The change in policy, to have to walk your bike off the ferry, is crazy with bike cleansing most of the cyclists, a slip & fall is much greater than allowing cyclist to ride off. Whoever implemented this rule has no idea on what actually happens on the ferry with all the dew !!!

Great experience! I expected the one-way ride to cost about 9$, but a $6 flat fee was given. The ride was quick and breezy, and I was glad to be able to get out of my car and enjoy the views! I definitely recommend trying it out.

Ferry is closed until the beginning of May, maybe longer. Google maps made no mention of the closure, A 20+ mile detour and we were back on A1A.
