Horrendous deception! I had to call for an ambulance today and on the phone the receptionist knew the details of the patient coming in, confirming their name and address. I told them it was a panic attack or something similar and they let me bring the patient in - knowing that anxiety isn't covered on insurance. The final diagnosis after 3 hours of the doctors doing nothing, was anxiety. So they say the insurance company won't pay out. Then gave us a bill for $438 for a few hours in a bed, a blood test and a drip. I questioned why they never informed me of the necessary information, knowing the patient from previous experience too, and they tried to feed me some rubbish about not knowing what the issue was beforehand, after I told the receptionist on the phone before they came out. We could have, and most definitely will do in future, go to alternative places such as SOS and the French Hospital. Check the small print on insurance and double check their policies before coming here and don't let the apparent lack of English on the telephone give you a false sense of ease. Be careful of deception as you would anywhere. (I have heard of this from other sources before). Be safe and go elsewhere

Went out of hours with what we didn't know if was a stomach bug or malaria (similar symptoms). Processed very quickly, the reception were very nice. Had a couple really nice nurses and a lovely doctor who had also worked in Paris for a few years. They did some tests on the spot, took my details to email me further results of a final test and gave me a prescription. The doctor consultation was the most expensive part at $95 but they told me if I'd been able to come in normal working hours it was much less. I didn't think it was unreasonable given the time. The tests and prescription were quite reasonable - $30 ish per test, a couple dollars for each medicine. It was processed in the on site pharmacy where a nice pharmacist explained everything to me again whilst handing over the prescription. Very clean, efficient and good command of English throughout the building (as you might expect, the doctor and pharmacist had the best English but everyone else was pretty fluent too). I would recommend as a good place for tourists in need of medical care, especially those preferring to communicate in English or French. I also saw a Japanese section on reception.

I brought my Vietnamese foster daughter here for a check up with the pediatrician. I needed someone with whom I could speak English so that I could be part of my daughter’s treatment. It made me feel more comfortable knowing I could ask questions her family might not know to ask. However, I did not expect to find the same level of treatment I’m used to in America. I found that was silly. We saw Dr. Sheila Rodriguez. She was as professional and knowledgeable as any doctor I’ve seen in the US. But her manner was better than most I’ve experienced. I also never felt the treatment and care was being rushed. It took as long as it needed to take for Dr. Rodriguez’s thorough process and explanations. And for us to be comfortable in our understanding of what the next steps were. Dr. Rodriguez is my new benchmark for how a pediatrician should be. I had total confidence in this doctor. And today, two days after seeing her, she called with test results and further advice. We feel we were in good hands and are now heading in the right direction because of Family Medical Practice in Hanoi. This is where we’ll go from now on for yearly check ups and consultations.

Went to this hospital because my partner had a chest infection. As soon as we walked in we were greeted in english and were sent to a waiting room on the second floor. The receptionist there spoke perfect english and took our information quickly. Within about 5-10 minutes we met with Dr. Brian M. We realized that we were all from Canada and that made us feel extremely comfortable. The dr was very professional and very caring. My partner needed some treatments in hospital and we were treated quickly and professionally. The doctor even came to each of the different sectors of the hospital to check up on us. We have travel insurance that requires documents from the hospital. In this case, there were no issues at all. We were handed all proper documentation enclosed in an envelope. Also, the prescription from the doctor was filled and handed to us back on the first floor with no delay. Total time in the facility was about 1.5-2 hours. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for medical treatment/care, especially to travelers.

Receptionists, nurses and doctor - all spoke very good English. I did not have appointment and since they were fully booked, i was told that waiting time is about 2 hours. Since I was feeling extra bad already 3 days, I had nothing what to lose and opted for waiting. They immediately brought me to the room with the bed and did basic check-up. Doctor came in less than half an hour. I gave blood analysis and test for the flu. While I waited for results nurses were very kind and always took good care of me, gave me some toasts with tea and in some 2 hours I had diagnosis and could go home with prescription and medicine. The only problem is the price - with consultation and all analysis I paid 300$. It was quite shocking... Basic consultation fee is 63$ if You have appointment before 12, if You go after this time, the price is 95$ and analysis are not counted in this fee.

