Extremely disappointing after sales service. It feels like once Focus on Furniture have your money, you don’t matter anymore. No follow up phone calls until I had to call to find out where my couches were on four separate occasions myself. I ended up emailing and got a response faster than calling. Purchased in August, was told mid-September originally for delivery, then in late September they delivered one of my couches as it has “just arrived from Melbourne”. Still waited for the second and was told start of October, then mid-October. Still no contact in mid-October, sent an email that went unanswered as they never answer the phone anyway. My partner ended up calling as I was over the terrible customer service, and conveniently it was arriving a few days later into Adelaide and they could deliver it a few days later. Again, a lack of communication that it had arrived, until we followed it up. I work in the customer service industry and I can tell you that a little bit of communication goes a LONG way. Seems like endless delays and no follow up phone calls from anyone, until we followed it up ourselves. If you’re going to work in customer service, don’t just stop the good customer service when you get thousands of dollars from people. Continue that great customer service and communication through to after the sale and delivery. It’s not rocket science. Communication goes a long way and it seems like this store needs to implement some procedures to ensure that once you hand over your money, that you actually get your product when you’re told. Regardless of the “delays being out of our control”, the time line of our delays was ridiculous. Don’t give people shorter dates on when they’ll get their product, just because you want to sell furniture. Give them “worst case” dates, or obtain more stock. All this store had to do was pick up the phone and call me to let me know of the delays, and where the couches were both at. I’d be far less annoyed if some communication occurred before my multiple attempts at contacting the store, sand listening to every excuse why they were both delayed. Seems like my review is very similar to everyone else’s online as well, but it’s too late now. Safe to say, we won’t be purchasing any more furniture through Focus On Furniture, and will be advising all our family and friends to avoid this store also. A very disappointing experience after spending A LOT of money on furniture. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Ordered a lounge and a bedroom suite. Delivery time was the defining factor why I ordered from FOF and made that clear during the purchase. Delivery was announced for 4-6 weeks which was ok for us. 4 weeks later I still hadn’t heard back from FOF about the delivery, so I tried to call to ask for an update. Nobody answered, left a voice message asking for a return call. Return call never happened. After some days I started calling every 30 min until eventually someone picked up the phone. I was given the information that the delivery would be 1 week later. One week later, no information received about a delivery, so I called again every 30 min until eventually someone picked up the phone. Updated delivery: 3 weeks later. By then the bed suite was already in stock in Adelaide, so I asked for a free additional delivery of the bed suite since everything else seemed to be delayed. The store person told me that the regional manager refused the free delivery but I could pay for the delivery. The store person offered that I could discuss the matter with the regional manager. He would call me. I happily agreed. That call never happened. A few days later I showed up at the store to avoid the 30 call rhythm. Out of a sudden everything was ready for delivery within 7 days. Happy about that information I arranged the delivery. On the day of delivery (7 weeks late by then) the delivery guys refused to go down the driveway with their truck. Although we had a shipping container being brought down that same driveway one month before, the driver decided it would be too steep for his truck. But the store would call me the same day and a delivery in a smaller truck would be possible the next day. That call never happened. The next day, I called the store again. On the phone I learned that a part of the lounge wasn’t in stock yet, would only arrive a week later and was marked in their system as a pickup by myself. That was new to me, so I asked for a free additional delivery again. Just like before that could only be decided by the regional manager. The store person promised me that he would give me a call. Still waiting for that call to happen... 8 weeks after the promised delivery date, still waiting for our furniture and an information when we will get it.

Workers are all over the place with information they provide customers. Informed on a Monday by one of their workers that delivery for Saturday is all good to go and final payment can be made on the same day if I can't get around to it this week. I decided to pay the final balance of my order on Thursday (today). I previously was able to pay over the phone prior to my last 2 or 3 payments with no issues but for some reason over the last few months they refused to take these payments and told me I need to do it online. Again to me that is a bit silly but no problem happy to pay online. FYI they don't send you an invoice - you need to call to request the invoice. Really dumb. I rang today after making my last payment to confirm my final payment has been actioned and to receive a final invoice to a reply of "no it will take a few business days to clear for us to see on our end" (understandable, but surely you can see a pending in your system). Not a major issue but then I confirmed my delivery date and address and the lady said that if the payment doesn't clear by Saturday, I will need to pay for another delivery fee. Like what? Why do I need to pay for another delivery fee if your systems are slow? I have already paid the agreed total - with assurance from a worker that I had all week to pay off the final amount or even do it on the day of delivery as the drivers will have an eftpos machine. I noted as well I will show the final payment from my bank statement but it went over her head. Not sure if it is someone new to that store but she seemed lost with the process.

