This was my first time going to Porsha and my experience was not the best at all. I brought my daughter in for a silk press and I let her know ahead of time that my daughter is tender headed and her hair is thick in which she understood. She preceded to blow dry my daughter's hair and my daughter is crying her eyes out in the process. I told her can she go easy and she looked and paused and stated "I AM going easy." She continued to blow dry her hair, while my daughter is crying again. She did not try to console my child but steady continued doing it the was she was doing it. I told her to just stop and she preceded to say "I can keep going because her crying doesn't bother me." I told her no were done and asked how much do I owe her. She still charged me FULL price of a silk press which is $125. Mind you she ONLY washed and blow dried my daughter's hair before I told her to stop. I was in shock but still paid it because I wanted to get out of there. I would not recommend at all, at least for kids. She also had 2 other people there while trying to do my daughter's hair. If I could give 0 stars I would.

As a first time client my experience was horrible. I schedule an appointment with Porsha for a short haircut, I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair. When I initially schedule my appointment with Porsha she let me know I didn't include my hair to be styled, so I told her she could just cut my hair and I'll style it myself. She insisted that her other stylist (Shatavia) could do my haircut and she would style my hair, so I agreed. However, when Shatavia cut my hair it was nothing like the picture I showed her, even before she started to cut my hair, I asked her did she need to see the picture of the cut I wanted again & she said no. Not only was my haircut wrong, Porsha did not style my hair correctly. For me to have paid $100 plus a tip just for me to walk out with a style I hate. Needless to say, I will not be back and I'm not pleased on how my hair turned out.

They don’t make professional stylists like Porsha anymore. Long story short my stylist never showered up to my appointment and left me to scramble with my natural hair. I have 4c hair for goodness sake. I called her in a crisis and she booked me same day as a new client with no deposit required. I appreciate her genuinely getting to know me as a client and educating me about my hair during the entire process. I got the works amazing wash, conditioner, steam treatment, trim and silk press. The place is clean, and let me mention she’s not talking in your ear getting the neighborhood run down while you are being serviced. I have lived in Charlotte for 4 years now and have finally found my stylists. I would highly recommend you book!

Porsha is a dream come true! She is careful yet efficient. I always see her for a silk press. My hair always comes out soft, bouncy, shiny and healthy! She is also super knowledgeable about hair care. She sold me a great hair cream, shampoo and conditioner for my baby’s cradle cap that worked great! His hair was soft and moisturized and the cradle cap cleared in just a few uses. I was suffering from postpartum hair loss and she recommended a protein treatment. Porsha is the absolute best hair stylist! She really knows what she is doing. I go in between braids and twist outs to get my hair treatments and trims but my hair is definitely healthy because of her. I also got some of her products and used it on my baby girl. Porscha is the truth! I'm becoming a regular at this salon because of how well my hair always looks and how healthy it is becoming. I've always had very dry, itchy scalp and she recommended scalp treatments. It has this cooling, tingling effect while getting rid of all of the buildup. She showed me the before and after and I was so surprised at what we can't see! After the treatment my scalp felt lighter and more hydrated. She also gives advice on things to do at home to improve hair health. Styles are always on point.

Pros: Tyne did a great job washing, detangling and blow drying my hair. Cons: The press was not silky at all. The trim was jagged instead of a clean line. I had to have my hair re-trimmed by my regular stylist to repair the damage.
