Short version – highly recommended professional and decent contractors. Longer version… Often, the path to making the acquaintance of roofing contractors for homeowners start somewhat unpleasantly: leaking roofs. Exceptions exist to such a path, I am certain, however mine was rather typical. Having endured quite a poor roof terrace conversion and a leaking roof (not directly related) during the wetter latter part of 2022, I was rather stressed. Having invited four NFRC-accredited roofing contractors, Phil got in touch promptly, organised a site visit and sent a comprehensively detailed quote, complete with actual pictures of the roof he has surveyed, pointing out potential issues, sample pictures of how it may look once completed and particulars of the materials for the job. This was above my expectation, and compared extremely favourably to the other contractors, where one did not provide a quote, and two with somewhat incomplete quotes. Having read up a bit more on fibreglass flat roofs, I decided to commission Fibrespan. When work started, two very friendly gentlemen, Shane and Rob, turned up in the morning, chatted through the process and gave a brief update of progress before leaving for the day. Throughout the 3-4 days they were working on the roof, they’ve been very professional – keeping the site as tidy as possible, considerate with noise, quick to address any concerns / questions, and never ceased to explain things patiently. Phil was proactive in follow-ups during and after the works. Overall, a very positive experience

I attended the Ideal Home Exhibition at Olympia, London. Fibrespan UK were exhibiting and the salesman Philip Dales promised to have a new Fibreglass Flat Roofing System installed in no time. The product looked great and suited my requirements. My old roofing felt had failed and I was looking for a long term solution to fix my issue. After a few weeks my survey date was planned for the 3rd April 2023. Photos detailing how the new Fibrespan GRP roof would look, images were fantastic and explained how the flat roofing system wood look. I received a quote via email several weeks later. This was for over £4,000 (yes, four thousand pounds), No small job. After phoning a few times, I was told by the call handler in the London Head Office that someone will call back, which happened a few day later. Think Quality - The product exceeds expectations and looks great. Think Performance - The performance is something only time will tell, however from the quality of the materials used, I feel this will outlast any other product on the market at the moment and I would definitely recommend. Think Fibrespan UK - From start to finish the workmanship and professionalism shown on the finished look is fantastic. You might find the price isn't the cheapest, but when it comes to a new or replacement flat roof that will last and a company who actually cares about your needs. There glossy brochure is a corporate marketing instrument to promote there product and service's and is a great way to show how your new roof will look.

Cannot recommend this company enough. Our neighbour's ceiling collapsed after what had apparently been a slow leak over years from our flat roof above. It was a nightmare. Philip and his team were amazing. We spoke to Philip almost every day through the process. When he said they'd be here, they were. They got the work done at the first available dry spell and had the roof completely removed and rebuild within 4 days. The guys were lovely - honestly, we almost miss them being here. And knowing Philip would call back whenever we needed to go over something was a huge relief in stressful circumstances. The job looks beautiful and after dealing with them, I know their guarantee means what they say it does. One thing that stood out in particular - I needed to ask another neighbour for roof access to bring over some materials. He was hesitant so I brought one of the Fibrespan guys over to give him some expert opinion on what would be involved. The neighbour asked if he knew what he was doing and he immediately pointed to his uniform and said "I'm from Fibrespan" and he really meant it. This wasn't a manger or foreman. You don't get that kind of bottom up trust for free. He had total faith in his own company and I can see why. Amazing.

I have used Philip and his team many times over the years, both as an associated business, and personally. It would be difficult to find a more professional and passionate company. They have been at the top of their game for many years and are one of those companies that actually do what they say! I started using them many years ago as their accreditations seemed to me to be a sign of a company who want to offer the best possible service at the same time as giving assurances that the company has been scrutinised by the various bodies that have accredited it. As a client, this level of comfort really makes a difference. It also helps that the guarantees are insurance backed too. There are few companies out there with this level of professionalism and every job that I have witnessed by them has been superb. Philip, the owner, seems to me to have an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of roofing methods and techniques, which is also a great sign that the company knows what they are doing. All in all, a smashing company to work with and, in 10 years, I have never had the slightest problem with Philip and his team that couldn't be resolved very quickly and efficiently. A rare gem in an otherwise very difficult market place!

We had an extremely positive experience with Philip who, together with his wife, owns Fibrespan. From very first contact Philip was outstandingly proactive in helping us with an urgent replacement of a leaking gully. He is both expert and enthusiastic about his speciality, and completely customer focused. Two small extra items to main roof and french doors requiring temporary repair were included without fuss, on the basis that he was happy to help. When making the french door repair, he conscientiously did not do the work as requested because he discovered that it might make the problem worse: an exercise in good sense. The two men who came to do the main work were polite, friendly and on time. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards, and most importantly left behind a well finished gully that the surveyor who managed the work for us fully approved of. There was a problem with a drain pipe that leaked after replacement, but Philip fixed it using the correct compound, as explained to the surveyor. Philip seems a genuinely honest, enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable tradesman, who provides both a good product and a good service. We are happy to recommend him and will use his services again.