This review is for Focus on as a company not this particular store. If you’re looking at buying anything that isn’t out the back ready to go, RUN! I purchased a lounge in September 2020 and it’s still not in my living room - that’s 7 months. The wait would’ve been tolerable if there was even a smidge of customer service...I’m warning you customer service just doesn’t exist with this company. I’ve had to phone constantly for updates no one has ever called me even when it went way beyond the delivery time frame. The manager of Mile End never called me back so when I called yet again I requested to talk to the regional manager. Now, up until this point (7 months in), I was frustrated and disappointed but the way the regional manager spoke to me and over the top of me trying to twist my words had me going. He has a serious ego problem and zero customer service! According to him he doesn’t have a manager just the company owner, idk if that’s true but if it is then he is in charge of all the stores and all these terrible reviews, especially the customer service ones which are a direct reflection upon him and how he manages the stores and it’s customers. He cared nil about my experience and how stressful it was doing all the chasing wondering if a $2600 lounge was ever going to show. He invited me to go to CBS that’s how arrogant and cocky this bloke is. Please do not buy from this company, their stuff may be nice but IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.

We had a very unpleasant experience purchasing a queen bed from a Focus on Gepps cross. The sales representative had informed us that the expected delivery date would be mid-April, so we advertised our old bed for sale around that time. However, we received no updates from the store and had to call their office in Gepps Cross. To our surprise, we were told that the bed had been delayed and that it would not arrive until the end of April. We were disappointed that they did not keep us informed of this delay. We called the store again at the end of April to check on the status of our order, as we had already sold our old bed and were sleeping on the floor. Unfortunately, the customer representative informed us that the bed was further delayed and would not be delivered until mid-May. We were frustrated that we had not received any updates from the store during this time. We understand that delays can occur, but it is unacceptable for a store to not keep its customers informed. We have had better experiences purchasing furniture from other stores like Amart, Haggle, and Fantastic Furniture. We advise potential customers to stay away from this store if they do not have the furniture available in their warehouse. It has been a very uncomfortable experience for us, as it is currently cold and we do not have a bed.

Bought a dining table and chairs and the salesman was very helpful and we agreed it would be delivered the following Tuesday. Waited around for it and still hadn’t heard anything so called and it took 7 calls to finally be answered at 12:45, only to be told it wasn’t booked in and the delivery driver was on his way back from my area to the warehouse because it was a quiet day. They said they would deliver it the next week and refused to deliver it the same day even though there was still 4 hours left in the business day. They delivered the next day after me having to find someone to be at my house to accept the delivery and they refused to put the legs on. I was told when I bought it that it comes as a table top and legs to get through doors and they will put them on. So they expect a single female to lift a solid wood dining table all by herself after explaining to them I live alone.... if I wanted flat pack furniture then I would’ve gone to Ikea and at half the price.

Very bad quality products. I bought the black seven seater sofa from them in Mar 2020 . Within 18 months all the seats of sofa got pressed, big gap came between the seats. When I asked them to repair it or replace it then firstly they refused it by saying it has been misused but when I contradicted their store manager from gepps cross store and area manager visited my place and after many reminders they agreed to repair one seat of the sofa. They took the seat away for three days and came up with the seat with no improvement at all. When I asked them to provide the solution then they said that they can't provide any warranty .since the sofa has been misused. When I asked them a defenation of misuse tand I told them that this is the best way to get away from the responsibility of giving the after sales service. In 20 months only my sofa looks more than 10 years old. So I decided to go to tribunal against them.