The Chai Tea Incident I made an appointment to have a burn on my foot looked at. I had heard different prices online so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I had to deal with it. I walked in and they directed me upstairs to the office. I filled out a small basic form and less than 10 minutes I was escorted into a room. An English speaking doctor appeared immediately. He looked at my burn and told the nurse what to do. He left while the nurse cleaned the wound and dressed it properly. They gave me a bag of supplies that would last 7 days with of dressing changes. I went to the counter and paid $50 through my credit card. Amazing. The appointment, doctor, dressing, and supplies all included. The doctor joked with me as I was heading out. From the time I left the Old Quarter until I was back was 1 hour. Great Clinic! I highly recommend!!

I'd developed a nasty subcutaneous infection on my lower left leg which swelled with fluid and was only getting worse, accompanied by a running fever and intestinal problems as a result. I rolled in on my motorcycle and was immediately seen by Dr Michael Santos. After a thorough exam he prescribed antibiotics but scheduled a follow-up. When I arrived two days later, the fever had subsided but the swelling in my leg caused by the infection was not getting any better. Dr. Michael immediately sent me to the surgeon who extracted a half-pint of coagulated blood and fluid and I was as good as new within a day. How many clinics provide same day surgery as opposed to making another appointment which could take weeks to fit you into the schedule? Excellent service...an understatement! Five stars!!!!!

So thankful that Hanoi has this wonderful medical centre ! I was helped by Dr William Brian McNaull, and he was extremely helpful and kind. Everything there was spotless and the staff were all very friendly. I usually have a terrible time while getting blood taken but here it was very quick and painless. The staff there were very attentive and while I was about leave someone at the front desk offered to call a taxi for me. I would reccomend to anyone travelling, or just living in Vietnam to come here. The staff all speak English very well, some being foreign doctors like Dr.Mcnaull who is from Canada, and the level of care is comparable to western standards. Being from Canada I’m used to very good healthcare and this met up to my normal standards !!

Fantastic overall experience. I messaged them the concerns on WhatsApp at 3am and they were able to take me immediately. The cost for the visit was $99 USD, which was a bit higher than the other general hospital near us, but well worth it for the time of night we went and the quality of care. They indicated if we came at 8:30am, it would be $67 USD but we couldn’t wait until then due to our flight. It’s still significantly cheaper than what you would pay in US for overnight urgent care. The staff was great and they all spoke English, so no language issue for us. All the equipment was sterile, facility was clean, care was giving fast, and antibiotics we’re given at checkout. Highly recommend this company if you’re traveling and need some urgent care.

The price is appalling. Consultation fee is 680k for Vietnamese and $63 ~ 1480k for foreigners. Can you imagine if this kind of double pricing standards is applied in US or EU? A simple complete blood count test costs $35. For $130 you can already get a general health checkup package at places like Victorina clinic in Saigon, with consultation and full on thorough urine + blood tests included. And medicines, oh medicines. I thought they wouldn't rip you off on medicines but turned out they did coz they could. They charged us $2.84 for an Augmentin tablet when you could totally get it for $0.9 at any pharmacy. Who knows headache and sore throat would cost you $173 in total? What a joke.

A great experience from beginning to end. Everyone was polite, respectful, patient, and professional - I felt really well taken care of. The doctor who took care of me was super nice, explained everything, and answered all of my questions, which was very calming given that I was freaking out about my health scare. Oh, and everyone spoke English, which was a huge benefit. The bill was quite hefty, but given that it was late evening and an emergency - I did not wait for more than two minutes to be examined - it was well worth it (and travel insurance will cover it anyway). My wife was a patient while on a five week trip to SE Asia. Age: senior from USA. I'm giving them 5 stars because they don't allow for more stars. My wife had fever, headache, and was tired and fatigued ... very ill. Diagnosed with pneumonia. Fantastic doctors and staff with great skill and great attitude. Discharged after 2 nights with follow up appointments scheduled. They accepted our travel insurance. We were treated like family by everyone there. So ..... we are old enough to have experienced a lot of doctors and hospitals and this place was the best. Sick in Hanoi ... I suggest you take a taxi here.

