Hi everyone, I have been coming to this practice for years (13) and they made my fear of dentists vanish. Dr Shahab, my dentist is an absolute genius. Apart from explaining everything he's going to do in every aspect, pros and cons so there is no surprises and you know what to expect, everything he has done in my mouth so far has been excellent. A few years ago I chose to do a bridge instead of an implant because I thought it was going to take to long, would be painful as some friends who had it done in another dentists have mentioned to me. The bridge was an excellent match to my teeth and after a few days it fell part of my mouth, like it always was there, I was so happy, still am. Not only that, I had no pain apart from the uncomfortable feeling of the anesthetic, next day I was ok. This time, as it was only one tooth I decided to be strong and have an implant. I was scared as I had little bone and was near my sinus but after growing some bone, doing some specific X-rays and everything to make absolutely sure it was possible I finally had it done and, WOW, that's all I can say. Only first part is done, implant in the gum. After 1 1/2 hours in the chair, not feeling anything, I come out with a bit of swollen gum, which is expected and uncomfortable feeling, after 4h i don't really feel any pain but still a bit uncomfortable so I take 2 paracetamol to go to sleep just in case. I slept well, no pain, and next day I am fine...no pain and almost as normal feeling in my mouth. Stitches have disappeared in a week and I kept my mouth clean. Today I had the 2 week check up and It's perfect and ready for the next step in 3 months. Thank you Dr Shahab for being such a wonderful dentist. If you, like me, had a fear of dentists...don't fear no more, they are wonderful, the stuff is also very helpful and polite. I can't recommend them enough, two of my friends have now moved to them. AVOID - If i could award 0 stars I would. I could write the whole sorry saga of what went on today at the practice subsequent to my appointment yesterday, however the attitude is perfectly summed up by the dentist who i believe was the practice principal Dr Shahab Mirjafari when he said to me 'YOUR DECAY IS NOT OUR PROBLEM' THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO THE COMMENTS MADE BY OWNER. His assertion that i was rude and aggressive is completely untrue and his implying that i used bad language or shouted is a falsehood. I had rung the surgery first thing today as i could feel the tooth which was filled yesterday (23/8/23) had the beginnings of an infection and wanted antibiotics. I was told by the receptionist that i would be called back. They did not call back. I attended the surgery at 12:55. I was told that the NHS dentist was not there today so i would have come back tomorrow, by which point the infection would have worsened. I was then told i could see someone today but would have to pay to see them. I said this was not acceptable and asked to see the principal of the business. First i was told he was off today, then i was told he was at lunch. He was actually downstairs all the time. I politely challenged the receptionist about why she had lied to me and said i would wait to see the principal. Shortly after this the principal came upstairs and told me i had made his receptionist cry and if i didn't leave he would call the police. I invited him to do so as this would form part of my complaint regarding their complete lack of care for their patients and is still summed up by his comment YOUR DECAY IS NOT OUR PROBLEM'

I am so glad I found the Excel Dental practice. Since becoming a patient of Dr.Shahab I have had several fillings, a bridge and more recently two teeth implanted and am extremely happy with the results. Dr Shahab explains what needs to be done and discusses all the options so you are able to make an informed decision without any pressure. He takes time to explain how best to take care of your teeth to minimise future treatments. He is highly skilled and even the more invasive treatments I have had have been pain free. My whole attitude to visiting the dentist has changed, I no longer dread appointments or sit with rising fear in the waiting room. Everyone is extremely nice and everything is done to put the patient at ease. I cannot speak more highly of Dr Shahab and Excel and would urge anyone, particularly if you currently have a dread of dentists, to change dentists now.

I was recommended to Excel Dental Care by a friend. I have been very impressed with the practise during my time of being a patient there. That includes everyone working there, the Dentist who treats me , Dr Shahab Mirjafari, the Hygienists and the Reception Staff. Dr Mirjafari takes time to explain what needs doing and allows the patient time to ask any questions and generally makes them included in the process and any decisions that need to be made. I recommended both my Mother and my Sister to the practise who are both very happy with their treatment. The Dr had to deal with some complex situations with my teeth and my mothers teeth and in each case managed to find very good solutions to the problems. The Reception staff always take the time to call up and remind one just before a coming appointment, so for those, like me, with a busy schedule, it is very useful.

Been bringing my kids here for years and receiving excellent care, and wonderful attention and greetings from Sophie on reception who is the smiling welcoming face and nothing is ever too much work for her - she is always on top of appointments and reminders which is a huge relief to me. I recently decided to get my own teeth straightened and Dr. Mirjafari was wonderful from start to finish. The process was clear and transparent, pricing was all up front and as expected. I am thrilled with the results. I am smiling in photos for the first time ever ! Having opted for the suresmile clear aligner system I wasn't completely convinced I would see huge changes - but I really did , and quickly ! I cannot recommend it more. My only regret is that didn't do this years and years ago. Can't recommend enough.

