I was invited there by an acquaintance and it is a very nice sanctuary but i did not understand the women who were doing this strange processional during the offering, they looked like pallbearers with no casket. the pastor made an altar call and then told a lady to go back and sit down because she didn't get to the altar fast enough. she also called out somebody from the pulpit for being on their phone, she might have been talking to me because i was tying a knot in a thread that was hanging from my sweater and she thought i was on on the phone or might have been talking to someone else. not sure. i really don't remember what she preached about because i didn't care for the way she was talking to people. a girl did accept Christ, though. that proves that God does his work in spite of us. i would not return, however. i left as soon as i could and was very disappointed. if you like those types of churches you might like it but i like churches where the pastor acts like a Christian. and i never saw anywhere in the Bible where Christ refused to pray for someone for any reason. even the Syrophonecian woman got prayer for her daughter because she was willing to eat the crumbs from the master's table. Take me to the king...
Its been about a year sine I have been to visit this church, my mom came to visit and wanted to go a local church here in the Bronx. We just randomly choose this church. What a beautiful experience. During the sermon, which was given by a visiting pastor I realized that the church was going through a transition since their longtime pastor had passed on to be with his creator. You could sense that there was a bit of sadness in the air, but it seemed more towards the tail end, almost like they knew he was in a better place. On my most recent trip things were in full swing. The committee had selected its new pastor and the congregation packed past its limit had me assuming that there might be some good things happening. And there was. I won't mention about my personal experience there but I will say... in this house you get what you need. I was humbled, educated and refocused on what my true role is in this time of my life. Thank you for the Fellowship...
This was the first pantry I visited for nutritional help in time of need. I am thankful for the quality of service's I received . Please note II'm spreading the word on their offerings of feeding those in need. I Thank You.
I was invited by a friend and had a great experience. Everyone was so welcoming and the Pastor is truly refreshing and teaches the Bible.
