Hello, My name is Brent Bundy and l have been bicycling for Breast cancer on the Australian east coast from Sydney to Cairns and back. I came over from the States in November of 2019 for that reason and will be completing the bicycle ride by walking in the Mother's Day 25th Anniversary Breast Cancer event on May 8th at the Domain. I always make a point of Stopping and visiting our heroes at tha fire stations as l pass. I would be so proud to walk my bicycle with any our precious Firefighters who wish to join me in the event at the Domain on the morning of the 8th. Sincerely yours, Brent Bundy Ridegump on Facebook ( would someone please forward to Head Chief of fire NSW- thanks ) Please note: Benjamin Chinnock is my contact at Cancer Council NSW ) Also tried to contact Event Director! Do not know the name.
You might see the two red engines of the fire service, sirens wailing, speeding along Elizabeth Street. "Flyer" and "Runner". Firefighters do an incredible job - not only do they fight fires but they also rescue people and more importantly - and less excitingly - they prevent fires. The building is ancient - there's something like a fire museum inside. Bit of a nervous place to visit though - with the engines always on call. Is possible to go inside on one of the Sydney Open days, put on by Sydney Living Museums. Website for details.

Thanks Primrose, Nathan and the crew. It was a blast.
Thank you so much to the kind man who gave my daughter who just passed by and saw the magnificent fire truck a coloring in book. She held it it through dinner and up until her bed time. Such kindness that makes such a difference in this world. Thank you so much. P.S she gets really shy around strangers but she really loved seeing a real life fireman too!
I am falling into dementia and got lost today for the first time. I asked your department for directions back to Sydney Harbour YHA, not knowing the name. At the time I was not holding it together. You calmness helped. You are true caring professionals. Thank you, Lance Davis, Las Vegas, NV
This place was amazing, let the kids pop in for a look at the trucks and gave them some little goodies to take with them. Such a sweet and unexpected experience for the kids as we just happened to be walking past at the right time. They will remember this for a long time.
If you wander past here with a kid under the age of 10 they basically insist on giving you a really great guided tour complete with a sit in a fire engine. The stuff of legends.
Fantastic people. I ask them to see the facicities and take some pics for my father because he was a fireman in Spain and they were very kind
