Terrible treatment from staff We made a booking on the booking app but for some reason it book two separate rooms for me and my husband which we didn't book it that way as we booked one room I then phone the Fomo Lodge and corrected our booking which we were told that everything has been sorted and I did explain we are coming down from the Eastern cape with a 4 month old baby and don't want any problems through and during the week with whatsapp messages and phoning make sure everything is in order I was told it was booked and we don't have to worry we can just come in and pay. The morning before our arrival I still spoke to them and was told your room is ready I still had another employee to confirm with us when we got there it was extremely bad there is no welcome or a sign informing guest where to go and book just beware in mind you have been driving for 8 hours with a baby that needs to be feed soon we finally found where we need to book in on arrival I inform them that we are Davis and we have booked the room with the bathroom and 3 beds which he stood there shocked and confused and said this room was never booked only the 2 separate rooms which I explained that I did phone and sorted it out and I have phoned and all the whatsapp messages through the week and even before we left to make sure everything is still in order and booked the employee said the room has been taking and we have to pay for two separate room. We left with our irritable hungry little one to try and find another lodge then we get a call informing us that the room that was booked for us is available then he lied about it by saying that he said the people where checking out at 10am and they are cleaning which wasn't what we were told but he was so rude just the whole arrival and how we were treated is unbelievable if you are in this type of business you welcome your guest.Close this lodge down or get high educated staff that know how to do their jobs. We found a amazing lodge which is Town lodge and immediately we felt welcome and we were given a room very quickly due to our little one such amazing customer service

I was here 4 months back,things were fine except: -receptionists leave the desk for along time you have to look for them when you need help,coz they don't respond quickly on whatsapp,when you want the gate to be opened you have to wait. - The light that was to be fixed was never,till I checked out. -A noise and smoke on the passage need to be dealt with. -As I'm speaking I am here again because it's closer to where I'm here for,the noise is still a problem,there's no order in the kitchen(of which I complained on my arrival that they never tell me anything about it) ,a group of guys are just doing mess there,cooking milk with the kettle we use it for water,adding spices in that milkthey say they'll wash it,what about the smell? Nobody is calling them in order. -Can the owner randomly pay a visit to see all these things? coz I believe it's the visitors who are causing these problems mostly.This one of smoking in passages is badly affecting our wellness Otherwise I like the place and is affordable -Alsi the owner must find a way of communicating neatness to the receptionists,maybe introducing uniform of some kind,they are really not presentable.

Absolutely horrible service. Arrived at the lodge and had to sleep in a dirty room. Been here for a while and being treated as if we are done a favor for staying here as if we do not belong. Everyday a different attitude. Not friendly service at all. Staff refuses to get us in contact with the owner. Complains about cleaning, they are too tired. Asked to move to another room since the room we are in has a leakage issue as well as lock problems. Being refused. It's against the lodges policy but they can't give us the information. Asked to speak to the owner numerous times and still refusing us.

Upon arrival and the first day, The Toilet didn’t flush. The face recognition was frustrating and most importantly, the noise level at night and mornings in the corridors. Trying to find the lady at the desk was a task. Tried to speak to a gentlemen about everything above, of whom ignored me which was absolutely wonderful …. The manager of this place offered so many things for free for all that went wrong, in the end got zero back except feeling nauseous from the revolting smell of cigarettes that came out of his mouth. Best you find a different apartment to staying at so you don’t experience this.

Check previous comments on other websites like booking.com there are complaints about noise and the one responding has a very defensive come back for poor reviews. Also to bring up ratings there are same people commenting 3 times or more that this place is safe and quiet etc it is not.

Location is spot on but the place is not neat, building material laying around, the external of the guest house is as important as the internal rooms. You can't just make a pretty bedroom and the rest of the place looks like a cheap hostel

It is in a lovely quiet neighborhood close to parks and very family friendly. However service was mediocre, rooms are spacious and bed was comfortable but could use a deep clean. You do get somewhat good value for money.

The place have roaches the rooms doesn't look like the pictures and the noise omw I booked here with a baby she couldn't sleep because she thought people was crying . Please take your kids .

+The only good thing about this venue was the room. the bed is comfortable and the bathroom adequate. the rest of the property is absolutely filthy.. -This venue is advertised as a self catering lodge. There is only a communal kitchen with no fridge, kettle or coffee/tea in the room..

Its always a pleasure going to Fomo Lodge the staff is friendly nd helpful and the rooms are always neat nd tidy thanx guys for great service nd hospitality till next time

The place was just ohk, went there for the pool though and when I got there it wasn't cleaned was super dissaponted... And would you please install DSTV in Guest Rooms. Nonetheless I enjoyed my self

The staff was okay i didn't like the room they gave me downstairs it was ugly, WiFi network was awesome though i had to check out following day due to rooms upstairs being fully booked

The place was comfortable. We were late but received warmly. I didn't stay long enough to enjoy the pool but hopefully soon we will.

It OK their rooms are on standard. They must upgrade the rooms into dstv not the channels from open view. I like to watch soccer.

-Staff not very helpful but friendly enough. Lighting in the room not great Bathroom not well maintained No breakfast offered.
