I'm going through a lot of changes in my living situation and getting quite obsessive researching about different storage options, like sizes or security features. With obsession comes indecision. Elke is very calm, easy to talk to, and, most importantly, knowledgable. She efficiently helped me deciding on a solution that fits my situation. And, she swiftly cancelled another storage unit that I signed up by mistake, saving me from calling customer service and billing department in order to get it refunded. A big thumbs up to Elke Almost two years now, I’m still with the company, ExtraSpace Storage, and still happy with the facility. Also pleasantly reassured that the new manager Rob Vera is excellent in everything from changing locks of the units to more secure kind, to discussing about more storage options for my new life needs. This guy is energetic, fast thinking and efficient. Thank you very much

Rob Verra is the man!! From day one when I moved into my storage unit in September all the way to moving out in April, he is always present and ready to help every single day I’ve gone back. The level of customer service is honestly shocking, I would never have expected to be so impressed with a storage facility but Rob has made this place so welcoming and the experience so flawless. He has recognized my boyfriend and I every single time we’ve come in and remembered exactly where my unit is. He has gone out of his way to be helpful. His staff also mimics his standards and you can tell they have been trained to provide customers with exceptional service thanks to Rob. This is not a paid ad and I do not know Rob personally in the slightest, he just happens to have become a friendly face every time I visit my storage unit and I have really appreciated it throughout my time with Extra Space Storage.

Ok so I was on my way out and I was approached by some young man named ANTHONY.... He asked me for my name and I gladly stated my name. We talked about less than 10 minutes.... He asked how I liked the facility. I stated how I felt and the unit number I was renting. He mentioned my unit # a few times which assured me that he was aware of my space #. He stated he was new to the facility and that him and his new crew was in fact trying to make the facility a better place. I respect that! I appreciate that! Since he has been a part of the company, the restroom is cleaner. It smells great, and toilet paper is loaded. He stated that he will be walking by my unit to help eaze my mind of worries. He made me feel so good and secure about renting from Extra Space Storage. I do appreciate Anthony very very much! Thanks to the new member Anthony. I can be less worried....

If you looking for any storage unit with excellent customer service on top of everything look no further. This is honestly the best place to rent from. The staff helped me out of a stressful situation that I was going through and made the greatest effort to walk me through the options they could offer. I’ve heard many horror stories about people having bad experience with the staff at storage locations while moving in and when moving out. But this location went above in beyond with my needs while moving in and even more while moving out. I can’t and wouldn’t recommend any other storage locations in the area expect for this location. It has the best staff, units, and overall welcoming energy and unmatched customer service that i’ve ever seen.

I want to send a BIG thank you to the Extra Space Storage staff. While in the process of moving out of the apartment, due to an emergency me and my wife needed a temporary spot to park our things before moving it to the new destination. Thankfully their store was near where we lived so we gave them a call and we were able to rent a storage space immediately. We were also able to get the promo as new customers so the monthly rate for the first month was free! Special thanks to James and Elke who helped us through the process. James was really friendly and answered all the questions I had thoroughly. Elke was able to make last minute changes for us to move to a bigger unit to fit all of our things. I highly recommend folks to give them a try.

Renee the manager is absolutely amazing. She was extremely helpful with getting me in a unit and clearly outlined the move in and move out process. I didn’t feel rushed or like i was a nuisance when I was asking all my questions and voicing concerns. While she was helping me multiple people had come into the office and although she was handling so many different things at once she never lost her smile and great customer service. I have had to change my review of this location and reduce the number of stars. Although at first the area seemed clean and the staff helpful. There were some details and options the staff did not take time to explain. Hope these tips might be helpful for others. Check online rates for the best rates. I went into the office and there was a significant rate difference. So do your research. Is the second month free deal in the long run going to be less expensive than the online rate you see? Insurance is a monthly expense and not a one time fee. So for me and additional $62+ a month.

ACCESSING THE STORAGE IS MADE SIMPLE AT EXTRA SPACE. VERY MUCH AFFORDABLE AS IM WORKING TOWARD BETTER FINANCIAL GOALS. THE MANAGER AND ASSISTANT MANAGER ARE BOTH FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL. Kudos to Josh Tullo. We moved into the 10th Street location 10 years ago as family issues precipitated our move out of state to help our Navy daughter and her family in Hawaii. We were 63 years old then. Due to rising housing costs in San Jose, we made the decision to relocate to a more affordable San Diego. We are paying $4,478 per year for our 10x10 rental. New renters are paying half that price. We have a fixed income, and now in our 70's. We pray for some Senior price relief. God bless you and your good secure service.

My experience here continues to be excellent. The facility is clean and consistently well kept. The location is convenient and comprehensive, offering a lots of storage services. I’ve had things here for a couple years and will definitely continue. Elke has been exceptional to work with since I was first transitioning to the area. Her exceptional customer service and support always reduce the built-in stress of moving one’s things. Her assistance has been a substantial part of the quality of my experience.

