off that. It has pretty much anything you’d need. Be careful on buying the spices though a few spices are overpriced which is why I’m taking away a star. Such as chili powder, mustard seeds, coriander, etc. Besides that the main takeaway is the selection of vegetables such as ginger, mint, garlic. So great. Great prices. I like this place!
Just be cautious while buying the items, check the expired date, we did buy some and didn't check the exp date before buying, but when my spouse saw it before she opened the packet. It was expired couple of months ago. Especially kids products they have to be attentive. They are little expensive but its good to buy only in little quantities for emergencies.
I will never go unless urgent . I went there to return kajal which was expired by the time they sold I took it unknowingly by trusting these guys. I when I opened I didnt find it correct. When I went to return lady over there saw that and said no one bought it till now she also saw that item is of no use ,but she said I wont take it That's disgusting.
Hello, Myself Sarah. I go to Evans every week. Preferably on vegetable days. The lady who works there in the morning does not care about her customers at all. She’s always sitting on the chair. I wanted to buy tea and wanted to check the expiration date, you could clearly see the expiration had been wiped out. I believe she’s selling expired items.
Once I set foot in parking lot Indian ppl looked at me whispering. I went in stone the ppl there all acted like if I was a informant. Big guy from the back followed me around the store two other Indians followed me around the small store. If you are not Indian Pakistan do not step foot there. I was followed out the store off the parking.
It's a very organize store.I got everything what i need. They have everything meat vegetables and dry ration. and the staff was very nice and helpful. i recommend it is the best store in the Sant Antonia. Keep it up your great job
This place is amazing! So many options and all very inexpensive. I came in to get some henna hair dye and they had lots to choose from and it was so cheap! Also they were friendly. Highly recommend this place.
Very crowded with ‘stuff’. You don’t need 50 items stocked of the same thing — you can stock 10 items. Would make the store look cluttered, messy and disorganized. And please take vegetables of the floor.
This place is just like being back home. I absolutely love it. Small easy to shop and has most things you will need to make an amazing meal the food next door that is carry out is so yummy too.
One of the most rude store running people very rude and nasty attitude i don't know how they stay in business .i will never go back i rather drive 10 mile extra to ali baba in medical drive .
Tons of good Indian food, both prepackaged and bulk. Extremely limited selection of American foods (primarily candy), but not sure why you'd be looking for those at an Indian store anyway.
The woman and her mom that work here are very nice. The rice is delicious and the fresh vegetables are great. Big soda and drink selection. Great customer service and fast. Love it here!!
I would give this place zero stars if possible... More than half the time all their groceries are stale and rotten and they still proudly leave it on display.. Worst grocery store ever.
Varieties of indo-pak groceries at a reasonable price compared to shahi grocery. The service is slow at times but overall , you will find what you want from your hometown.
Worst grocery store ever. Most of the products are expired and even has insects in it. I personally returned same product ( different brand) twice.
It used to be good. But management seems to have got changed recently. These guys have a lot of expired items. Please beware!!
Thế location is convenient for me. I can get most vegetables that I wanted. The supplies are only good on Friday and Saturday.
It used to be good. But management seems to have got changed Most of the products are expired and even has insects in it.
Things he carry expensive compare to other Indian Groceries right his inside is expensive to so please.
I love the prices, and the storekeeper is advising me on how to make roti. A very nice place to shop.
Very good potential business in the neighborhood but it is very slow on service.