I’m from Italy and I can easily confirm that this private hospital has the same, if not higher, health system compared to our public health system. Smooth, no waste of time, clear information, good treatment. The price is quite expensive (I hope you are smart enough in 2023 to travel with private insurance) but it worth it. If your priority is to have a perfect treatment spending less time possible this is the place for you. I spend more or less 450$ to have 2 x ray 2 appointment with the doctor and one surgery in order to remove k wires from my finger + basic treatments of my scarf. Definitely worth it.

2 days into my tour to Vietnam started feeling pain in my shoulder. Asked the guide for recommendations and she suggested this medical center. It was amazing. Within an hour, I saw a GP then an orthopedic, got an X ray and ultrasound. l got diagnosed, got medication and was released!! Throughout the process, the staff/caregivers were attentive, supper nice and most importantly, professional. I also asked to be sent the diagnosis and imaging results via email which they did. While I would not recommend anyone to need medical help, if you do need such a place in Hanoi, this is where you should go.

Went there at 9pm. Called before to check the costs and the. Spontaneously went. Very clean rooms. Super friendly staff, nurse and doctor. Received all information for the insurance. Had to pay in advance (obviously), but first when we left. NaCl IVs and antibiotics including all examinations, 4 hours being there, receiving a full blood test for malaria and dengue and some others: around 400-500 USD. Absolutely reasonable. Night fare for seeing the doctor is 30 USD more (90USD) than during daytime (60USD) In any case of severe sickness I would definitely seek this practice.

This is a professional and well organised practise. It has a lab and pharmacy onsite so you can get accurate diagnosis and treatment straight away. We required tests for Influenza and they were done within half an hour. The doctor, pharmacist and nurse we saw had a calm and kind approach that put us completely at ease. As I speak no Vietnamese it was a bonus that the staff are all fluent in English. What is more, the doctor prescribed us some mild drugs that have eased our symptoms enough for us to resume our holiday. Don't hesitate to call. Thank you!

Decent service BUT be aware that when they say ‘do you wanna lie down?’ It means hospitalization. I had a horrible Migraine and was out of it not thinking straight and first time at a Hanoi hospital. The hospitalization for 1-4 hours is 170$ CAD. so much money that I didn’t even know I was paying for until I got the bill after. Make sure to clarify costs as you go. No one told me saying yes to lying down would cost this much and rarely be covered by insurance. Rookie mistake but also misinformation from the staff. Other than that I survived.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience after having issues with my left ear since scuba diving a week ago. I showed up without an appointment. After filling the paperwork I was shortly seen by a doctor who spoke fluent English and quickly identified the issue (burst blood vessel/otitis media), prescribed medicine and answered all the questions I had. The clinic seemed a bit hectic with a lot of patients and staff around in the entry lobby, however everything seemed well organised and it was all completed very quickly.

Very good service, bit expensive maybe but we had an insurance. English was very good. We visited twice. First unannounced, and I was provided with almost immediate care. The doctor ran some tests and gave me some medication. The second time, we scheduled an appointment through WhatsApp on Sunday, and when we arrived, my wife was immediately taken care of, and the doctor gave her some antibiotics. Staff is very polite and attentive. This exceeded my expectations. Very comparable to any standard 'western' facility.

I made an appointment for 8:00 am. I double confirmed prior to visiting the clinic. When I arrived the nurse took my blood pressure and told me to wait for the doctor. At 8:30 I heard the nurse on the phone with the doctor who said “I do not have patients today.” So I spent 30 min in a cab to get to a place that didn’t even tell the doctor I was coming. They asked me to wait “maybe 1 hour” for the doctor so I left. Horrible customer service.

Have been here with my wife several times, sometimes we have to wait 2 hours despite that we have an appointment. Many times you just sit and wait and when you ask one of five people working in the reception they have no idea why you are there ore what the doctor is planning with you. Its also expensive. You are just a bucket of money for them. There are a few hospitals in Hanoi but heard that the new Vinmec is really good and much cheaper.

Ik heb hele goede ervaringen met het medical center, met name oogarts Dr Nguyen. Ik kwam binnen met ernstige Uveitis en heb hem hiervoor 4x bezocht. Hij heeft het goed in de gaten gehouden en het is dankzij hem goed genezen. Het medical center komt accuraat, hygienisch en kundig over. Men spreekt er Engels, wat erg fijn is! Vriendelijke medewerkers. Ik raad Family Medical Practice Hanoi iedereen met een medisch probleem aan.

