"I will not step foot in this location again"
"The store is cool, they have a good variety on a lot of cute toys, books, accessories & clothes"
"I stopped in to Five Below over the past weekend to check out their new store"
"O - M - FREAKIN G!!!!! I've died and gone to heaven! I'm a Dollar Tree junkie and this store is her long lost younger, more hip, up to date little sister! While I'll continue to make Dollar Tree my go-to store for in the moment craft necessities and other minor essential and non essential stuff, I know now that if I'm goin to Dollar Tree, then I'm goin to Five Below!!!! First time in this store tonight, never heard of it until my son told me about it! San Jose store is clean, tidy, organized and pretty big - a dedicated section to all things LED, Android, iPhone and basic electronics accessories! As for the crafting section, from what I saw it's mostly paper, paint, gel pens etc"
"Interesting store! Think of it like a fully self-service experience"
I will not step foot in this location again. Last week I waited in line for 20 minutes, only to finally get up to the self checkout register to find out that you could only pay cash because the system was down. No one not to mention that to anybody who had been waiting in line. Maybe posted a sign on the registers. No, the registers still said open, and we’re ready to take customers… But technically they weren’t There was one employee that was going from machine to machine, but he was takingcare of a personal phone call at the time using his his earbuds. And to make things even more exciting I can’t find my wallet so I’ve been trying to retrace steps so I thought I would go ahead and call the store and ask them. I called six times the first five times somebody clearly answered the phone and then hung up on me before I could even ask a question. I did not get a response until I got the sense that the phone was picked up and I started talking immediately. I can only imagine what would happen if there was some sort of emergency situation. Clearly Five Below should be called Five Below a Common Sense IQ. What a joke.
The store is cool, they have a good variety on a lot of cute toys, books, accessories & clothes. However, a staff member made my 11 year old neice feel extremely uncomfortable. We were ringing our things up at the self check out & all of a sudden, we heard someone directly behind us clicking their pen really fast, non-stop. We look back & there is a staff member just staring at us with a blank face. Other customers walked up to the self check out & she greeted them in a warm, friendly tone but kept staring at us. My neice was finishing paying & she approached her from behind, getting really close to her. She asked her if she's paying cash, and she was so she asked my niece to get all her things & follow her to another register. Her tone in which she spoke to us was really arrogant, but somehow she was really friendly to everyone else. I would hate to think this was a race issue, but I can't help but feel like we got racially profiled.
I stopped in to Five Below over the past weekend to check out their new store. The family wanted to see the Knick knacks because they have a variety of products. The store has a good quantity of different items like sporting equipment, candy, and electronics, but clothing area was a little scarce. We liked one of the designs of the shirts for $5, but the last one of that pattern was not in good shape. The store is brightly lit and most things were neatly in their place. We ended up picking up a few things and tried the self check out machine. I tried the Venmo pay option, but couldn't get it to work. The cashier attendant moved me to another self check out machine because she thinks it should work, but in the end it did not. I ended up paying with credit card which was fine. Maybe they will have a different variety of stuff later and we will come back to check out the new goodies.

San Jose store is clean, tidy, organized and pretty big - a dedicated section to all things LED, Android, iPhone and basic electronics accessories! As for the crafting section, from what I saw it's mostly paper, paint, gel pens etc. but don't quote me on anything - go there and experience for yourself since I only had 30 min to shop before closing! If you like Dollar Tree, then you'll love Five Below!
Interesting store! Think of it like a fully self-service experience. I only saw 1 worker and he was near checkout. Later on I discovered he was just a prop and wasn’t doing anything there either… but more on that later. This is a great place to find knickknacks. I’d be careful of the chargers and electronics because you never know if the battery packs are quality (fire and explosion potential), but there are great toys, books, and accessories. I’d say it’s good for kids who grow out of what they like every so often…. So you don’t need to invest in the more expensive version of whatever. But at $5, it’s a steal! Lots of ♿️ parking and accessible walking paths in front of the store. Need to go up ramp to sidewalk to access the store.
Pros: the store is new-ish and has better lighting quality than older stores, there are majority of items under $5, self checkout, easily find fidgets, toys, art supplies, books, workout gear, t-shirts, etc. Cons: some items are opened and boxes are torn, some items feel cheaply made (t-shirts and material are hella thin), it seems like a lot of good stuff are low or out of stock, larger section of just candy Overall a cute store, but would only make the trip to see this store if I'm in the area. Not really a place I want to drive to every week or every other day.
