Sometimes you want to say it with flowers. Only you don’t really know how. It is a bit like going to the hairdresser before a special event (or even a date). There are things you want to express, but you don’t know how to exactly. Sometimes you meet that special expert that knows how to transform your thoughts into expressions. This cute little shop definitely hides a master of the art. I am not an expert on flowers, but I do care about communication. From the moment I entered the shop (or rather, atelier) I was never in doubt that my needs were taken care of in the most professional manner. The friendly Asian owner listens to what you are trying to convey and comes with helpful suggestions. (I even heard rumours that he used to deliver flowers to the British Queen, but I guess he will never confirm that). He creates a floral message people will remember- one of my friends was absolutely ecstatic about the bouquet he made for her. Her flowers have probably withered by now, but the message behind the lovely bouquet has persisted thanks to this flower artist. I am one of his regulars now, and I just hope that he does not get too busy as more and more people in Amsterdam flock to his atelier.

FlowerLovesMe flower store/atelier is a real gem in the city center. There are many flower shop options in the neighborhood but Byoungsung’s shop really stands out by mixing his unique variety of long lastig beautiful flowers; a very cozy even homey store mood and a very warm, expert owner. Byoungsung himself is so warm and kind; and always recommends great compositions of different flowers that unexpectedly sometimes work so well together. It has been mentioned a few times here but we really feel his shop has a variety of flowers that you almost cannot find somewhere else. We are always looking forward to what his unique, daily selection is when we walk in. Plus the blooming time of each flower are so different leading to a feeling of having a ‘new’ flower composition every day we look at them at home the days after our purchase. All in all, we fully recommend to visit as we make the effort ourselves to commute to the other side of the city and pass multiple other flower shops just to go here and be surprised by the great visual appeal and quality of its flowers.

Byoungsung and his team did an incredible job with the flowers for our wedding. He created a beautiful mantlepiece display in our ceremony space, as well as several pieces around the aisle. He also provide gorgeous dinner table flowers that matched our vision perfectly. We also got boutonnières and a bridal bouquet that were the perfect final touches. Byoungsung was great to work with - he interpreted our somewhat vague vision exactly right and joined us on a venue visit to ensure his creations would suit the space. Byoungsung was wonderful on the day, ensuring all of the flowers were positioned perfectly and even helping move some of our floral displays to different rooms so we could enjoy them throughout the day. Some of our guests managed to take flowers home and had wonderful bouquets to enjoy afterwards. We would highly recommend Byoungsung for weddings or any other occasion! I've lived and traveled all over the world, just moved to the Netherlands from the US. I can tell this shop has a lot of beautiful flowers making it a unique atmosphere. I decided to take flower arranging classes right away after I visited this place for the first time. The florist Mr. Son, has a lot of floral art experience in the UK also participated decorating flowers at royal events or posh hotels before he move to Amsterdam, understands the flowers very well and has an awesome arrangement styles. I found the flower arrangement in Amsterdam could be more formulaic, his style was not only natural but also cutting edge at the same time. A lot of people said 'Mooi!' to my flowers always on the walk home after class which is one of my favorite times of the week. I can't wait to go get more flowers from this shop!

The most positive experience, all the way from London! I wanted to surprise my friend by gifting her flowers on her birthday. The only problem: I am in London and she is in Amsterdam. I've ordered a bouquet with vase as a gift for my friend’s restaurant 5th year anniversary. Byongsung asked for my preference about colour and size. I gave him one word "GRAND", my budget and let him surprise me! A week later I picked up the "artwork" it was really georgous! He also has very detailed eyes and considered, since I was traveling with public transport so that he has prepared a travel-friendly packing for me. During the trip to my friend I already received a few compliments on how beautiful the flowers were and how incredible they smells. I was introduced to the owner when he first started selling on the market & hired him to do the flowers for an event we were catering. It was an incredible experience. Not only did he make a beautiful bouquet to thank the person who lent me the space as I asked, but he created the most beautiful floral accent corner using the unique architecture of the room. My clients were amazed when I handed out single stems of flowers as they left; something I hadn't requested that was so incredibly thoughtful. Since then I've had handpicked tulips, dramatic big headed blossoms, and always the proportions are beautiful - their is some detail that I had never noticed about that flower, and the owner himself is truly talented.

I had been looking for a great floral artist for a long time and luckily found FlowerLovesMe was right next door. Byounsung's compositions are always very delicate and very personal. Moreover, the flowers are always very fresh and all our bouquet's have lasted at least 2,5 to 3 weeks when we took good care of them. The floral diversity is really nice, and changes every 3 days! You can also ask for specific flowers which is really great. If you like more than flowers that's also fine, We found some very nice plants to cover our apartment. Anyways, if you're looking for a great floral artist, give it a go, it's very unlikely you will be disappointed.

I first met the owner when he sold in the Jordaan Lindenstraat market. He arranges the flowers beautifully, with style and a unique taste. I have bought from many florists in many cities and I would say he is one of my favorite. I also learned that he used to work in the Buckingham Palace! I've had the great privilege to take a workshop by Byoungsung in the Flower Loves Me Salon. Byoungsung's incredible eye for detail and aesthetics, and extensive knowledge on flowers and how they should be cared for was an eye opening experience for me. Me and my husband ordered a bouquet for our wedding, telling Byoungsung about our preference such as what kind of flower/color we want to put etc. He is very kind and patient to listen to us and came up with a bouquet which is way more beautiful than we imagined. I recently discovered Byoungsung’s florist shop, and was very impressed with the large variety of quality flowers. Byoungsung now delivers flowers to my home each week. Not only are the flowers stunning and different each week, but Byoungsung is also focused on my decor and aesthetic in deciding on flowers. The flower arrangements are high end, and very impressive.

I commissioned Byung Sung to do flower arrangements for the wedding. It could’ve been quite challenging because there was no particular project brief other than flowers to look ‘natural’.