Excellent service! Great dentist and very friendly staff ! I came here in September 2014 and needed lots of fillings, root canal and a gum treatment (which was ignored by my previous dentist) and I was very pleased with the results. The dentist is very professional and took time to explain the issues that I have and also went through the treatment plan with me.I was woried that because I needed numerous appointments I wouldn't be able to manage it as I am quite busy person.The receptionist offered me hour slots that completely suited me.Thank you very much.They also have great reminder service about the time of your appointment so you can't forget. I have had lots of bad experince with other dentists in the past and this is so far the best one! I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area

I was recommended to Dr Mirjafari by a friend after having so many bad experiences with other dentists! I had a check up where he explained all of my treatment options and gave me the freedom to choose. He was also very transparent with the pricing which is something I have rarely experienced with dentists. I had my filling done a few days ago and it truly was seamless. Dr Mirjafari explained the whole process to me step by step. He checked my tooth, showed me my X-ray and before picture, explained exactly what he was going to do and the started the process, checking with me several times throughout to ensure I was ok. He then showed me the after picture and explained what he had done. I really trust his expertise and professionalism. I only wish I had known of him before! Highly recommend!

The quality of the dental care here is excellent. I have only ever experienced private dental care in the past, apart from when I was a child, and I was a little anxious about the quality of dental care. However I can honestly say that the young dentist, Dr Johal, was so much better than any private dentist I have ever visited. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and was keen to discuss any issues I had. I referred both of my children and the dentist was just so understanding of the childrens needs. She highlighted issues before my daughter even had a chance to bring it to her attention. These were issues previously ignored by private practices. We all had a very good experience here and feel well looked after for all our dental needs.

I am a customer who has paid this dentist well over £1,000 for treatment in the past but when I called today to make an appointment I was asked to pay immediately over the phone - and that after being asked to "hold on" three times by the receptionist who obviously didn't know how to book a check-up and the hygienist at the same time, nor could she get my date of birth right. Past experience with this dental clinic was exemplary, but obviously they are now trying to resolve the problem of people making appointments which they don't keep. If they want to retain my custom however they will have to find a different way which will treat existing clients with at least a modicum of respect.

I found Dr Kanabar, the dental nurses as well as the reception staff very supportive of my dental phobia. Dr Kanabar carried out some treatment over a period of time on me and made sure the procedure was painless each time. I highly recommend this dental practice as the dentist is very patient and the treatment is carried out in a patient and gentle manner. I'm pleased to say that through attending this dental practise on a number of occasions this year. I have managed to overcome my dental phobia. As well as being supportive Dr Kanabar, the dental nurses as well as the reception staff are very welcoming and friendly every time I have an appointment.

Dr. Shahab Mirjafari is my lovely excellent dentist. Dr. Shahab is the best dentist I've ever had in my life . Really!!! Excellent care service and job is very professional ! Attended this dentist after being recommended by a friend, previously I have had bad experiences with dentists. Initially was booked in for a check up and then was recommended to get fillings done. The following appointment went in to get the fillings done, the whole process was great, from the initial injection to numb the gums and the fillings were done . Was completed really quickly and I was informed of what was going on step by step. I was seen by Janine Johal, she is excellent in that she does, I will be recommending more of my friends and family to visit this dentist. Many thanks, keep up the good work.

Had some persistent toothache and visited this dentist several times. I was told that there was no issue and prescribed high fluoride toothpaste on more than one occasion. Over a month later, the pain got worse and I booked an appointment with a hygienist to clean my teeth in the same establishment. The hygienist who didn’t have use of an X-ray that the dentist used on several occasions, found that my wisdom tooth had decayed significantly. Had to spend £300 to privately remove the tooth because the pain had become unbearable and this could have been avoided if this dentist spotted this issue months before.

I heard of this practice through word of mouth. I was a bit apprehensive before my first appointment from my past experiences at various practises, however Dr Shahab and his team put me at ease. He was professional and very informative about my procedures, something I've never experienced before at a dentist. He gave me options on what steps to take for the best care for my teeth. Even down to having the injection, I didn't leave with half my face feeling numb! Defiantly will recommend and go back. I am claiming this as my new practise. Eliesha Williams

I am very happy with the service of Dr. Mirjafari. He has taken care of me since my pregnancy and now takes care of my little boy too. Dr Mirjafari has excellent skills in communication, is very easy to discuss problems with and truly cares for his patients. I had few fillings done with him and couldn't even feel the injection! I have never received care and attention like I have at Excel Dental Care. Everyone is very professional, starting with reception and finishing in surgery.Would highly recommend to anyone that is nervous about seeing the dentist.

