This is a nice hair salon. No appointments needed. It gets very busy on weekends so best time is weekdays between 4pm to 6pm OR weekday mornings, if you can make it. All the ladies are nice and polite.They try to acknowledge everyone who comes in but I don't blame them in busy times. If they keep acknowledging/tending new customers than they get distracted from their current job and tend to forget what cut they were doing OR they delay acknowledging. In both cases, they will get negative reviews. I guess that's the thing with no appointments so try to go at non busy times for best service. First Choice should come up with an app to manage queues in their stores which would prevent these issues. The ladies ask for your choice at every point. Sides, Front, Back or Top. I have been with Anastasia, Tetanya, Pashke & Sabrina and they are all nice. A suggestion is to please always keep hair a bit longer than whats requested. This way, you can still go back and fix it. Once its short, it's over!

Very rude receptionist at the Grand Parkview Location. Wanted to make an appointment for my 2 yr old son and it felt like a crime for booking an appointment for someone his age because the stylists "wouldn't be comfortable" and if he were to move too much the hair cut would be stopped there and then. Also was told to have his mask on the whole time. Who can guarantee that for a 2 year old? I understand that it may be a little difficult to manage younger kids getting haircuts but there is a way to put it across to parents without sounding condescending and if you are accepting kids as clients in general the stylists should be trained on how to interact with them and make the kids comfortable in the first place. There is a difference when you say: 'don't be late otherwise we won't take you' vs 'please be on time because we have other appointments lined up'. Needless to say I cancelled my sons appointment at this location and won't be going there.

On Monday, Dec20th, the stylist Sabrina H. was in a huffing RAGE because I was 12 mins late for my haircut appointment. What she did as soon as I walked in the door was the absolute WORST, most DISRESPECTFUL behaviour (not customer service but behaviour) I have EVER come across from any staff anywhere. I had to leave right away for two reasons- for how she MISTREATED me in front of other customer and staff (Tatiana) and secondly, because RAGING Sabrina H with a scissor in her hand is a SCARY thought. I was a regular at this salon and I would ask for her because I liked the cuts she gave me. She was always rough in her behaviour but I always tried to brush it off. But she CROSSED the line today. Learn to be professional, this is not your house where you can yell and stomp and treat people like dirt. You didn’t treat me like a customer. You don’t deserve my business.

We had few horrible experiences at FCH located at Winners Centre D7 - 3920 Grand Park Dr Mississauga ON. Today being the third such experience. Today 14 May, for our 10:30 AM appointment (child’s haircut), we were not served even @ 11 AM. And then at 11 AM someone else was given the spot!!! When I asked about it, the African American lady working there responded very rudely - “THATS HOW IT WORKS HERE”. We pointed it’s not the right thing to give your spot away to someone and they simply didn’t do anything about it. I have been going there for years but regret it now. There were other instances where the same lady mentioned above talked really rude as to why we gave our child a haircut on our own (COVID peak times). This location will loose more customers if it doesn’t replace / change the staff for good. UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE.

Rating 1 due to the carelessness that got my knee sprained. I am still in pain due to the unsafe way the salon chair was set on a black mat. The black mat was supposed to be anti slip but as soon as i stepped on it (to get on the salon chair) my leg slipped and I sprained my knee. I didnot think it was this bad till i reached home. The knee swelled by evening & i am still in pain. I could have slipped and injured my head on the furniture in front of me but somehow managed to avoid that. In that process i sprained my knee. I expect basic safe environment when i enter the salon. Is it too much to ask?? I am really pissed. They didnot bother to remove the mat after the incident and continued taking new customers at the same chair. (My hair stylist for that day was Majda.)

I usually go to get my roots done and specifically called and booked an appointment. Jenya was great and very nice to help me with the service. However when it came to pay I was very shocked to know that the price of the same service was now Doubled! I told her why was I not informed of the change in fees when I booked the appointment and how does the length of hair matter when I am getting my roots coloured. The roots service doesn't involve blow drying my hair either. I have no complaints with Jenya as she is a professional however not being told of the service charges when booking the appointment is unacceptable. Unfortunately this will be the last time I will be going to this salon for any of my hair care services.

