If I could gave minus on star rating, I would!!! The sale man there was a real d...head!!! I went there 3 times to try find a best deal for 9 piece dining set because one of the staff there told me they would have new display on over the weekend.. I came on the following Tuesday and got served by a nice lady. We went to a few options and not many of them in stocks. She checked a few time with her manager and did me a few options on pricing. Before I left to go to toilet, I asked her to write those agreed final options we picked, in case I came back later and she’s not there, we wouldn’t get confused. She wrote down for me. I went to toilet at Hungry Jack for 5 mins and came back proceeding with one of the options. On the last step before I paid, that rude sale man next to her stopped her saying she’s not allowed to sale for that price. She said the price was approved by the manager. He went and complained with the manager (!?). She came and explained she fot confused because there were a few different options. I showed her the written quote I got, she looked at the poor girl saying she (as the manager) would lose her job for approving this quotation. Can it be more hilarious than this? Lose the job for a sale??? The girl apologised and asked if we could do a deal at a higher price but still a good option for me. Before I could give the answer, that stupid sale man interrupted and accused me for cutting the price too low. I cut the price!?!? What a stupid comment... I told him off since I’ve been silent most the time, that he had no right to accuse me for their mistake. I came to buy a product, your people offered me a deal, I took it and I got accused for taking a good low price deal??? Nonsense!!! He’s told, bulky, oz. Don’t go there. That store is a real joke. Poor that nice Indian girl that served me for working around those people daily. F!
I wish I could give zero stars. This company is the worst. Not sure which is more terrible, the customer service or the quality. We bought a dining setting which after being told 10 days delivery took 9 weeks then was faulty on arrival and needed to be returned and replaced. Replacement chairs all broke after 6 months and table warped and went black on the top!! Table was replaced yet again and then had same issue but this Ahole company only gives a 12 month warranty on their furniture because they know it’s junk And So won’t replace. I posted my complaint on a home deco sight, so many people said same thing from couches to tables...looks great at first but falls apart and is bin worthy after only a few months. Even the technician they sent out said it was a fault and cheap manufacturing, faulty adhesive that turned it from light oak to black tiger stripes! We always had a protective cover on it and never cleaned with anything! Company said oh that’s just wear and tear no wonder so many of their stores are closing down. Save the pain and finances and shop somewhere else. Looks like They are owned by fantastic furniture and that’s essentially the same sh&@ you are buying at an inflated price. Please don’t make the mistake we did, money down the toilet and a lot of wasted time In between!! Wish this would let me upload pics of the disgraceful setting we were sold and it wasn’t cheap either Shocking company with no morals or care for quality or care.
Appallingly low quality furniture and extremely low quality manufacturing. This company is trying to market themselves at high quality Furniture company whilst producing cheap and poorly made furniture. I purchased a Tasmanian Oak dining table and chairs set from Focus On Furniture and was highly disappointed to notice that some of the wood panelling started to warp, lift and crack on the top of the dining table after only 18 months of purchase. I followed the care instructions that were provided to me, and always ensured that I did not place anything hot on the table, and cleaned it as recommended. After making a complaint with Focus On Furniture, I was informed that all they could do was to send out a "technician" to have a look at it. The technician actually told me that he had seem similar manufacturing problems with Focus On Furniture before. I asked for a refund but was refused, as the table was "out of warranty". After several emails and phone calls, I didn't get anywhere. After researching my rights under the Australian Consumer Law, I knew that the manufacturing faults in the table meant that the table was not fit for purpose and it was completely unreasonable to expect a dining table to warp within such a short time frame. Focus On Furniture were not willing to resolve the issue, until I lodged a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading. No wonder they are closing down their stores. Save your time and money and avoid this company.
The Manager at Focus on Furniture Bankstown didn't want my money! I made it clear with the sales rep that I was happy to pay $1899 if she was able to waive the delivery fee, she advised she had to check with the manager first, she came back to offer me a paltry $10 discount, which I found very insulting and clearly the Manager didn't want my money, I was prepared to spend $1899 on the spot and to top it off, I had to wait up to 6 weeks for delivery...hmm, its a clearance store, you should have the stock available??, guess not, also from my understanding, retailers are struggling at the moment in Sydney, why wouldn't you waive the delivery fee?? Does not make sense, anyway, I walked out and walked into the Amart store across the road and walked out with my order receipt, paid $1699 for a new bed with free delivery, I saved $300, thanks to the Manager at Focus on Furniture Bankstown. You Snooze, You Lose.