this was my 1st experience and will definitely be my last experience with this company!! I have never experienced such disgusting "service" from anyone in my life until I came across the AREA /STATE MANAGER . This jerk TROY talked over me every time I spoke. was condescending and arrogant. After 4 weeks of run around trying to get my mattress returned and finally got it delivered back to me, it was the wrong one !!! I had enough by that point He would not allow me to get a refund even though they had given me a brand new mattress.. offered me a discount of $150 ( which I took) as I wasn't going to get anything else from this pathetic company. the only decent person in this store was Zeke. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SHOP ELSEWHERE... YOU WILL ONLY CAUSE YOURSELF GRIEF AS THIS COMPANY COULDN'T GIVE A RATS BUM ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.. ONLY GAVE 1 STAR AS I HAD TOO

I purchased 2 different lounge set and dining tables from Gepps cross store. When they arrived, it was not the right fit for the space. I called accidentally to Mile end store and told them that they are just delivered and still unpack but the lady was so rude and insensitive. She told me that we don’t have exchange policy and you will loose your deposit etc. I was so upset and reached out to Gepps cross store. ZEAK was the one who helped us initially to choose furniture. He was really helpful and supportive. He guide me through to choose the replacement one according to the space. He invested his time and didn’t turned his back on us. What a wonderful person he is. Highly recommend to speak to him in Gepps cross. I have read reviews but can say Gepps cross store is totally opposite of Mile end store. Shop there

Purchased the Hamilton 3 Seater last year, absolutely LOVED it and had no trouble with the order/pick up process. Later this year I found a small split in one of the sofa cushions which happened on its own, so I emailed Zeke at Gepps X who was extraordinarily helpful. I asked for a replacement cushion cover and ended up getting a whole new couch in return under warranty. Delivery drivers took the old couch and set up the new one in one swift move. The latest Hamilton range has a much tougher fabric so the splits should not happen this time, but I am honestly so damn happy with the service and the furniture itself from FocusOn and I can't wait to get my next piece - looking at your dining tables fellas! Thank you again, highly recommended, and kudos to Zeke for being such a legend!

I was lied to so they could get a sale. Bought a whole bunch of furniture from this store just over 2 weeks ago.. when we bought the furniture we stressed we wanted to only buy if it was in stock and ready to go, as we just moved house abd being 6 months pregnant wanted a bed frame asap.. to which the salesman said everything was in stock and that we would receive stock on the following tuesday (we ordered on the sunday) ...anyway 3 weeks later and this pregnant lady is still sleeping on the floor. When I when back in to question why we were lied to they had nothing to say, no compensation or even a sorry was given. Just that it would arrive in the next few weeks and that everything was still sitting in Melbourne.... still to this day I am waiting.

The store is really nice good prices but the customer service is disgusting. I asked if I could get free delivery and literally heard the young male talking about me to loud enough for me to hear about the discount I was getting and pretty much looking at me like I'm worthless cos I asked for free delivery. They wrote down my number said they will get back to me and never bothered even tho I said I have the cash right now just need free delivery. Update: they must have seen this review cos he rang me back straight after and said no free delivery. I told him what I heard yesterday and howw I felt about the way I was treated by Jason( found out his name) all Greg replied was "I don't know about that." Like what??

We purchased a king bed set complete suite with king mattress from here. Paid extra delivery fees to take all furniture on first floor. The delivery guys took all furniture to first floor and left the mattress in the garage saying they cant take it because of tight stairs case. I was so frustrated. I talked to their manager about return policy they said they will charge me 20% handling fees and return delivery cost. What a rubbish! We had some more furniture delivery scheduled from Amart the following week. Amart delivery guys went extra mile and took their mattress to first floor. What a shame for focus on furniture. Extremely bad service. I am not going to shop with them again ever.

Bought a beautiful bed, mattress and two bedside tables. Sales consulatant was lovely, knew his products and when we told him we were looking at other stores as well, he completely understood. We got the best price (boxing day sales) and have been using for 3 months now - great quality too! Our bedhead is a signature piece within our home and is one of my favourite places to be. Great customer service, were also able to hold onto our purchase until we were ready to move in. Delivery was easy and i was able to build the bed by myself (wouldnt do it again haha, would recommend two people). highly recommend Focus on.