It is unusual for me to write online reviews however I felt the quality of service, professionalism and delivery was such that a review was warranted. Philip is a friendly guy and was the consummate professional in terms of advice and guidance. We had quite a bit of a back/forth largely due to my nervousness to engage with a firm that i have had only read online reviews about and had had no personal recommendations for. Philip was quite patient and spoke through my options and gave sound advice on aspects i was unsure about. He was flexible in terms of delivery especially given the Great British weather. The team were very professional when creating the roof throughout the day that I barely realised when they had finished - there was minimal fuss and/or mess. The finish looks great, and has held up excellently so far (its been a few weeks in and we've had multiple downpours already). Even my builder was impressed and requested their contact details for other jobs.

Great job from very professional team. We went for Fibrespan even though they didn’t offer the cheapest quote. We bought our house in May and found out soon after that the flat roof had been badly installed and was leaking in multiple places. We had loads of quotes and Philip was far and away the most professional. He gave a very detailed quote that not only fixed the issues but significantly improved the roof design. His team were Raul and Mike. They worked incredibly hard, made adjustments and improvements to the design as they proceeded and uncovered multiple horrors but there were no extra charges. Raul and Mike were polite and respectful. After completion we found that we had a leak issue with a seal on an opening skylight which was never part of the roof project and not in any way related to it but Philip has offered to help us fix this for no charge. Could not recommend more highly. Will try and post some before and after pictures when I have a moment.

I had many quotations for my new roof but was very impressed by Philip from the first visit. He explained everything to me in terms I understood, gave me many options and gave me what I considered a good prove on my quotation. I booked the work in but unfortunately his team was delayed for a couple of days on another job, these things happen but he informed me and kept me up to date so we could liase with other trades. His team arrived nice and early and were impeccable, their manners, cleanliness and skill. Nothing was a problem, they even helped me move some rather heavy garden furniture without hesitation. The quality of the roof is nothing short of magnificent, I’ve seen many pictures of other companies work and nothing comes close to their quality, true tradesmen which is rare nowadays. I’ve just had building works done and installed a skylight. I decided to bring my chosen company in independent from my contractors. Well I’m glad I did! I needed the roof to be fibreglassed and the skylight fitted by a company that I felt I could trust and work with meeting all my deadlines and do a job beyond my expectations. I have to say I’m very impressed with the team with their efficiency and care taken during the installation and leaving my property clean and tidy after the job. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others. My contractor was also very impressed and will be using them on their future jobs. Took a while to get the work started due to the weather but Philip did keep me up to date and answered any of my questions Works were for removal of old felt roof, gutters, fascia boards and drain pipes Installation of new fibre roof with cold insulation with fall correction and new fascia boards and guttering. The team we had over were great, Raul and Mike we're very courteous and professional even in the mini June heatwave, works done were clean and while i had concerns about some patches that i discussed with Phil, i was told it was due to the drying process but will blend over time, so will keep an eye on it Team and company 5/5 Work 5/5 Finish ... 4/5 just due to that odd patch which i can't stop staring at

We tried several companies to find someone who could carry out the work we needed. We were working on a tight timescale and needed the work done at quite short notice. Philip came to view the work needed and discuss what we'd need. He was really helpful and informative, explaining the reasons behind what they'd do and how. it would benefit us. When they turned up to do the job, they were on-time, did exactly what they said they'd do and cleaned up afterwards. The work was of a very high standard and was just what we needed. Saw two vans yesterday from this company in a builders merchants and was going to take their number for some future projects. Changed my mind once I saw that all their employees were not wearing masks or keeping to social distancing inside the shop. Disgraceful really. Government guidelines are very clear but this company chose to ignore them. To me this makes them untrustworthy and I wouldn’t like them on one of my projects. Shame they feel they are above the law. I did call them to report their staff, I left my details and expected a call back but got nothing. Not very professional I’m afraid.

It's hard to know who to trust these days, we called three fibreglass flat roofing companies in London first, two didn't turn up and the final company called with excuses. Then we struck gold, Phillip from Fibrespan answered and true to his word his team turned up on time, were pollite, punctual and most importantly did a seriously good job. Will keep this short, be careful of the ‘50 year warranty’ basically no one can step on your roof for 50 years except Fibrespan if you want the warranty to have a chance of working, maybe even then. You will be preached at by Philip about ‘customer service’, all talk, you are left chasing him for weeks, and he might come back with an odd sms always promising to return your calls ‘when I am back in the office’, don’t wait, go get yourself a reliable roofing company. Mark my words.

I have used this company for 2 different properties. Both times a fantastic service, but the most recent was amazing. I had a builder who totally screwed up the roof on my extension, so I rang Fibrespan who came and had a look and sorted me out. I had to wait a bit for them to come and do the roof, because they are so busy, but it was totally worth it. So helpful and communication is brilliant. All the staff are so polite and hard working. I honestly can't thank them enough.

Philip and the Fibrespan team did a brilliant job re-doing and reparing our roof, and the roof terrace in our flat. A complicated job, as we live abroad and our terrace had failed in several places after the flat being rented out for a while, however Philip and his team simply got on with it, completed when they said they would for a very reasonable price, and kept us well informed on the progress through-out. I got Fibrespan to entirely replace my Fibreglass roof after it was installed very badly by another company. I had to wait a while because they are so busy but it was absolutely worth the wait.