Would give 0 stars if i could. Absolute joke of a company. Reschedule my delivery 3 times, then when the day finally came to have the bedroom suite delivered. Drivers rock up and DEMAND payment straight away. Before paying, we wanted to make sure everything was there. Turns out the bed wasnt there (the most important part of a BEDroom suite). Told them we werent paying until EVERYTHING was delivered. After backwards and forwards with them they finally called the store where they said they would find out whats happening and call back. 3 hours later they still hadnt called back. So we called them and they said they found out 3 days ago that the bed was "damaged". Asked for a refund for the deposit paid, they said we would have to send an email requesting to cancel the order and send through bank details. Advised it would take 10 days for the refund. Funny they can take the money straight away, but then cant refund it to you. Its now another 5 days later, get another email saying that they would need an ID and last 4 digits of the card. (Why did Harry not tell us this when confimring he had received the refund request?!) This company is an absolute joke, staffed by incompetent people who have absolutely zero idea on customer service, completely disgusting excuse of a company.
Very disappointed with our couch, I hardly review products and I never give bad reviews but this was so bad that I had to. We bought the Bayview 5 seater couch for $3,000.00 we have owned it for less than 3 months and it is excessively pilling and it is basically looking terrible. The quality of the product is so poor that I believe it should be recalled. Or at least come with a warning about how terrible the fabric is. We have previously had cheap ikea furniture that stood the test of time and was so hard wearing, and was so white even when we moved them on. The quality of the goods sold at Focus On Furniture are cheaply made and of the poorest quality. When I raised my concerns with the staff I just received a link to the warranty claiming that it didn't cover fabric related issues? and to basically just deal with it, so I have a new couch that I cannot feel good about sitting on and that I have to pay to have it re upholstered myself. I believe we paid way too much for this couch. It is upsetting and not a great outcome, I think they need to give consumers a reasonable expectation that a couch will last more than 3 months before it looks like its time to move it on. I am sorry to leave a review like this but I am floored by the experience and will take it as a lesson.
This is my second buy in that shop! The first one is fine, the second one is horrible, it such as a nightmare! I spent $4000 on that shop, bought a table with six chair, TV set, sofa, coffee table! First, the coffee table was out of stock , and they didn’t refund, they forced me to buy another coffee table which I didn’t like! Second, they put the sofa in car park , they said the sofa was too big can’t fitted into lift, I needed to pay extra $100 to hire other person take to unit, however the other person can fit it into lift easily! Third , they didn’t unbox and assemble the chair and table for us! As I pay $79 for each chair, it only cost $39 in K Mart! They usually assemble all furniture when delivery! Finally, all salesman was very impolite,the manager John told me the coffee table was out of stock, then I asked can I change other one or refund, he said you can change other one, but no refund, I asked why I can’t refund, he said it’s company policy, I checked the company policy , if the product discontinued , I can get refund, the manager said we just changed the policy, it such a ridiculous! That was a very bad shopping experience, I felt very stressed and horrible!I never met before, I have reported to NSW Fair Trading for that case ! Black list forever!
Bella from Focus on Furniture is honestly the most fantastic sales person i've dealt with in a long time! She was very attentive to our requirements and requests and always delivered service with a smile. We didn't purchase the item initially but went back a month later, and she still remembered us and what we discussed. We encountered numerous delays with the completion of the build of our new home, but the team at Focus On Furniture did not pressure us once. They called to check in and get an update occasionally which was fantastic. The team at Focus on Furniture Bankstown has far exceeded my expectations and Bella has truely displayed above and beyond customer service. Very highly recommend. Oh and the Dining table set we got is amazing! Truely amazing craftsmanship on the stunning beautiful raw edge timber dining table and the chairs are honestly the most comfortable dining chairs i've ever sat in. We've had great compliments from guests asking about the furniture. We'll surely be back to decorate and furnish the rest of the house.