I have just completed the process of having a molar implant with this dental practice. The whole experience has been outstanding. Everything from the wonderful, friendly receptionist (always a smile!) to the dentist who is the best I have ever had. Every aspect of my treatment from the removal of a crown due to an infected root canal, to the explanation and reasons to have an implant and then all the various procedures has been excellent. In the past year I have had a dental implant and a re-root canal done by Dr Shahab Mirjafari (the first root canal was performed unsuccessfully at another dental practice). Both procedures were performed expertly with no pain during either. Unlike some other dentists, Shahab will spent time explaining what he is doing and will make sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout. So, whether you are a nervous patient or not, I highly recommend visiting Dr Mirjafari for all your dental needs.

Fantastic dentist! I have been a patient of Dr Shahab since the early days of the practice opening and have always received the highest level of clinical care and advice from him. He is an excellent dentist with an ability to explain things clearly and put you at ease. Especially if you are nervous of dental treatment like myself. Clinically very competent having performed root canal treatment for me like a breeze. He is also very decent and easily likeable person.

I came to excel dentist with a cracked tooth and some other problems, the lady behind the counter was lovely and very welcoming, along with the lady dentist who first saw me she was very lovely and the dentist who removed my broken tooth Shahab Mirjafari he was very helpful and kind, I usually am quite nervous to go to the dentist as I had lost trust in a dentist I previously had used, but this dental practice is brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone!

I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years and thought I better get checked out - Both the Receptionist, Dentist and Dental Assistant were accommodating, hospitable and kind - I needed a couple of procedures that went really well with no pain involved; with the Dentist explaining exactly what he was doing as he was doing it. The dentist was also very insightful and non judgemental - all in all the best experience that can be had at a dentist - thank you!

September 19th. 2020, I had two implant posts inserted. Felt very little pain. Before having the injections-Dr. Shahab gave me some paracetamol tablets to take. The whole procedure went seamlessly. Once at home, I regularly used Corsodyl mouth wash and warm salty water to rinse the gums. Absolutely no pain-and I would highly recommend this dentist. I didn't need to take any pain killers!! I have been his patient for a number of years. Extremely satisfied.

Excellent practise led by Shahab. He and his team dealt with sorting out the loss of my front tooth. Now beautifully restored via an implant and all the surrounding teeth also improved in line to create the best looking teeth i ever had. Highly flexible in working and coordinating with another team doing the bone graft i required. Also proactively gave great advice on keeping all my teeth healthy for the years to come. I'm so grateful that we have such an amazing dentist. Both my children come here regularly for check-ups and the staff is so friendly that the visits are something to look forward to. We have been coming here for years now and no matter how difficult the situation might be from the medical point of view, I always have had this confidence here that my children are in good hands and we always leave with huge smiles (and stickers of course).

I have been registered with Excel Dental Care on Cricklewood Lane for over four years. I have always received an excellent level of care and treatment. The entire team are always friendly, polite, extremely helpful and supportive. This dental service is the best service I have ever attended. I've just had a 1 tooth filled and one removed + hygiene by Dr. Mirgafari, Excellent as always, the filling is nicely done! The staff are all friendly and very polite and any questions I had they had the answers. Had a root canal surgery and then a crown fitted all done in three appointments very quickly. My experience here has been fabulous. I was lucky that a client of theirs overheard me talking about my teeth on the train and advised me to pay them a visit. A private dentist wanted to do a root canal for £250, they did xrays and told me there was a chance it could be saved, cleaned it, filled it and two years later my tooth is still fine and I'm still their client.

Had a very informative consulataion about my implants with the owner of the practice, which was very helpful. Deffinately would recomend to anyone who wants to be in good hands when dealing with any complicated dentistry, especially implants. Very pleasant and efficient staff, from the first appointment I felt relaxed and taken care of. Very happy with the service.

5star for the Dr’s professional skills and for patient’s mental care. I had a root canal treatment by Dr.Shahab today. Despite my fear and worry, the treatment went smooth and absolute pain-free! Dr.Shahab answers all my questions, and explains what he is doing on my teeth, and what to expect next, which helps to remove my fear:) Recommend to everybody!

They just want money. My 11 years old daughter had an hygienist appointment and got her teeth done. After 2 months, this woman dentist said that my daughter needed to see the hygienist again as her teeth are very dirty. Told same thing to me. Changed dental practice and new dentist said we are doing very well in cleaning our teeth! Stay away from here!

Dr Shahab Mirjafari is an extremely professional, competent, experienced and able dental practitioner. He's been looking after my dental needs (dental check-ups, veneers, crowns, and implants) for in excess of ten years and i have no hesitation in recommending him. His reception team, even in times of pressure, are always helpful/courteous.

I visited Excel Dental Care with problems with my teeth, I was so pleased with the care shown - from reception to the dentist. It is never easy to visit a dentist - Dr Shahab Mirjafari - put me completely at ease as I entered - took time to show me the problem areas and what the treatment would entail in detail.

Very good experience. The dentist was thorough, explained alternative options fully and gave a full description of the procedures he was going to undertake. I came to him after my my previous dentist said that I definitely needed RCT, but Dr Mirjafari's advice and treatment plan helped to avoid this.
