In the local area especially Green Lane there is a lot and I do mean A LOT of places you can eat food. So what makes this cafe stand out? Well apart from being one of the few places you can buy pie, mash and liquor from, its also one of the few places left which offers ACTUAL bacon on the menu instead of turkey bacon. Freedom of choice as it should be! Yes to you snobs out there it has the vibes and tastes of a 'builder' cafe, but those cafes are some of the unsung heroes of England in my book. The only real complaint I have is the location. No-one but a local would ever give this place the chance it deserves.

Worst cafe ever please do not go hear ordered two breakfasts and a kids meal and they charged me 27 pound when I said are you mad she said oh I must have done it again with that I didn't even let her talk I put 20 pound on the counter and said it's not even worth that ( it really is not worth it) it's a clean enough cafe but the food and price is shocking and to find the same women laughing at me be hide my back if I was back again I would have floored her DONT NOT WAS UR TIME OR MONEY AT FAMILY CAFE ITS HORRIBLE

For weeks we drove past this cafe and commented on how empty the place always was. No matter the time of day. We tried all the other cafes in the area (which by the way, are all absolutely terrible) so eventually thought we would give this one a go. Its a nice sized cafe and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately this is all it has in its favour. The food was so bad we couldn't finish it. Cheap, nasty sausages and bacon. The coffee was average at best. We would never return.

went in for some breakfast for my boyfriend birthday. wasn’t feeling overly hungry, so requested just a kids portion of food and was refused. does an adult need a full adult portion of food? i knew by paying for a kids portion of receive small amount but as i wasn’t overly hungry i wasn’t bothered. do i feel i’ve been discriminated? yes i do. do not recommend this cafe at all.

I was very disappointed. Ordering Sausage egg chips and beans the person at the till asked for £4.50. Going back to my table looking again at the menu it was only £4. An excuse was given but didn’t stand up. “I thought you were ordering an extra”. Right above the counter was a picture of my order with a price of £4. I won’t be going there again!!

This has to be the worst breakfast ever and the service was so bad. A full breakfast was served without bread and mushrooms. What type of full breakfast is that? Cheap quality of ingredients and the staff were so rude. Complete waste of money as I would have been better off making toast at home....do not waste your money going to this place.

The place is a traditional family cafe food is always good service is amazing and fast they are always friendly and professional, I have eaten there for many years and am really happy , full 5 stars

Bacon sandwhich and a coffee always served up with a smile, And i will only order from this very friendly family cafe, And will always travel an extra few miles for my breakfast any day, You must try the food and service is excellent, Keep up the good work you guys and gals

Full breakfast is on point, I enjoy the eggs and sausage sandwich along with a nice cup of English tea, staff could smile more but not there for the staff. Food is good also like the fact that you can sit outside and eat if the weather is good. Parking is a issue …

The cafe was very clean and quiet (no noisy tv or coffee machines) toilet clean too, the baked potatoes with salad i saw served looked nice, but i had a sausage and bacon sandwich, only one sausage in it, sliced as thin as the bacon..could do better!

I went there today at 3pm and order a 1/2 pounder with cheese and chips and was waiting then I started to think what's taking so long then I get told can't have chips as friers are being cleaned she forgot to come and tell me so waited a bit longer

Had to repeat order twice, still got it wrong, staff and customers just staring at you whilst waiting, makes you wonder if a lot of salt and sugar been stolen ffs. Never again