I honestly thought your level of premium, old school customer service and incredible value product were a thing of the past in the world today. I have raved about FOF ever since I ordered my couch. We bought an 8 seat timber dining table from them, within 6 months it had cracks, they agreed ro replace it. The delivery was booked and they delivered another table that was already cracked. They rebooked another delivery and brought another table..This table leaves marks every time you use it, it's obviously not sealed correctly nor finished. They claimed its us and won't replace it. So now we have a dining table that has cup and plate marks all over it. These dining tables are made with offcuts glued together so are a substandard quality to other timber tables. The ones on display in the stores are built to a much better quality and the one you receive is basically a factory left over, the colour differences are so different its a different product every time.
I had such a great experience with the team from Focus On Bankstown and love my new sofa! I ordered my sofa months in advance as I was undergoing renos so I contacted the store to see if I could delay delivery, not only were they accommodating but they were so helpful with all my requests (I only saw the sofa pictured online so for example, I asked the team to take some “real” photos in store for me). Then when delivery finally came around they contacted me in advance to confirm and the boys who did the actual delivery were great- courteous and efficient! I’ve dealt with so many different people through my renos and moving and the Focus On team definitely stood out as one of the better ones. Love my sofa too (looks great and fantastic value)!
Lovely shop clean and tidy. I was there couple of weeks ago looking to buy a bedroom set then I found out a similar set in another furniture store just opposite of each other offers much lower price (found out online) so I asked the manager to advise me the difference between those two sets....then she started to talking very bad about the other company saying things which aren't true ( I went to the other store after and sale assistant explains me everything about the products without being nasty to other companies, so I dropped 3 k with them. to be honest the wood they use is much more soiled !!!!) this whole experience with Focus On made me feel uncomfortable, I don't think I will be returning to your Bankstown store anymore.
My wife and I were in the Bankstown store last Sunday to purchase a sofa set and mattress in addition to a dining table we have ordered previously from the shop. I was blown away by how knowledgeable and helpful Joseph was in assisting my wife and I in deciding on items in the store. The customer service he provided was amazing and just exceptional. Joseph went above and beyond our expectations in helping my wife and I in selecting the right products for us. I would like to commend Joseph and express my gratitude for all the help and superior service he provided. After this very positive experience I would definitely reccomment Focus on Furniture Bankstown store to all my friends and family.
I thought I found the perfect lounge until it started to pill and look so horrible after only a few months, then I was told by customer service that it’s not covered under warranty and considered wear and tear. I wasn’t allowed to scotch guard either because apparently there’s already a fabric coating on the lounge which is an absolute lie. Then the foam started to take a weird shape and I was told that I would need to have it professionally cleaned in order for a technician to come out and assess it, it seems like this company will do everything in their power to avoid honouring the warranty. Do yourself a favour a shop elsewhere.
While the staff at this establishment are nice their delivery company are rude and obnoxious excuses for humans. We paid $100 to have a bed delivered to our brand new home. Delivery guys refused to remove their shoes and in doing traces red mud through our home. They they proceeded to bleed me for $50 cash to remove the packaging. Who does this?! Every major retailer I have purchased from does this. Especially when you pay a premium for delivery. When I refused. This is how they left the packaging. I would never shop there a again and am going out my way to share my experience with others. Look at the photos!!
Purchased a new lounge and accessories from Bankstown store. The service was fantastic, very helpful and knowledgeable... I've been looking at buying custom lounges for 6 months and couldn't get the service I needed it until I tried Focus. I ended up with a great couch (not custom so saved $$) and the team was great. The items were delivered on Saturday and I've never had nicer delivery guys show up. They were so professional and very friendly, happy to have a chat and a laugh, made the whole process super easy. Great service all around, will definitely be back for other items.
They will hang up your phone before you finish talking, no dealing with customer on weekends on phone as "all staffs are busy in store now!" 3-4 weeks, means you need to prepare yourself high chance not to get it until the 5th weeks, No mattress? no problem, sleep on the floor. Want customer service, no problem, "You cant cancel it! you have to call back on Monday!" I wanted my another order-dining table to be delivered on Tuesday, so i called on Saturday, staff asked to call on Monday and I wont have it on Tuesday, as 48hours policy
Got charged $75 due to not being ready to have my goods delivered. The lady i spoke to on the phone when i had to rearrange said it should be okay to rearrange without paying the extra fee. Then someone called on my behalf to confirm bank details and remainder of cost and apparently the staff member says they told my cousin there was an additional charge, my cousin never told me but it's not her job its the stores problem they should have told me. You big tightasses i spent over $1500 on furniture you pay the measly $75.