Good interaction, the only complaint is that there was no bathroom use, this needs to be remedied. Additionally, the staff were very persistent that I leave a comment to the point that I really felt harassed. I believe that if a service is exceptional and i want to give a comment then it should be something that I want to do, not be asked repeatedly every time I go in. The service was good so there was no need for the adamant questioning on, "Why haven't you left a comment?" Just saying...

Rob was very helpful. You can tell he knows his stuff. I was looking to upgrade my unit and he gave me plenty of options. Friendly, attentive, picked up trash people left on the ground. Usually storage places are a little creepy and scary but not this one this storage place is extra clean and always well lit. I have been in several times over the course of this past year and each time a gentleman named Rob has helped me and ALWAYS SUPER ACCOMMODATING! I have always been impressed by this because you don’t always see this at storage places….. never….At least in my experience. Thanks Rob for taking good care of me and the customers here.

The staff there are really friendly and helpful. We rented the storage for few months, and had a moving truck for moving out, the gate has to be opened from outside by entering the code, which is good for security, but annoying if you have to go in and out several times, but the staff helped us open the gate with remote control each time we came to the gate. And they have air-conditioned storage, if you need. Special thanks to Rob!!

Good location, clean, easy and nice staff. Overall good experience. Only complain I have is that every six months or so price will suddenly increase by like +20%, so make sure to keep an eye on the charges, especially if you are on auto-pay. Called the location every time it happened and, even though they don’t refund you or go back to the original price, they will take care of you and give you a “normal” increase.

Rob really went above and beyond today & our team couldn’t be more appreciative. There was a bit of a delivery snaffu on our end and Rob was patient, pleasant, and remained professional throughout the whole experience. He took care of the issue with ease and promptness which is also appreciated. The team here is always very great to work with and I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

I was impressed with Elke's attention to detail and her willingness to help explain my options. I didn't find any sort of hard sell. I also observed her being just as helpful with a few other clients. The facility was clean and well-structured. I do wish the units had some sort of anchor points on all walls in case of earthquake but I feel that I got a fair deal for my 10x15 unit.

The old manager was great loved her. Now they have a rude guy yelling at people like he owes the place. Prices going up feel like I'm paying for an apartment not an storage unit The old manager was willing to help you by giving you a discount or moving to another cheaper unit. The new people is literally like. Well if you don't like it there's more options out there.

This is my first time using a storage unit and I’m glad I picked ExtraSpace! When I first arrived, I wasn’t sure where my unit was and how to direct the movers. The gentleman at the front desk walked me through how to get to my unit and then also helped the movers with parking. The overall complex is super clean, smells clean too. Secure and reasonable pricing!

Rob, the manager there, was extremely helpful. He could tell I was new to the facility and made sure I knew exactly where my unit was and how things worked. Josh helped me a lot I had a question about finding a different unit that could accommodate my situation carrying my items in and out and he was great he checked it then walk out to my unit to give me the great news that he was able to find one and at a lesser price explained the process of changing the units. Great location, easy entrance and exit, clean property. There was a confusion about my initial rental, and I had to get a new unit online while they were closed on the weekend. On Monday morning, the store manager, Josh, called me and he was very nice and helpful. He got my issue resolved in seconds. I definitely recommend renting at this location.

I’ve had a great experience with a rental storage space here for just under a year. There was a time where my card was lost and my payment did not go through, and they worked with me to get my unit back, and were very nice about it throughout the whole process. I would absolutely recommend renting here! Ask for Elke!!!! She is the absolute best!!!

Elke the customer rep, front desk person that help me signup to rent a unit, she’s amazingly friendly and efficient. She was fast and patient to show me around the units. I signed up and I was very pleased to know that I made the decision on renting a unit where there is people like Elke that would lookout for you and likes to help people.

Clean! Staff was helpful. The entire property is inside a warehouse so if it's bright or raining or the weather is otherwise not to your taste, you at least don't have to be directly in it. Gates are kept closed, access is by keypad. Seems pretty secure. Interior is well lit. Access to upper floor is by elevator. Dollies are provided.

The manager was great she helped me with a error that was made by company. Made sure I got the correct storage unit. I changed my ratings because they raised my storage rent to almost double. From 90.00 to 170.00. Way too much! My review from last is still valid, the manager back was great. It is the company that is not true.

Calling for info and speaking with Taylor was a good experience. She listened to my needs. I got the enough pricing info and available units to visit and see for myself. Barney did the paperwork and the unit was clean and able to snatched a unit in a location I wanted. I just felt comfortable my stuff will be safe. Security ++++

Rob was extremely helpful, helping process most of the footwork over the phone making coming into the office at the of the day a breeze. He’s also incredibly kind which is appreciated during an already stressful move. Staff keeps the place clean, it’s well lit and most importantly I feel safe while on the property.

Extra Space Storage is a very clean and exceedingly secure storage solution at 720 N. 10th Street in San Jose. The staff, Christina and Rob are both very professional, competent and courteous. My 5x5 space is even climate controlled and only $55/month. I highly recommend this company for your storage needs.