What a relief to have such an excellent and willing team at FMP in Hanoi! I usually go to the Saigon locations because I am based there, but I had a massive scare with an eye infection. Luckily, Dr. Nguyen Duc Anh came in on Sunday to see me and could diagnose and prescribe medicine. Now, about 24 hours later, I am feeling so much better! Thank you, doctor, and the team at FMP Hanoi!

Came here in an emergency and was seen right away. The place is clean and I felt comfortable. It’s a little expensive but you get what you pay for. I wish there was an online appointment system, it was frustrating to arrive and not have the correct doctor available! I was still seen very quickly and efficiently and would 100% come again.

I went there after I had been hit by a motorbike. They were super quick, and thorough. I had X-rays taken and been bandaged then discharged with in the hour. My cards weren't working so they let me email transfer them the money. Yes it is WAY more expensive than similar service but they are dependable and everything is in english.

先日受診しました。処方された薬で快方しましたが、受付から会計まで、従業員の方の態度は悪く、医師の診察は何故かタメ口ですし、その後気になることがあってホットラインに電話しても繋がらず、ベトナムなので高い質のサービスは求めてないですが不愉快になりました。当人たちも好きでベトナムで働いてるわけではなさそう。日本に帰ればいいのに。 何年か前にいらした医師やスタッフの方はもういないみたいですし、保険会社からの指示がなければもう行くことはないと思いました。 医療の質はある程度担保されてるので、不快になってもいいと思う方は問題ないと思います。また、英語ができる方は日本人ドクターのいる日中は避けて、夜間帯に行かれたほうが無難かと思いました。

I arrived at 2 am alone and was shocked by their high level of service and professionalism. Yes, the price is not particularly cheap, but health is not compromised. Very professional, very clean, very kind. We came to inquire about a vaccine for Japanese Encephalitis, and consulted with a doctor and received the vaccine. All staff speak English; there seem to be services in Chinese and Korean, as well. They do vaccines, as well as general medical, and emergency.

I had to remove some stiches during my holiday and went to the Family Medical Practice Hanoi. Everything was very clean and the staff very professional. Speaking english was no problem and I did not have to wait to get treated. Maybe it is a little bit expensive. But you get what you pay for.

Good for foreigners!! I’ve been there because of a infection on a mosquito bite. The receptionists and the doctors speak really good English and are really friendly. I got an appointment straight away and didn’t had to wait. The facilities are clean and the doctors are really professional.

We have had good experiences so far with Family Medical. Their doctors have provided accurate assessment and treatment of the few ailments our family has had. However with the experience and infrastructure comes high expense. If paying out of pocket be ready to fork over some serious cash!

This is one of the good family medical clinics in Hanoi. I have been treated for travel medication. Hospital staff are very friendly and managed very well for international travellers. I was treated by Dr. Hiroshi Chaba , I would appreciate his experience and treatment methodologies.

Đây là bệnh viện dành cho người nước ngoài có uy tín cao tại Hà nội. Có thể giao dịch bằng tiếng Anh hoặc tiếng Nhật,... phù hợp với người nước ngoài khi muốn khám bệnh. Tuy nhiên giá thành cũng tương đối cao có lẽ chỉ dành cho người có điều kiện hoặc người nước ngoài.

We are from Canada. My husband had tonsillitis. We got an appointment within 1 hour of calling. He was examined, had blood work and tests done with results and given medications all under 2 hours. We were quite pleased with the service and everyone spoke English.

I want to let the doctors and nurses know how pleased i am with my visit to your first class clinic. I was treated very kindly by every one and the doctors gave me a feeling of being in very capable hands. It was a good day for me thanks to you one and all.

Went here for the final rabies shot I needed. I was told on the phone it may cost up to $90 USD, depending on the doctor who sees you. i saw Dr. Nalpas and he kindly waived the consultation fee. I was in and out within an hour and only paid $37 USD!

Cant say enough great things about this hospital, friendly staff that speak good english. I came in without and appointment with a fractured foot, got good and quick help. Felt safe, I hope I dont have to visit again but I would 100% come back.