My regular hairdresser was busy so I decided to take a chance with First Choice Haircutters. I am glad I did. Wait time was very minimal. I explained what I wanted and was pleasantly surprised with the final outcome. My hairdresser had suggestions that I had not considered previously. The overall experience of having my hair cut and styled was pleasant because of the added value of a great conversation. Overall I've given it a 5 star rating because I have no complaints whatsoever. I believe discounts are also provided if one posts a review immediately after. I am also told that the site occasionally sends coupons that can be redeemed here. The location is easy to get to with ample parking.

AVOID SABRINA H. AT ALL COSTS! This lady is by far the most rude and abnoxious human that you will come across. I would not recommend this hairstylist to anyone due to her utter lack of professionalism and the poor customer service I experienced. As the manager, she was was rude from the moment I walked in, accusing me of being late even though I arrived within the stated business hours. The lack of professionalism and respect for customers was extremely disappointing. The manager's attitude and demeanor made the entire experience unacceptable and I will not be returning to this establishment. It is a shame that someone with such poor customer service skills is in a management position.

Often when you get a haircut, you can’t really tell if you like it till you go home have a shower and try styling it yourself. That’s what happen with me. I went in yesterday and got a really short haircut by Sabrina. But after having a shower last night and sleeping on it and then trying to stylet this morning, I noticed that there were areas that looked a little puffy/long. I called this morning just after they opened and spoke with Sabrina. She was more than happy to have me come back in. She thinned out the areas I thought looked thick/ puffy. She even cut more when I suggested it could be a little shorter in other areas I highly recommend this location - especially Sabrina.

I called to book an appointment and they were able to take me in on the same day for hair cuts for my 3 kids. The stylists were all very friendly, respectable and professional. To say the least very quick as I had also brought my 4 year old son, not to get a hair cut but accompanied me with the girls. One of the stylist was Sabrina H, (I think) she had purple nails and the other two stylist, I didn't get their names, but gave girls a cute, fun hair cut. The salon was clean and the stylist wiped down counter, and the interac machine before and after I used it. This is a thumbs up in my eyes.

I have visited this saloon today. I am giving average rating as they have only limited services. The manager said only hair cut/styling can be done. No waxing or threading services are available due to absence of staff. It’s an additional effort for any customer to visit another saloon if they need threading/waxing/facial etc. Since they listed all services in their catalogue online, I assumed the list will be available which are very basic services that any saloon will offer.But ended up with disappointment as they do not offer any other service except haircut.

My mom, my daughter and myself have been coming to this location for years and they never disappoint! All the staff are incredibly friendly (especially Sabrina) and very welcoming. Even though things look a little different because of all the COVID changes, I still feel safe getting my hair cut because they take all the necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety and are constantly cleaning to make sure all the surfaces, products and tools are sanitized for all the customers in the store. I definitely recommend this location for all your hair needs!

We came for kids hair cut. Lady with long hairs was so nice and gentle with kid. But there was another lady (white hair short like boys) who kept murmuring throughout our time there and she was murmuring about us to other customer on her chair. I don’t know the reason why she has problem with us, we were very gentle. Don’t show your personal people (color) choices in business. We won’t be coming back again. Worst of all is, she repeatedly said my kid is sick as she was coughing little bit. Why the hell she would call my child sick ?

First time at First Choice Grand Park, and could not be happier with my hair and overall experience. I was greeted immediately upon entering the salon, and although it was a little busy (Saturday afternoon) I was serviced with a very short wait time! Tatiana was my stylist who did a fantastic job! I left with my hair looking and feeling extremely healthy! Will definitely return for future hair cuts and highly recommend Tatiana and this location to anyone looking for a great and affordable hair cut!

First thing I want to address is the safety and I felt safe while getting my hair cut. The staff and customers were all very respectful of social distancing and I feel that all cleaning measures taken kept myself, other customers and staff safe. Now on to the service, my hair looks great, staff were friendly, polite and professional, work stations were clean and organized, and they were very quick. I am very happy I made the decision to visit this First Choice location. 10/10

I have an important event this weekend and was unable to see my Barber of 4 years. This First Choice location is convenient for me so I decided to give it a shot to freshen up. Anastasia cut my hair and was very thoughtful. Knowing I had come there for a quick clean up, she walked me through each step of her process so she knew I was comfortable with each cut. Overall I was pleased with my experience and will choose them (Anastasia) again when I am in a bind.

