I came to Extra Space about a year and a half ago fleeing from the other big name in town, (the Orange Company...I was with them for years, three different locations and the entire experience was beyond awful. I mean like things they did to their customers had to be illegal kind of awful). From Day One, the moment I called and Gary answered the phone, it was like some secret VIP world of storage had just been opened up for me. It was from the beginning everything that PS was not. Helpful, friendly, patient, accommodating, clean, safe...I could go on. Prepared with a web rate I was expecting a catch - there was none. He signed me up on the phone for the exact rate I found online. (Insider Tip: They will likely raise your rate at some point in the next year, for me it was about 6 months in. It wasn't a terrible increase, but when you get the notice about the raise call them and see if they can negotiate it for you with corporate. It worked for me. Again, they are actually NICE and TRY to help you with your situation). In my time here, I have never had the first issue with safety or security, something that was a constant concern "elsewhere." Even down to the little things like having enough carts for everyone to use on a busy day, clean bathroom facilities they don't lock up like you're going to try and steal the toilet paper, and I don't know how they do it, but it even smells good in the hallways somehow. I don't know about other ESS locations, but the Monroe Drive location is beyond 5 stars in every single way. If you have a choice between them and anywhere else, save your self a lot of headaches and choose them.

My experience using Extra Space Storage has been so great so far. As someone who has rented units with Public Storage and U-Haul storage, Extra Space has to be the best company I've rented with and I will be renting with them again in the future! I needed a unit last minute and a staff member reserved me a unit over the phone for the same day. She helped me find the correct size unit by asking me how many boxes and items I have, this was super helpful because I didn't know what size I needed. The storage building and units themselves are extremely clean and have a very clean smell! I was able to unload everything from the truck using their provided dollys and elevator. Additionally, each renter gets a gate code that is unique to them. You cannot enter the building without this code which is extremely reassuring to me. The renters I saw and the staff members here were very polite, safe and helpful. I worked with Gary in the main office, and he was such a pleasure to work with. Always kind and ready to help! All in all, I'm really happy renting with Extra Space Storage.

First of all I love this location ! It is always clean and the staff are ALWAYS SO NICE ! A they aren’t rude like other storage places they give you calls about your payments they send emails to keep you reminded to pay on time and some people like me need that reminder sometimes ! Mr. Gary has been so helpful since day one and I’ve had my things there since May , he is always so helpful and nice he sends those extra reminders just to keep me paying on time and he’s always so nice every time I visit the location he’s so nice and I wouldn’t store my things anywhere else ! Period !

Raised rates by 20% after a few months. Raised rates by another 46% after a few more months. In total, I went from $67 to $117 in one year. No explanation, no notice. Just started billing more money. Called for an explanation. They didn’t pick up, and they never returned my voicemail. To make matters worse, they are currently advertising my exact size unit, also on the first floor, for $93. Filter for negative reviews and you will see they have done the same to others. Stay away.

Gary is so helpful. I have two storage units here at this Monroe location. Gary goes over and beyond in customer service!!! Corporate please if you are listening, Gary is doing an amazing job. Every time I go in or call, he’s efforts never goes unnoticed. He reviews the contracts with you, walks with you to the unit, shows you everything front start to finish. Like I said I have two units because of how awesome he is. Makes my life easy while I move from my residences.

Angela Miller and Tabias Kelly gave outstanding customer service and went above and beyond to meet my needs. They really listened and were able to offer options to fit my storage needs and we’re very friendly professional and knowledgeable for a seamless process. I was able to get a storage unit fast and efficient that took the stress off my moving. I highly recommend extra space storage. the facility is clean and has a variety of storage options with climate control.

I am about to rent a unit here in a few weeks and the customer service I received so far from the two sisters that work here was nothing short of exemplary. Both have very pleasant demeanors and Chakierra took her time helping me choose the right size and fit of unit. Gary is by far the kindest person I have met! Moving here from out of state I needed some help and he was happy to talk me through everything. I have now been renting here for 7 months and have switched unit 2 times and he is always incredibly helpful. I thought I was going to move to another extra space storage because of convenience to where I was but I chose to stay at this location because Gary is so good at what he does.

Moving and changing life from a home to an apartment and needed a bigger storage than I originally signed up for. Extra Space Storage on Monroe is a very clean and well managed facility. Temperature control appears perfect every time I have visited. I feel that it is a safe and well-monitored building. Gary was awesome, facility is cool and clean (including the bathrooms). Double locks on the doors on the bottom floor for extra security. Gary was great to work with, gave me a tour and helped me understand how the locks worked. He was very friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend this storage facility.

I couldn’t believe it - the process was simple. I signed the lease online and then afterwards went and put my things into the storage space. All after hours! That’s the crazy part. The building was clean, well secured, easy to find and the music playing was the cherry on top.