Located in the Target strip mall on Cottle Road, great location.! Was still in the start up stock up phase but was fun to shop.! ️️️☂️. Great prices! Only complaint would be all cashier's are you! Employees are there to help if you screw up, however the registers are not clearly marked which ones are Cash Only!! and which registers are Cash and Credit !! Clean and lots of things to choose from !!
Staff was RUDE and didn't know much. They dont know where stuff is. Especially when I was asking about their squishmallow drop for this weekend. Upon leaving, one store employee was nice enough to give me more information on what I was asking. Also recommended me to go to their other locations to see if they had what I was looking for. Sure enough, they did. Will not be returning to this location. No Bueno!
A lot of disorganization; as much as the staff was trying to put back items that customers left in random parts of the store, there were more just lying around haphazardly. Also, the toy selection was very bare or non-existent, total hit or miss if you're looking for specific ones. More than likely will just shop online and ship to home, may get luckier with stock available for shipment.
I had heard many things about this place before coming in. It was much larger, much cleaner, much more varied than I was expecting. Definitely will be coming back to visit more. Lots of choices, lots of variety, lots of candy, it appears that all they have is self check so be prepared for that. Highly recommend coming here if you're looking for interesting and inexpensive things.
My 10 year old dragged me to this place because TikTok hyped this store up. All the cool things posted in videos were not available and out of stock. This place is like a super expensive $1 dollar store with a few extra nicknacks.
It's a nice store. however the shirts are really messy and the inventory is really light. I love the shoppability as there is space to walk and shop. Wish they had organizational bins
I love this store it's like walking back in time They sell single incense have something for everyone around $5 or less A great place for last minute gifts and stocking stuffers
Great experience! Lots of cool stuff you can find at cheap prices, up to $20. There's even stuff for your pets, your kids, or even your dorm room. Great store by the way!
I wasn't impressed. The art supplies seemed good, but I didn't need any, I didn't buy, so no comment on that. Otherwise, the store was full of unnecessary gadgets.
One of the stores I visit once a week. I like their stores. A lot of cool things and there is always something to find here. And yes, prices are more than fair.
Adorable stuff for kids, home, plenty of headphones and lights. Lots of activity toys for kids, work out stuff and even some clothes. Tons of snacks too.
Nice emplees. Big store. Variety of items. Drinks and snacks. The only thing is that almost nothing is really 5 and below. Beats me, I dont know why.
Honestly I came in trying to find a foam finger but all I found was foam but I guess I'll just finger the foam for under 5 dollars- love grandma
A surprise birthday trip from my friend had me feeling life a kid in a candy store. So many art and office supplies, so little time.
This store is so nice filkex with super good thungs games puzzles school supples yoda and home goods toys and make up too must see
YASSSSSS!!!! Where have you been all my life?!?? Excellent product choices and customer service! I'm a forever fan for sure!!
A fun, higher quality dollar store. They got good stocking stuffers type gifts and some knock off games. Worth checking out.
Not a store for me. Looks like an oversize candy shop. If you are interested in junk food this is a place for you.
I love this place! I take my niece to spoil her and leave knowing I didn’t burn a hole through my wallet …
They got that fairlife milk and every snack you need but can’t find in other grocery stores. Clean too …
Super duper fun stuff in here, great Xmas stocking stuffers and white elephant gifts, clean and organized
Five Below is a store that I can get a lot or nothing. But I must stop at every time shopping the are.a
great store! not a lot of variety compared to the east coast stores, but some great deals to be found.
Great for the kids, they went crazy. Cute place to get small gadgets, party stuff, toys and CANDY.
First time in store. Friendly staff, clean store, variety of items to choose from all $5.00&under.
Good store to take little kids but other then that good snacks. Most stuff seems low quality.
Well it was my first time I went there yesterday with my little friend and it was wonderful
The employees keep Al the hello kitty items to themselves. Don’t bother asking or coming
Items seem overpriced. Nicer than the dollar store, but not worth 5x the price . . .
Everything's on the floor, empty shelves, meh product. I'll come back another day.
I like how it has a variety of things. I jut acted to buy everything …
This is one of the coolest novelties stores in the area, and for $5 below!
First time in this store, I found so many things for a really good price.
I am not going go lie.... The bathroom was DIRTY WITH NO TOILET PAPER
They have alot of nice stuff thanks for opening it right on time!
Nice store, everything was 5 dollars or less. Staff was friendly.
Great stuff. Especially for my dogs and for small quick gifts.
Not as stocked as I thought. Not much Christmas decors
Like 5 below wish it was closer to home.
Great variety but restock is slow.
Has lots of kiddie things
