I was walking my dog on the street and she peed. Not poo "which I always pick up". The First Presbyterian church staff chased me down in a white Nissan Murano and an older woman and man harassed me. Not with kindness and loving energy for the good lord, but out of hate and negative energy. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. I said my dog didn't not use the restroom on their property and they did not believe me. I live downtown and I alway pick up poo and trash to better our city. I want to remind the staff at "the church that's supposed to be humble, forgiving and understanding" of a Bible verse Roman's 4.. Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” I hope this finds you well and brings a realization to your organization of what Jesus would do and not the hateful judgment upon others. I will spare this post pictures of the human poo, toilet paper, cans of beer, trash and debris all over the property. God bless, even Christians aren't perfect and I have no hard feelings to the surprising hard verbal lashing I received by my neighbors.

I grew up in this church as did 4 generations of my family before me and my own children.. making 6 generations. We are far from perfect... only forgiven. I would like to apologize to Chris regarding his dog walking incident. I'm certain the response you received was not intended to be rude, however it obviously felt that way and for that I am truly sorry, as both a member and elder of FPC. I hate to think anyone sharing downtown Jax with us would feel we are not all in this world together and hopefully holding hands. Perhaps we will meet at FPC someday - take this as my personal invitation to you - and if we ever have a blessing of the pets make certain you bring your 4 legged family member!

First Pres is a church that cares about people - all people. The church holds to traditional Presbyterian values of thoughtful faith, cultural engagement, and active service. The preaching ministry is strong and solidly biblical. The music ministry is traditional. They truly sing the faith! The church embraces it's down-town location and hosts and resources many ministries that care for the poor and homeless. If you desire to love and bless the city of Jacksonville, this is a good place to be.

Very friendly, everyone makes you feel part of the Church, Pastor Scott is the Best. I've just recently started attending as I moved from WPB and they are starting new members class this Sunday for anyone that wants to have a relationship with God.

Love the people at First Pres. Wonderful to be back after 12 years away. Looking forward to what God has in store for our corner of Downtown Jacksonville when our new Senior Pastor arrives on Father's Day 2023! Come join us.

Attended a function where several outreach ministries displayed their ministry and purpose. Also attended the Worship service there, very warm and caring Church.

That's my church I went to when I lived in Florida I got baptized there. amazing church warm and welcoming with arms wide open. I love that church.

Was told that they were housing veterans but I was misinformed. I guess this New Testament church does not follow Matthew 25:35-46

I love what they do for the people. I have got help a few times over the years and never have been disappointed.
