Sept 2023 updated review (0 STAR) My sister called this bakery 3 days in advance to order a fruit cake for my birthday to be picked up at 2pm. She showed up on the pick-up day at 3pm (even hour after) and they did not have her order ready. They did not apologize or offer to make the cake right away and offer a discount for their mistake. They said they could make it now but it would take 20 minutes; however, they also stated that their baker (only baker available) was busy at the moment, which indicated it would take longer. What was the point of making an order 3 days ahead if they couldn’t or wouldn’t fulfill it. They did offer my sister to choose an already made cake from their fridge. She declined because the cake she ordered was specific as to how I like the fruit cake. What a dishonest business giving a 20-minute wait time when they knew it would take longer if the baker was busy. Also, no apology. BEWARE: DO NOT place a special order with this bakery. Very disorganized, dishonest and has poor business practice with respect to taking cake orders! Extremely disappointed, on my birthday to not get the cake I’ve been waiting for days, weeks and years. Can’t remember the last time I had a Chinese fruit cake. Will never order cakes from them! Probably will not be a returned customer for their bakery items either. This is unfortunate. June 2023 (5 out of 5) Newly renovated - looks fresh and modern! Love the pull-out display case drawers where the buns and pasties are stored. Recently tried the almond croissant - it was absolutely delish with almond flavoured cream filling…my fav version so far ❤️The bbq pork bun was good too with pulled pork. The two ladies that served me at the cash were pleasant. A quick recent visit, but an enjoyable and satisfied one! THE WORST WORST WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER COME BACK!!!!!!! My wife and my 2 year-old son went to this store this afternoon, my son keep walking around and got in to a corner in the store! Suddenly, a lady with ponytail hair yelled to my son very loud!!! my son is only 2 years old and get really scared! my wife said you don't need to yelled him he's only a child! The lady didn't stop and kept saying lots of dirty words in Cantonese. She thought my family don't understand but my wife did! so my wife told her to stop. She never listen and she EVEN SAID MY SON IS TRYING TO STEAL SOMETHING! After a while, the mall security came and ask what happened! my wife told him about the situation! He thought the lady should say sorry to us ! but she doesn't even care about the security! she is pretending she is busy to do something but there is actually nothing to do. she doesn't even answer the question that security asked her! We will report this to the Mall Management! the Things she did to my family today is not anywhere near acceptable !!!! SO RUDE and the WORST Experience EVER!

Probably by far the worst service I've gotten at a HK bakery. Even being Cantonese my self they were extremely rude. My girlfriend and I decided to stop by on our way to the highway, because we were craving egg tarts. We asked for them to be put into two separate bags rather than squished into one so we can have them on the road. The lady (owner I assume) looked at us with disgust, and asked us what we meant. I simply asked for two small food-grad bags. Being a food manufacturing owner myself I knew that these bags cost south of a penny. After asking for the fourth time, she looked me straight in the eye and stuffed both the egg tarts into the bag and crammed them together into a paste, as if to say "up yours." Suffice to say we did not eat them. The rest of the products were awful tasting, of old oil, and animal fats. I would recommend any one with a bit of self-respect to stay away and not to put yourself through this.

Terrible experience. Ordered a cake for my sister’s birthday and the cake that was delivered was spoiled. Very embarrassing sending a cake for someone as a surprise and the surprise was it’s spoiled and they can’t eat it. Also, it’s 50$ for this spoiled cake. When I called to let them know my disappointment, the lady who answered did not apologize but instead made excuses and I did not get a positive experience even in owning up to the mistake they made. I will never order from here again.

I have not experienced any bad customer service here however they never really acknowledged me anyway or say much to me other than the price of my items when I go to pay. Overall I do like their buns, mainly the hot dog and chicken ones. Their chicken pot pies are also pretty good and cake rolls are decent. I've tried other places and this one by far to me is the best. I will say, not sure if they ever clean their utensils, trays or the bins where they put their items since I don't really see that and I've been coming here for years.

Not disregarding people's experiences here but I personally never had issues going to this bakery. I've been going here for YEARS, pretty much close to two decades and the buns were always great (especially the cha siu/bbq pork one). The cakes are pretty decent and cheap too. The workers have never been rude to me whenever I went and as far as I know, even other bakeries leave their bags open because it's freshly baked and still hot.

This bakery has gone down hill. Before, when you purchased your buns they would individually pack each one separately in a plastic cellophane bag. Now, they just stuff them in together. As for the taste quality of the buns, they've deteriorated as well. Had the BBQ buns and I'd swear the meat inside were just left over scraps. The curry buns were just as bad; it was really salty. To top it off the buns are smaller in size now.

We simply asked if we could have one more of those small semi-transparent bags to hold our buns in because we wanted to split them up and bring them home separately, but one of the staff members was extremely rude to us in her refusal. Her tone, attitude, and look of annoyance were completely unnecessary. There are better bakeries with much better customer service; we won't be returning here again.

Initially was scared of ordering looking at the reviews but still went ahead and ordered a Spring forest cake as i couldn't find a fresh fruit cake anywhere but the cake turned out so good. It was very fluffy and light and airy and not too sweet. Fruits on the cake were fresh and the whole cake was really well presented and well received by everyone.

Buns are decent for what you pay, just keep in mind, this place is for quick and cheap eats, so don't expect high gourmet quality. I used to come here regularly when prices were 6 buns for $4 but with "inflation" and current prices, it makes it harder to return. Never had a problem with customer service.

Great price, but the writing was a bit messy and needed corrections. They also tried to give me a different coloured cake topper at first but then they fixed it. They don't offer much customization. We paid $90 for a cake that would've been $200 from an Instagram cake person.

Got a bbq pork and pineapple red bean bun from here. The bbq pork bun has good a mount of filling and chunks of pork. The pineapple red bean bun has real red beans and a decent amount of filling. Both buns were under 2 dollars. Id definitely come back for those.

I had a terrible experience here, definitely will not go back. The people were extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked for coconut buns, and they gave me buns filled with chicken. When I went back to ask about the confusion they were very snobby.

Recently renovated. The staff here are lovely. Baked goods are extremely fresh as they are always churning out buns. They always oblige when I ask for the freshest batch. Prices are very reasonable, buy 6 and save tax.

Workers are rude. Food is mediocre. There is a large "20% off all buns" sign up, yet they charged me more for it. You only get 1 bag per customer, no matter how much you spend, and they charge 5 cents per bag after.

The buns here are decent, I have tried the buns here since I was a kid. Customer service however is horrible. I would recommend the BBQ bun as they always makes tons of them fresh and it's delicious.

I like the bakery here. Was in the mall with the kids and was carrying the baby so the owner was kind enough to pick out what I wanted for me. She even gave a pizza bun to my older kid.
