By far the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Also one of the worst companies in general I've dealt with. They get an extra star because everyone I talk to (in Mississauga) is friendly and helpful when I inevitably have to call and ask where my rx is. I think the problem is that we're not actually their customers. Our companies/benefit managers are. So they're the ones that are pandered to. They have little incentive to make things better for individual patrons. The margins and net income of the world's biggest companies are more important than people getting the drugs they need to function, and even continue to live in some cases. But we all know that already. So that's the only reason I use them, because my company started making us. Here's how a normal pharmacy works: you walk in, hand them the paper and either wait a few minutes or come back later. That's it. Done. I'm at home watching re-runs of The Office. Here's how these guys work: you mail them the rx, or your doctor has to fax it. You can't take a picture or scan it, or fax it yourself. Makes it a lot harder to forge my script for blood pressure meds, but alas... Then you have to go online and click "refill" or call and ask them to fill it. If you don't, it just sits there unfilled. Maybe it's just me, but if I'm sending in a new rx that means I want it filled right away. It's never once meant the opposite. I didn't know that for a while and I kept running out of things, because I assumed they would just fill it. When you do click the magic "fill" button, it's then another 1 - 10 or so business days before they actually physically fill it and send it. So if you definitely don't want to run out of anything, you should stay a month ahead on your doctor visits. Also their hours, again at least in Mississauga are 7:30-6:00 M-F. This is fine for contacting them, but I'm assuming this means they don't fill or ship anything outside those hours either. This was another reason I'd run out. When I could go to a real pharmacy, I'd drop of my rx the same day and either wait or come back the next day or whatever. I wasn't used to needing a month of lead time. Another thing is that they don't carry all the meds that a proper store would. If they don't carry something they fax it to your regular place, then you have to go there and get that. Ridiculous. When it finally does come in the mail (Canada Post), you may or may not need to sign for it. Sometimes I don't and sometimes I do. It's a fun surprise every 3 months. If I do, and I'm not home, that means a special trip to the post office. As you know, I have a job, so I'm just not home. I'm very grateful to have a car. Imagine if you didn't, and you had to go through all this for what was originally one simple trip. So yah, you're probably only using XS because your poor, struggling company is making you, which makes a review kind of useless I guess. Maybe someone will take solace in seeing that it's not just them who has problems. But definitely don't do it on your own thinking it will be cheaper/easier. It's not. Even though the regular pharmacy is pretty easy, I'd still switch to an easier option if I could. Just not this one, knowing what I now know. This review has been a long time coming. I wanted to give them a chance. I wanted to give myself a chance, to get used to something new. I wanted to write this from a neutral place emotionally. I don't write a lot of bad reviews. I'd rather just move on. But this is literally life and death for some people, so I felt like I should.

Update July 2020 - Still awful service. I order a refill. They take a couple days to ship it via FedEx. I am not home when FedEx delivers so they take to their distribution centre which is 20KM from my house and say I have 5 days to pick it up. Express Scripts is 21.6KM from my house so I am not sure what they have accomplished since I am not going to pick it up. They will get it back and then spend time reprocessing it. Why can't they send it via Canada Post. If I am not there for the delivery they return to the postal location which is 1 km from my house. I am not sure who is thinking up this great distribution system and I don't understand why the word "Express" is in their name, perhaps "Pony Express" would be better. If my insurance company did not force me to use these guys I would use my local pharmacy, again 1 KM from my house. Very inconvenient and does not seem to get any better. Very poor customer service, long call wait times, useless customer dashboard. I only use because forced by company. Had way better service at local pharmacy. Update Feb-2020 - still same level of service - errors entering prescriptions, sending prescriptions when asked not too, no detail on online invoices, need the one that comes with the prescription - is this 2020? Hopefully will improve in the future. Customer Service agents good, but a hard job when they have to deal with another persons errors. All they get to do is apologize. Still forced to use them by group insurance company.

Avoid this place at all costs! Horrible service. Prescriptions are never sent on time, if they even get sent at all! You have to call (several times) and chase them to get your refills. There’s no such thing as “auto renewals”. They are the most disorganized pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. The online prescription management portal does not work. If you need to update your settings, you might as well just call because nothing ever updates properly when you make changes online. (How horribly inconvenient for a company that is built on the premise of being able to order online. Also it’s not any cheaper than most pharmacy.) Their dispensing fee is $9. Costco is way cheaper if you can handle the crowds. For an extra $2 on the dispensing fee, I’ll deal with Shoppers Drug Mart where they actually know what they’re doing. Another major inconvenience is the fact that if you’re not home when the prescriptions arrive in the mail, they get sent to the nearest postal outlet. I understand the security/liability issues for doing so, but what’s the point of ordering something online if you have to drive to town to pick it up anyway? Don’t waste your time with this place - go to your local pharmacy.

I was forced to transfer to this pharmacy by my insurance company to continue to have full coverage. I have had nothing but bad experiences. I received an email notification May 5 that I was due for a refill. I emailed back not 10 minutes later and confirmed what day I wanted delivery. By Friday, June 1 I still had not received my delivery. I called the pharmacy and was informed that it hadn’t even been filled yet. They promised that I would have my delivery on Monday, June 4 or Tuesday, June 5 at the latest if they had to order more in to fill my prescription. I received a further call on the 4th that they weren’t going to be able to get it to me til Wednesday, June 6. I still have yet to receive my delivery. When I called yet again to find out where it is, I was advised it hadn’t been sent because I didn’t confirm that sending it on June 6 was okay. I am not suddenly cured, I have followed up several times now why do I need to confirm yet AGAIN that I need medication?!? WORST pharmacy. Go to Bioscript Canada if you have a choice and avoid this place like the plague.

Unfortunately my experience with express scripts started positive, but it ended negatively. They had not cancelled auto renewal on the prescriptions that didn't need to be auto renewed (which has cost us about $150). Because they told us that we had to pay for them anyways because they had sent them to us, even if we returned them. After this we tried to cancel and have the prescriptions switched to another pharmacy. Which we had thought was completed as the second pharmacy had received the prescriptions. Although this happened we received a notification from express scripts that they are sending us another prescription, after we had transferred the prescriptions. Be wary of express scripts. They are unwilling to work with you.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They are always so confused when I call to get a prescription delivered and after multiple times of setting up an automated delivery with someone over the phone my medication doesn't show up to the clinic unless I call to remind them. Wait times on the phone can be absolutely awful. Today is a new day.... I called the pharmacy and was left on hold for more 30 minutes!!! Absolutely unacceptable customer service.

Dealing with Express Scripts is an absolute nightmare- the most unprofessional and unreliable third party provider. I mean, how hard can it be to set up an account? You keep getting passed around, phones not answered, emails not answered, desk agents completely clueless.... they don't even bother to follow through with communication. This is totally unacceptable- even the so called provider relations team cannot be relied on.

The company i have worked for the ladt 12yrs provides health insurance who use Expess script as a third party insurers. I find out this week that they have denied 3/4 of my prescription only covering 2 days of the week this is benifits that we pay for . They said they will only cover it if i go into the pharmacy each day. What a scam total Rip Off .

I have never been more frustrated with a pharmacy in my life. So much confusion, disorganization and miscommunication over simple refilling of medication. If my insurance wasn't forcing me to use this service, I'd have been long gone.these people are calling me every single day about some new issue.

I have nothing negative to say about Express Scripts. I get my medication delivered to either my work or home and have never had a problem. They are very friendly and helpful when I call and they meet all my needs.
