OMG, what has happened to the Foschini store at Canal Walk?? I usually shop at the Claremont Foschini and the service there as well as the staff are Excellent. Yesterday after a many months I decided to shop at the Canal Walk store. Firstly I walked into the store and before I had even started looking around at the clothing, I already had one hell of a Headache. The music was HORRIFIC to say the least and as loud as hell. The staff on the upper floor(about 5 young girls) were all socializing with each other and chatting and to Top it all.....DANCING!!! YES DANCING!! And that instead of coming forward to assist the customers.....(Apart from those girls, the rest were going about their duties) I have NEVER seen anything like it and I have been shopping at Foschini for almost 40 years!! It was like a Bloody Bazaar! I have never experienced this in Claremont or In Town where I've mostly shopped or any other store!! When speaking to another customer in the store at the time, she said, she experienced this as well there in December. Watch out Foschini, I'd hate to see you go the same way as many others lately.....Obviously, this Store is Overstaffed!!

Compliment for the new TFG store in Canal Walk.shop is very nicely upgraded..But today O would like to compliment some staff that assisted us so well..with smiles and friendliness and really going out of their way to assist us in store.their names are Yvette and Thabiso as floor staff assistance.They were really great help and went the extra mile to myself and my sister.also when we got to the cash desk, Thabisa was also very helpful as there was discounts on all our purchases..yay..good afternoon spent in your store as they made it easier with their friendliness and smiles..these days you don't get this kind of service anymore..love the free bags also for your goodies.Thank you once again for making our shopping so easy.and I also had a request for Thabiso..so just waiting on his return call.thank you guys

So disappointed by the MAC makeup section of Foschini Canal Walk today. I asked the make up artist to test a MAC foundation & powder product on my face. She used it very lightly with a powder brush on my cheek and when I asked her to do my whole face so I can see whether the product is the right colour for my skin, she said she was not allowed to, and yet she'd spent a whole 15 minutes on another customer and I'd waited patiently for my turn. Then she sold me the product, which I immediately tried on in the mall bathroom where the mirrors were a lot brighter and I used a sponge applicator which revealed that the makeup was too dark for my skin. When I went back to the Foschini to complain, I was told they couldn't do anything about it or I could just buy another product. The manager disappeared in the middle of it. After paying R750 for this product, I have sadly received appalling service. Will not be buying from this shop again.

Now if only half of any other retailers out there can give half such brilliant and fantastic service as one gets here at Foschini Canal Walk, then the World will be a much happier place. My better half wanted a specific fragrance, and off we went to Foschinis. I was pleasantly impressed with the enthusiasm we were greeted with from the representative on the floor. Not often I get to be so impressed with someone in the retail trade. And just when I thought we were done with being treated like royalty, the team behind the checkout counter took over the charm attack, and laid out the red carpet of Superior Service for us. Each and every one of the Foschini team that we got to interact with was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, polite, and worth their salary twice over. Thank you. Our day was better for the pleasure of having you treating us like customers of value to your brand.

I bought a bionic iron on my account on 20th March. However, my sister bought the same iron as a surprise. When I tried to return the iron on 21 March at 09:30 am, (less than 24 hrs) it was up to Tamlyn at Canal walk to give the approval. Tamlyn refuse to authorize the return even though it is confirmed that the iron has not been used. Tamlyn did not even have the decency to come speak to me face to face. This makes a loyal customer like myself feel unappreciated and after having spent thousands of Rands at Foschini, I feel so let down that if there is no resolution, I will be closing my account with Foschini and I will never support the Foschini group in any way again. I have logged Hello Peter complaint and complaint via Foschini online survey and have not received any response..

I visited the store this afternoon and purchased a handbag which was priced on the label R479, once I got home I took the bag out to show my family and noticed that I was charged R499 instead of the stated price which is R479. This is not the first time something of this nature is happening to me. The same thing happened to me when I purchased shoes,stockings and 2 pairs of earrings for Wid but when I told my husband he said just leave it. I'm very disappointed at this and the fact that it is not the first time. I would like to know what the store or management is going to do about this matter?

Im rating these 5 stars to one particular extremely pleasant young lady by the name of Aqeela. Aqeela assisted me by putting a full outfit together in less then an hour.i must admit i did judge her by the cover. Iasked one of her colleagues if there was a stylists in store that would be able to help me she replied I've got the perfect person and when I saw her I thought to myself noway what would she know but she was brilliant. Thank you Aqeela for the great customer service you have demonstrated today. You went above and beyond Foschini was certainly a pleasant for me today because of you.

