"Thank you for your comments, but I don't know what said to you !! One star was given for the service, and not having any information about their changes to the public, I always have a tea and let the staff know I'll be having it inside, and sitting outside drinking it! And I never was I said that it couldn't cuz of Manager changes the changes must be informed to guests without forcing By staff, I am 100% for the environment, nobody is perfect, but you provide a service to customers and information is very important!!! (all i wanted was to relax with tea sitting outside but end up more stressed) Other than that i give this shop 4⭐️! But that day was ⭐️1!!

The sustainable concept is superb, albeit unclear - they need to work on this a bit. This confusion is also translated into the store front design and the mishmash menu. Just a slightly uncomfortable experience overall. The staff member who served us didn't know much about which items had nuts. We weren't going to risk much given that he didn't know a pistachio was a nut. Allergies are not a joke but that made me chuckle. Chai latte was gritty, which was fitting because the coromandel coastline in New Zealand has the finest sand I've ever seen. The muffin was dry, but not in an inedible way, and the cinnamon scroll did the job.

Visited here on 02 Feb 2023, were on a bit of a mission to find dog friendly cafes , in Croydon and surrounding areas. We had just taken my sons puppy Merlin for a walk, and went into Lower Addiscombe for coffee and a cake. The girl serving was lovely , said we could bring our puppy in !( very dog friendly ) . We had a lovely cup of coffee each , and a very tasty piece of carrot and raisin cake , Highly reccomend this cafe for dog walkers and non doggie people, its very nice , friendly and reasonable prices .

Great sustainable coffee with a rich earthy aromatic flavour. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere with plenty of natural light. Had the brie, fig & sweet olive sourdough toastie. It's usually has rocket but they ran out so I asked to substitute for spinach instead. Great hearty toastie with complimentary flavours. It's a bit on the sweet side, could go more on the olive & almond a bit less on the fig & the rocket would add a peppery balance. Overall great to have an independent quality cafe in the area!

Lovely coffee, magnificent pastries. How could it get any better, but it does. A cafe for those passionate about their coffee, not just the taste, but where it comes and the impact it has on those who grew it. The staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. From tiny tots to beaming grandparents everyone who visits here seems to appreciate what it has to offer.

Changed my rating to 3 stars as the person behind the counter declined to serve coffee to drink-in in a paper cup (apparently shop policy). While I'm all for reducing waste, I still think I should be able to have my coffee in a paper cup in case I need to leave before I finish my drink and I expect a commercial shop to be able to accommodate.

This is a great place to grab a really nice coffee. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. The food here is nice but would benefit from being covered up, last time I was in, there were some flies wandering over the paninis which put me off ordering.

My second only ever chai latte, the first one I had here too from a recommendation from the friendly and well informed barista. A great space to meet, chill, plan or write your great novel. Super atmosphere and tempting pastries, cakes and a few light savoury treats.

Great and warm welcome from Kat (Barrister) as soon as I walked in, very friendly, warm and energetic. She made my drink to absolute perfection. I love this space and find it a calm place to study. So glad I have somewhere I can go too just round the corner with amazing coffee.

Fab place and finally somewhere that’s open on a Sunday, when coffees and cakes are most wanted! It was incredibly busy which is a great sign, and the staff were so lovely and apologetic when a coffee was forgotten about. So happy to have somewhere lovely on lower Addiscombe road to have a cake. Would recommend the carrot cake muffin.

The place has a wonderful atmosphere. I really wanted an October season coffee which I saw that they didn’t have. However, one of the workers Cat was very lovely to go out of her way to made her own coffee for me which tasted very nice. Thank you. Highly Recommended :)

Lovely coffee and all the right decor you’d want in a cafe. The Almond topped Pain au Chocolat had so much custard in it. I think perhaps one corner could be swapped out for a comfy sofa.

Cute, cosy, rustic coffee place, with the most charming staff and the MOST delicious and HUGE pastries... the cinnamon swirl was a gorgeous companion to a Chai Latté... A fantastic range of coffees & teas as well as filling sandwiches and snacks... a hidden jem in Lower Addiscombe. Just go... NOW!

Staff lack confidence & don't seem to get much support from the owners , ie no cash float , running out of ice but unable to purchase from local shops no petty cash, no trust . Tea & coffee not bad though. I think the staff need some training & encouragement plus a go faster pill.

Service is slow but only because it's a popular place and not enough staff to cope with the queue. The staff are friendly, the food is yummy, and the atmosphere is chilled I'd go back but not when I am in a rush

Visited twice for a flat white. Really good coffee with great batista's who know how to make a decent coffee. Friendly chatty staff. Nice ambience. Not sure if you'd get a wheelchair in there as it's quite narrow. Hopefully they'll get a couple of outside tables. More

Great coffee. They roast their own, so it’s always freshly roasted. They know what they’re doing with coffee and ensure trained baristas make it. I’ve visited the addiscombe and sanderstead branch and both serve delicious flat whites.

  • Andy Kilpatrick

Super smooth coffee and the friendliest of staff. Make sure to try the almond topped pain au Chocolat; it's one of the best pastries I've had in ages!

Went in for a take away coffee the day after opening, I am impressed with how quickly they have established! The coffee is really good quality and not overpriced like some similar cafes.

We are so happy to see a lovely coffee shop open at our local high st. Dog friendly too! What a treat in the mornings before working at home and so nice to come with my pup after a walk.

  • Nadia W

Great coffee and delicious doughnuts. We got a babycino for our little girl and it came in the cutest cup with a lil lid. A great addition to the area, will definitely be back soon!

Now that's what I call coffee! Ok, this place is now officially the best coffee shop on Lower Addiscombe Road, and it's made my day. Excellent choice of cakes and cookies too.

  • Jason Murray

Great relaxed vibe, friendly staff and good choice of drinks/tasty treats. An excellent local place that lifts the high street and seems popular. I'll be back.