Really poor customer service. Went into the shop twice and on both occasions was ignored. I went to enquire about bedding suite and the staff were very short with their answers. I was concerned about the quality of the drawers and asked if was just because it was floor stock the team member just said "well thats just how it comes, you don't move it around you have to open it with both hands". That quickly made my decision to leave and not purchase anything. Really disappointing customer experience and lost a sale.
Furniture is poorly made. Only 12 month warranty on dining chairs. 3 Benson chairs have split through the legs 18 months after purchase. Customer service accused me of treating them poorly. We hardly used them, just for 15 mins at dinner each evening. They insulted me with a small discount to purchase more of their furniture! Be careful as company has recently closed most of their stores, including Marsden Park where I bought my chairs. Company will probably go bankrupt anyway. Don't touch this furniture.
Finally, I received my orders and love them! My new buffet and a big mirror are fit well together. Very beautiful. I am very happy with all my purchases from Focus on. Dinning & coffee table and sofa etc... Thank you so much, Bonnie for your wonderful customer service. At Bankstown store, she is the best store person to talk to and grantee that she will give you kind advice for your furniture shopping. And also, their delivery people are always impressed me by the professional service. Thank you again.
I do not recommend buying anything that has electrical in it from this company. 1st we had a recall or risk email about the led lights in cup holders which I was told I had to disconnect n no replacement etc then recliner switches have supposedly gone n just out of one of the 3 warranties. Now they want me to drive 400kms to pick up the switches then recommend having them fitted by a tech all up about $500 including travel costs. Should of gone elsewhere n bought a mechanical recliner
Purchased Tex bed & bedside table for our youngest daughter. Although there were delays, because of supply & shipping issues (COVID related)-staff kept us informed & gave us options to opt out if we wanted. Glad we preservered. The quality of the bed is great; looks great & my daughter loves the storage shelves & "secret" panels. Thrilled that staff were willing to deliver to Northern Beaches. Great delivery & assembly service. Highly recommend.
Very disappointed in the quality of the products. We bought a large lounge suite (3x3) and since the first week of opening the lounge the material has been balling. I asked them for help and the basically told me it’s my problem. I have to use a material shaver to reduce the balls every few days and the couch looks years old. Very disappointed. We spent $10000 in one transaction and our couch looks like rubbish. Would never recommend them!
I recently received my delivery of dining table, buffet, coffee table, tv unit and hall stand. The service I received from the Bankstown store, in particular, Ivanna, was second to none. She was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for me. Each time I went into the store they were all so friendly and helpful considering I was so indecisive. I have no hesitation in recommending Focus on Furniture to any of my friends. I’ll be back too❤️
Spoke to someone at 3pm about coming to see a lounge before purchasing today. She advised they closed at 4pm, and I told her i could be there in 40mins which she said was fine. Arrived at 3:42pm to find the doors locked but some people still inside browsing. I waved down a couple of staff but they avoided eye contact, and no one picked up the phone. Waste of a 40min trip... I'll purchase elsewhere, thanks
The cheerful staff at Bankstown store were brilliant in identifying my needs when purchasing a lounge. From choosing one that I fitted and felt supported in, to the whole buying experience was one of the best encounters in retail I’ve ever had. I ordered in January and they held the lounge for me until I moved house in April. I rang to change the colour midway and no problem! 5 Stars Bankstown!
This is based on my experience. I purchased a lounge online, and while there was a delay in stock, it was communicated well. I received my lounge earlier than expected, the delivery drivers unpacked the lounge and put it together; they were quick, efficient, and polite. I love my new lounge (so do my dogs!) and, based on my experience with Focus on Furniture, I would recommend them.
I would give 0 if possible, avoid these people, bad quality, worst customer service, and rip offs. I bought a leather lounge nearly for 2.5 grands within less than 2 years cushions went down and springs damaged. I called to complain and try to replace all what they offer to take part of my lounges and repair and leave the rest of the lounge at my place. I wouldn’t recommend at all.