Absolutely terrible i bought a lounge suite with a $200 warranty which i was told i could have my lounge professionally cleaned every 6-12 months, i was told by the warranty place that i couldn't do that and focus on furniture have refused saying anything of the sort and wont refund me my money because the cleaning package was opened but yet i had to open it to register the warranty! Poor service and poor sales i will never shop here again so disappointing. I even spoke with the area manager who was rude and speaking over the top of me, he refused to do anything about the situation. I would never reccomend them.

I recently purchased the Belford Fabric 4s Elect. Theatre lounge. This is the most amazing couch we have ever owned!! It has all the bells and whistles you could ever want! The staff were very friendly and helpful. When I picked it up from the warehouse it was a 44 degree day and I had no one who could help me load or tie it onto my trailer.(i live 400km away and my helper ended up in hospital) the guys at the warehouse not only helped me load it but they helped me secure it in my trailer. I wouldn’t have made it home without there help!!! Highly recommend and big thank you to the very helpful staff!!

I had a really good experience at Focus on Furniture in GeppsX. I have been trawling online (not really one for going in and out of shops all day!!), and found the Remi range of whitewashed furniture. I called the store to ask some questions and then went in that afternoon to see the range. I was very impressed. It’s all very solid (really heavy) and it all came fully made up - no flat packs thank goodness!!! I bought a coffee table, a buffet and 2 hall tables. I’m really happy with my choices. It’s not cheap stuff, but not super expensive either. Good quality without the silly price tag.

Jason assisted us recently to buy a dining suite. My hubby sat on a leather lounge suite and suggested we get that too! A coffee table, lamp table and hall table all purchased the same day, we could not be happier with our fantastic pieces and the service! All items are top quality and our home looks amazing! Delivery time line was as we requested due to upcoming surgery. Delivery guys were brilliant. Entire process was so easy. We paid extra for them to assemble the furniture. They assembled the table and the bed, however not the chairs for some reason, they claimed the chair assembly was our responsibility. If I pay to have furniture assembled, I want it ALL assembled, that should be the service. In addition to this, they left all the boxes and plastic rubbish behind This will take weeks to get rid of. We had a delivery a few days later from Harvey Norman and they collected all their own rubbish after proper assembly. We won't be shopping at Focus On again.

I paid for my couch in full in early January. Nobody called me to tell me it would be delayed - I've had to contact them to find out my couch would be delivered in early March, then early April, now late April. Called the store to make a complaint, was promised a call by 5pm - I'm still waiting 4 days later! The sales experience was good, but after sales experience is rubbish. I've contacted head office and have been told to talk to the store. What a joke. Once they have your money, they don't need to bother with service, it seems!

My parents bought a mattress and the foam in it collapsed after 3 months. They tried to take advantage of their 10 year warranty and had it sent away which they said it would take 7-10 days to have it fixed. it took over a month, as they lost it making them sleep on the floor for that whole time. When they finally got the mattress it was the wrong one. Area/state manager was rude and unhelpful and the whole experience was way more stressful than it needed to be. My parents said the only decent one in the store is Zeke.

Zeke was a really great customer service technician. He is in stark contrast to the very poor service we received at the very same store by other sales staff who just couldn't be bothered. I thought about it heavily before buying furniture from this store due to the poor reviews but the furniture is really beautiful, came on time and appears to be great quality with excellent workmanship. One of the delivery guys was rude and smelt heavily of cigarette smoke which was very unpleasant, the other was OK.

So rude and unhelpful. Ordered at the start of Jan, still can not get my order filled. They said everything else was in stock so would deliver all but that 1 item today, which I begrudgingly agreed to after confirming over and over again that the rest was in stock and ready. But sure enough today only part of the order arrived. Rang the store and was told the reason it wasn't delivered because it wasn't really in stock! What?! Lies and a complete disregard and lack of care for customer. I'm disgusted.

Just sharing my experience with focuson furniture Gepps Cross! I have had a couple of problems with the product's I purchased but it's actually not their fault. But I must say they have been very responsive to fixing the problems and have really gone above and beyond to make me happy. Products delivered by crackheads. We paid for delivery, installation and rubbish removal, we got delivered, unboxed, and rubbish thrown in the back yard. The recliner broke with in months, they picked up the couch for repairs only for the parts to be a month away so they brought the couch back, upon the return of the couch we noticed a leg was broken and another one chipped and cracked. Terrible experience, I would highly recommend avoiding at all costs.