I needed to change my look, and was confused about it since a long time. Stylist helped me and gave me a good haircut. But I wasn't quite satisfied since my hair looked bluntly straight at the bottom. So i requested for a little more layers and not sure why she ended up giving me too many layers which don't look like they should since they were not done properly. I feel all the more weird now and so regret my decision. Just Hoping my hair grows up soon

This place has inflated reviews. I gave it a good rating only because they give you discount for reviewing them and I was stupidly selfish as well. To be honest, that lady didn't want to cut my hair as per my request. She kept insisting on not cutting much because her thick fingers could only cut so much. At the end I had to cut a bit of my own hair and comb my own hair. Why did I ask pay you in the first place? You had one job.

The customer service here is incredibly bad! Decided to give it a try on my birthday last week and hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. Asked the lady with the eyeglasses to give me a nice clean fade and she did a terrible job, took her literally 10 minutes to do that so I’m like already? And she’s like duh isn’t that what you asked for? Like how rude can a person be with their customers?

I went here yesterday to get my haircut and the girl at the front desk was extremely rude. Basically ignored me while I stood right in front of her. Will not go back to this place I truly believe first impressions at these types of business are everything. Instead I went next door to diva nails and spent $60. Totally worth it diva nails is amazing!

We just walked in a minute ago to get haircut for my daughter. The front desk lady was so rude and had such bad attitude.She was literally rolling eyes while talking to us. Very welcoming and professional salon. So pleased with fantastic service and my hair style. My hair was done by Pashke who is an excellent stylist. Pashke is an artist and l am thrilled l found so talented stylist who also provides an exceptional customer service. I would recommend her most definitely. You will be as happy as l am for sure.

I was satisfied with my haircut. The hairdresser was very meticulous and I can tell that she takes her time. I am glad the lady who did my hair asked me first if I want a mousse or gel applied to my hair and she did not just do it. I believe they charge extra if they add anything to your hair after blow drying it, correct me if I’m wrong.

We were new in the area and had the whole family’s hair cut here. The team here is great. They check you in and set the right expectation on estimated wait times. The whole family including my son(4yrs) and daughter(9yrs) loved our haircuts. The team here is truly hard working and courteous. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

My first experience was great thanks to Anastasia she did a perfect haircut. My second visit wasn't the same I didn't like how my hairdresser (not Anastasia but another hairdresser) couldn't take instructions very well and messed up my hair pretty bad even after pointing out the hairdresser just couldn't see the how bad it was.

Jenya was very friendly and offered me some great tips on styling and colour maintenance. She did a great job and I'm loving how my hair looks. She even gave me a ballpark quote before we started so there wouldn't be any surprises at the register. The salon is clean and bright and all the staff I encountered were friendly.

I had requested for a haircut that would give some volume to my 2ac hair and i was very clear about the requirements yet all the got was a regular trim which made no difference at all and i paid a hefty amount. Reason for charging so much - i have long hair. Very disappointed with the service i got for the amount i paid.

This is a great place and they are very covid conscious. They disinfected between each customer and everybody was wearing masks. They were very professional and got me my haircut in a timely manner with a great staff that is very experienced. Overall, they were great and I would recommend this place to others.

Safety precautions are prevalent. You cannot enter unless let in, and other covid measures are enforced. I got a hair cut only. Price is not set by length which is great because I have really long hair. The service was good overall. A great place to go for a quick cut. I'll be making an appointment for color.

I was looking for a good salon and I sorted on google by rating and ended up here. Definitely not a 4.7 stars place and I understand why: they give you a 10% discount if you give them a good rating. Service is decent for a cheap haircut but rating is misleading.

My haircut was done in 10 mins. I asked for a low fade and the hairdresser just changed two clips and converted my hair into a dirt bike circuit. And when I asked her to merge the fade properly she said "it's your hair, it is standing straight".