Delivery times were shocking and when it finally came they refused to leave the item with building manager. Re arranged delivery was again weeks away and an additional fee was charged for when the item was eventually delivered and signed for. Product is good but certainly won't be using them again due to poor delivery times and extortionate price for same (x2!)
Jazel served me over the phone. She was such an amazing help, very friendly and extremely helpful. I ordered four black on black vibe chairs which came from Melbourne to Sydney in just three days and picked it up from the warehouse where I was greeted again with friendly and helpful staff. Service was 5star and chairs are 5 star quality. Very happy

This is the 2nd time we have bought a leather lounge from them. Fantastic quality, service and prices. In the past we had priced around, this time we went directly to Focus on and got a fantastic deal for a leather sofa and dining table. (Silly me forgot to take a photo of the lounge) Will continue to shop here again in the future.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This has been the worst experience buying furniture, and now staff are being told they are not allowed to speak with me due to the complaint I have lodged. I have been kind and patient and polite, Focus on Furniture made the error and I am the one being negatively impacted. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY

Harry went above and beyond with our purchase. He definitely understood what we were after our conversation of what kind of concept we were after. He was patient and I definitely recommend coming into the store. The store has a wide range of furniture pieces that would suit all household needs.

Worst service ever. They will do anything possible to void warranty. Avoid this place for your future headaches. Products doesn’t even last the warranty period. Once you leave their store you’ll regret for buying from them forever. Save yourself from this fraud called Focus on furniture
Worst customer service and after-sales support, a brand new lounge with multiple issues. I reported all the issues to them multiple times and still no resolution.. No wonder, why shutting down all their stores. Store sales staff are very rude(after selling) worst company to deal with.
Walked around the store for 10 minutes, there were 3 staff members on duty, not one of them acknowledged me whilst I was there. There we no other customers in the store at the time, so , surely you would think one of them could assist. Very disappointed in the lack of service.
We spent our whole day looking for furniture in Bankstown. Finally we visited Focus on furniture store Anthony was soo good. He helped us find what we wanted he even gave us a good discount. I highly recomend this store. Fantastic customer service, good price,friendly staff.
Great service! I ordered by phone got a good discount as I’ve purchased off them before. My lounge is lovely And comfortable, the Kelsey 3 seat with Chaise. really Good quality and exactly like on the site will definitely be going with Them again in the future
Absolute terrible customer service by the manager! In addition to the poor service I was given a credit note for a deposit I had put down and the note had someone else name plus all their personal details including address and phone number - very unprofessional!
Cushions on my lounge are collapsed and had to go through fair trading for assistance. They deal it's not a warranty issue-1 person uses it and with a back injury I now cannot get out of it. Disgusting warranty and little to no compassion-DONT BUY FROM HERE.
Nice sheds of furniture sold here, I like the colour combinations of the bedroom set, soda and dining tables. We were very interested with The Australian wood dining set. No salesperson around but they are available at the counter if any help is needed.
Great furniture and customer service! We have the Vancouver lounge, Bennet marble dining suite with Kendall chairs, Montego bed frame, Cambridge bed frame, glenbrook buffet. So many and all for good value. Sure to buy more in future!!!
Bought a 3 seater lounge had it a few months when I noticed one of the cushions was sinking even though I had a 3 yr warranty on the cushions and 5 yrs on the frame they put it down to wear and tear obviously not agreeing to fix it

Purchased a boulevard king size bed. Support structure failed under normal body weight pressure. I had the bed for less than a year. Costumer service is disgusting. Nothing has been done after a complaint was logged a month ago.
I went in to see some of the lounges I had liked the look of online. I was approached by a salesman and even though I told him I was just looking and if I needed help I would let him know, he was so pushy I ended up leaving.
The manager John and the sale assistant Rayanna were fantastic. they helped so much and gave us so much advice, they even showed us how to put the product together. best customer service and the quality/ range is unbeatable

Had lounge delivered this morning. We were a bit unsure it would fit up the stairs but our delivery guys did a fantastic job. Love the lounge and really appreciated the delivery service.
