11/7/23 Update - I heard this guy was fired and he also had a criminal record on file. Well that explains it. But I love everyone else here and changing my rating. 03/12/23. Around 15:45. The tall Middle Eastern-looking male at the register is a complete jerk. I asked him nicely if the price with credit card same as when you pay with cash - he said yes. I started pumping and then noticed on the pump it says $4.77 not $4.67 like the large sign read. I went back and asked about the discrepancy. He said, "You'll get credit back onto your card if you overpaid." I asked how do I get credit if I was charged more than the cost of the gas? It didn't make sense to me. He said "I don't know, it's been like this all morning. I don't know and I really don't care to be honest. The manager will be here 4pm and you can talk to him." I waited. He then proceeds to re-print my purchase receipt which doesn't say I get credit. I asked him where does it show I get credit? He replies, "It's $.10 more if you pay with a credit card. Do you understand?!!!! That's all I have for you. You want other receipts I could print you all receipts of the store if that makes you happy." Really condescending, rude, and loudmouth. I said, "You could have just told me it's $0.10 more and not lie to me upfront and be such a jerk." To which he replied "Well yes, I'm a jerk, what are you going to do? Get the f out of here or I’ll call the cops on you. I have the right to refuse service to anyone." I said, "I’ll talk to your manager." To which he replied "The manager is not coming, have a nice day. You can come tomorrow!!!" I am a female and he spoke to me like he is a gangster. I don't expect a 5-star service from a gas station, but really simple honest communication upfront could have avoided all of this so unnecessary interaction. Another employee came and this jerk asked me to leave because they’re doing a shift change. I left and waited outside, and another employee came out and issued me $1 refund. I explained to the other gentleman the issue and he said "Yeah, he's being hostile right now, sorry about that." Just treat people with respect and don’t be so hostile. That man scares me the way he comes off with his demeanor, threatening to call cops on people who pose no threat or harm, and creating a hostile environment. Falsely calling the police is a punishable crime, and I could have reported this to the licensing board. I loved coming to this gas station. I don't want to be anywhere near that man, so I will go elsewhere. Thanks again to the other gentleman, he helped diffuse the situation.

Air compressor has been broken for a couple of months (or was broken two different times a couple of months apart). I reported to the attendant the first time. This morning it still didn't work. When I pointed out it didn't work, he said "I turned it on." He then said "What do you want me to do?". When I said that it was a state law to provide compressed air to customers, he just started saying "Have a nice day" repeatedly. The gas is cheap, but I will be going across the street for better service (and the same price or cheaper gas).

Cheapest place in Clairemont for gas an pretty much everything in the store is cheaper compared to other stores. There Gatorade is 1.19$ an the monsters are just as cheap. They got good beer prices as well. When gas is cheap there is always a line just a heads up. The owner is a funny guy he'll try an charge you to use the restroom 50 cents to go in an 50 cent to come back out lol. He's joking of course but funny to see people reaction when there told that.

I asked for an oil change, regular not synthetic. Homeboy said "What year is your car?" I said "2016 Hyundai Elantra". He said "Your car is too new to have regular oil added. Don't worry, it's only 40 dollars." I'm like "That's a lie. Can you do regular oil please?" He said "Honestly, I can't touch your car without synthetic oil". I said "Bye"

I purchased 91 Premium gas here my car started to run poorly so I took it into the shop the next morning. My mechanic removed a neon green liquid that smells of acetone and ethanol. I spent $50 on a tank of gas, maybe saved $5, but now have to have pay to get my car worked on to fix all the issues this "gas" caused.

Best gas prices west of 805 at this intersection of Genesee and Clairemont Mesa. Somehow prices on this corner are routinely 20-25 cents less per gallon than just up the street. Very cheap yet decent coffee (79 cents) and the usual assortment of gas station goodies. Friendly proprietor.

We have used this place several times and every time we do our debit and or credit card gets hijack we've reported it to no avail so we don't go here anymore we get the same price good price across the street Clairemont Auto Care

The prices are to high I went to buy a monster energy it used to sell it for $1.99 and know it coast $2.50 I don’t recommend going there anymore I’ll go to arco even better I like how the previous owner had his price.

06/10/2022 Cheap regular gas at $5.97 cash price. Very busy place because of the price. Even regular coffee was $0.49 a cup! Store associate was pleasant with customers. #cheapgas #nomadlife #stealthcamping

When ever I am in Clairemont I stop at this gas station because they always have low gas prices. And I can get in and out quick. The people in the store are always so nice so I make sure I fill up my tank.

Got the jump on price here and actually aren't jerk offs like some of the other small gas stations. Live in Chula, but my son is going to school close by, so as long as they stay cool, they got my dough!

Probably cheapest non club across California. Even costco and base prices are sometimes more expensive. Associates are always friendly and helpful since I started using the gas station a year ago.

I filled in gas of $45 (9.11 gallons). My tank goes above full when i fill this much up. But here it was 1 point down full. I strongly feel they have tempered their filing station machine..

They usually have the best gas prices! since they're located on a corner it's easy in and out! Another thing I like is that when you use your debit card there's no extra charges! Love that

4 stars because of the gas prices, but the pumps are SO slow so so so so slow. One time it took 15 minutes to fill my truck up from empty but on average it's 10 minutes.

Great price for fuel but they don't have the courtesy of a letting us use the restroom and I know that they do have one it is rude …

Went to get gas, inquired about a smog, did it right then, in and out in about 20 min, little bit more than I would've liked to pay but the quickness covered that.

Cashier claimed yoy get auto refund for credit charge. I charged $60 and got $55.50 in gas and it charged $60. The cashier is dishonest or clueless about process

*UPDATE*. Beer is too expensive, they raised the prices by 50%. It’s been real guys! The almighty dollar rules all tho. Gonna have to buy my beer at Arco now

I come here like a few tines a day. Its my husband's go to cuz everything's cheap. Mostly Tobacco we go here for, husbands goes mainly for the small talk

Place I gased up for years. Easy location, cheap gas, and as long as you don't care about washing your windows, it's a good place to gas up for the road.

Closes at. 12am but at 11:45pm lock the door and wouldn't accept our business.. We were going to spend over $100 before our trip the desert. Bad service

Usually the least expensive gas in San Diego. Far from the freeways, but they also have a nice selection of glass and they are very polite.

They have a great selection of snacks and beverages. The gas station attendant is so patient and polite. IMHO best gas station in town.