Niven from the MAC foschini counter is one of the nicest people I've met in retail! He was an absolute gem .I would highly recommend any new makeup users or MAC lovers to visit him at the Canal walk foschini as he knows the MAC products well and can direct you to the correct things for your skin type. He was absolutely friendly when I just walked into the store and made my customer experience awesome till I left. I hope you're reading this Niven because I even told you in-store that I would love to give you feedback and I believe this is the best way to do it!

The Mac store in canalwalk has such a gem of a makeup artist he is patient and professional and go's the extra mile to insure you feel confident and informed before buying any products! He makes sure u understand how to use the products and his friendly approach is just so refreshing! His work is amazing and he effortlessly makes you feel like a princess. I'd highly recommend JD (@boywithbrushesza) if you need some proper advice before u go out to buy makeup!

I was so disappointed in the service received at the make up dept at foschini canal walk. The assistant was not able to give proper guidance on make up and what would suit my daughter. She was not helpful or friendly at all. On the contrary we were left standing around with no service at all. Mac Cosmetics make up artist saved the day.. So friendly and helpful will definitely be back to Mac. They got the sale due to proper customer service.

Everytime I go into the cosmetics section I get absolutely no assistance. Today was the worst where I apparently disturbed one of the sales assistants while she was doing her make up. I asked for the tester of a lipstick as it was missing and got told well if it's not there then there isn't one, she didnt even look or try to help. I had to ask for help in a tiny store with 5 assistants standing around. You lost my sale!

Different departments, different experiences. Bionic staff are really friendly and accommodating, always helpful and will explain extensively if you inquire about their different services. I love that! However, in the beauty department, upstairs where they sell all the different beauty products, they will just sell you anything to make a sale, irrespective whether it will suit your skin type or not. Very disappointing.

A fantastic store offering stylish, casual and sleepwear. You can also kit out your toddler or buy your favorite skin care brand or perfume. They also cater for plus sizes with a good selection of affordable clothes and shoes. This store can be found on two levels close to the center of Canal walk. The store has a wheelchair accessible entrance. Choose the correct level if you are unable to negotiate the escalator

Absolutely shocking! I tried calling Foschini to enquiry about something before driving a far way to get there. I called more than 10 times. Every time the phone was picked up and put down. Why bother having a phone number if no-one is answering! I then resorted to phoning Donna in Table Bay Mall and had the exact opposite experience! They immediately assisted me and even called me back.

MAC counter- I was there looking for a few items and an employee showed one item to me, before I could even ask to purchase she told me I must take a picture for later insinuating that I couldn't afford it. In fact her attitude from the beginning was pathetic. Please send this lady for customer service training. This was a slender lady with tattooed arms and blonde fringe 25 march 2022.

The most exciting store layout!(It makes all other clothing shops look rather drab)The colors, the fashion styles-dresses,tops,shoes,lingerie and handbags etc-variety a plenty.I found a beautiful handbag! The shop staff were very helpful and friendly.Longs queues at fitting rooms, but that's to be expected at month end. Overall a good shopping experience.

She was extremely helpful and gave me outstanding advice and service. A very rare breed of consultant and an absolute asset to her company and brand. Thank you Angelica!

Really excited about the Bionic salon that's opening soon. Met a lovely lady Kim that done a demo with flat iron on my hair I left shop on a high with bouncy curls. Kim phoned me the next day as promised to inform me of the opening specials. Good service and pleasant disposition. I will definately go back and deal with Kim.

Staff are very friendly but not very present on the floor. They also only have one cashier at any given time, and the queue gets quite long due to this. In the case where they do have another cashier, he/she is usually too busy with a cellphone sale that takes forever, so the situation is practically the same.

Great customer service! They staff is very friendly, helpful and patient, they don't mind taking the time to run you through the best skincare line for your particular skin, and often have some great specials. They perfume options are incredible and they also sell some beautiful, good quality clothes.

Terrible experience! The artist did not know what to put on my face and gave me the wrong color-match foundation for my face - not up to MAC make-up (Canal Walk) standard! My reference showed me the difference between someone who knows what they are doing and someone who does not! Very disappointing!

I went to the new store yesterday where dona and foschini are basically one I was so overwhelmed having to navigate and try to distinguish between plus size and normal size it's unpleasant and so confusing I was so uncomfortable.