Received fantastic in-store customer service when searching for a lounge within my price range. Ordered lounge on Saturday stating delivery will be 7-10 days only to get a phone call next day to say they were able to deliver earlier. I received my new lounge on Wednesday & the drivers were very friendly and were careful placing into my loungeroom. I would recommend Focus on Furniture to all my family & friends & community. Well Done Gepps Cross store.

The store treated me like garbage. Was told by the delivery guys that they couldnt wait more than 10 minutes for me to get home and collect the furniture. They left before I could quickly rush home. When I submitted my complaint they said that they believed the delivery peoples fake story over mine and there was nothing they could do except reschedule. They clearly prioritise the customer second and the delivery people first. Shocked and appalled.

Really shocking after-service. The lounge we purchased was not in stock and we were told it would be 6-8 weeks. All well and good, but have now been waiting over 10 weeks and I've had to do all the chasing. Told it was supposed to arrive last week then when it didn't, was told it would definitely be here today, but after yet another call chasing up have been told it's not arriving until the end of the week. Really poor.

Bought a table from here. Arrived with two scratches. Instead of offer a refund, after 2 weeks waiting for a reply, they offered me $75 back to keep the dodgy table. In the 2 weeks waiting to hear from them I bought a scratch free table and boxed the other. They refused a refund. We like our couch. But don't buy if you aren't happy to keep a faulty item as they told me to contact my lawyer

You may be lucky, get a lounge you like and never have a problem. However if you do have a problem it has been my experience that they will not honor their warranty or return calls. I took them to court and won. Don't worry about consumer affairs. Just sue them cause when you win (if you do) it is on their credit history for 7 years. They should have just returned my calls. Good luck....

Purchased a recliner suite from Focus on Furniture. Got a price match from Black Friday sales from Zeke. The furniture was delivered on the date as promised and i was kept up to date with delivery. I was really struggling to zip up arm rests. Zeke was kind enough to drop in my home and fix them for me. Really great after sale service. Would definitely recommend and buy from them again.

Customer service was bizarre. Even the furniture look good but the way store man on the phone and store need to learn to talk politely. no more buying from this store anymore. Amart staff are more polite. I wasted my $2258 on rude behaviour. Extra charge 100$ for rescheduling even 1st shipping did not arrive to my place. No never FOCUS. 1st and last purchase of my life from them.

Disappointing after sales service. I purchased a couch, buffet table and 10 seater dining table Kennedy range. The dining table which had arrived after 2 months from ordering had a knot in one of its legs, making a cavity. This has not been sealed properly and when I asked from the store, they told its natural and shouldn’t be a problem. But it’s imperfect. Not helpful at all.

Very very happy doing business with Focus on Furniture. We would'nt have received this level is service from any other major furniture retailer. Not happy with customer service been fogged off by zeek To say that travel crush on leather is not their fault but I paid for a$3000 leather sofa and expect a crush problem in my head rest and that’s ok not my problem it’s your problem replace it I got a seconds sofa apart from other issues with the screws to put put together not good

We are loving our new Esperance dining table. We checked out many different stores but for me, focus on had the best price point with the most stylish designs. The quality is great. Although our table wasn't in stock on the day of purchase it wasn't too long of a wait and was an easy pickup.

Went in to get a new mattress. The salesman was heaps patient and went through the different types support and firmness. I was really impressed with his knowledge and his easy-going demeanor. The mattress is great and I don't feel my partner moving in bed. Definitely recommend.

I ordered a new lounge, which was delivered today in 3 boxes. Noone told me I had to put it together!!! It's also missing feet, so it can't be put together properly. And not sure if or when I will get the missing feet. I'm recovering from

Don't buy furniture from them unless you want to wait more than 3 months for them to have stock delivered to their Melbourne warehouse then more time for it to be delivered here. Maybe you'll get lucky and not have your $600- coffee table

Got our dining set here and love it. Chairs are super comfy, dining table is exactly what we wanted. Assembled so easily. The service at store was great, and delivery guys did a fantastic job of getting everything in.
